Salon De’ Dawn

First time here and found it on Unilocal.Great customer service and everything is explained before it is done. Had a free foot massage as my hair was being dyed. Crystal was WONDERFUL, very nice and hardworking. Dawn did a great job on my hair which came out great and very soft after the 5 step conditioning. I made my next appt already. The salon is decorated beautifully and is CLEAN. Crystal did a great job at keeping it clean and hustling.

This review is for Cassie. I recently got my hair done from Cassie for a friend’s wedding and she was great! I had already selected a hairstyle that I was interested in. When I got to the salon, she already had the picture printed out and gave me a brief on what she had in mind in regards to that style.
She took her time listening to me and answering any questions I had and she did a great job with my hair! Cassie is very sweet and easy to talk to and does exactly what the client wants!
I will definitely be stopping by soon!

1. They charge you $ 10 over the normal price if you have longer hair. Blo Out Parlor is $ 35 no matter what your length of hair.
2. I went in for a blo dry and asked for a pin set and no volume on top. She added root lifter to my entire head, which then made it super crunchy and made my face smell.
3. It took well over an hour and after taking the pinset out, my hair looked like I had just woken up — it had kinks in it and looked horrendous. The stylist then tried to explain her way out of it. In my opinion, the customer is always right.
4. I would never go here again — way overpriced for a terrible blo out.

Cassie Burdge at Salon De’ Dawn restored my hair to its 2-​year-​ago splendor, for which I am so grateful – for her time, enthusiasm, and professionalism, as well!
I had had 2 terrible restylings after my regular stylist moved away and had read about Salon De’ Dawn in a local newspaper. It is a comparatively tiny place in a small, quiet store area (though you don’t feel closed in), 3 chairs for now, filled with artistic bling and notable hair products. Owner Dawn and Cassie are both personable, kind, and conscientious toward their clients, from young girls debuting at their first event to mature women recapturing their youthful heads of hair.
Cassie spent time discussing my concerns, past styling experiences, and hopeful expectations – which she delivered upon! The affordable prices (I had a wash, cut/​style, blow dry) and quality results make other pricier salons I tried in Beverly Hills, South Coast Plaza and a few known North OC ones, a poor investment choice compared to Salon De’ Dawn.
Cassie styled my hair using items I have at home, rather than using styling implements, such as curling or flat irons, that I don’t use or intend to buy to recreate my hair look. She didn’t push me to unnecessarily buy yet more hair products to clutter my bathroom and telephoned the next day to ask if I had any questions or concerns.
Sometimes I think it’s easier to marry than find a good stylist! That will not be the travail at Salon De’ Dawn!

Dawn is an angel. I coincidentally found this place while I was getting my nails done in the shopping center and she was setting up for her grand opening. I seriously don’t think I can trust anyone else with my hair anymore. Dawn always takes time to ask how you’re doing and discusses what you’re going to get done that day. Her cutting technique is amazing. My hair has grown so much in the past few months that I have been going to her. I always went to Dawn to get a violet/​reddish ombré done. It turned out amazing and helped me obtain the exact color I wanted without using bleach on my hair whereas another salon could not obtain the color.
Dawn is seriously the best and recommend her to anyone in search of a hair goddess!

Came in on a recommendation from one of my friends, who has been coming to the owner, Dawn, for years. The salon is brand new and is so cute! There are sparkles everywhere! My appointment was to change my hair color and add some highlights. Dawn went over everything with me– exactly what she was planning to do to give me exactly what I wanted. She made me feel so comfortable with everything and was sure to ask if I had any questions about what she was doing the whole time I was there. People are always worried about trying out a new salon, but my experience was awesome! I love the way everything turned out and am so happy with my new hair! Excellent service and great prices– will definitely recommend!
