Let me preface this by saying that I am usually very impressed by Disneys customer service(you have to try the Napa Rose) My Fiancé and I were seated and sat for about 10 minutes before our server came over to us, she was very quiet, and didn’t introduce herself. We ordered and were immediately brought our wine, and then we waited for 1 hour before our food was brought. Before that though our waitress(Carlina? I believe) asked if we ever got it, because she was at no point in that hour checking in on us, or paying any attention to us at all. We then got out food with one plate between two of us. She said that she was going to bring us another plate, and then started helping other people by taking orders and chatting. Giving her the benefit of the doubt we gave her 10 minutes, understanding that they were busy, before asking another waiter to bring us a plate who was able to handle it for us immediately. She never checked in with us about the food or anything. I even had to ask someone else for the check when we were done because she never glanced at us the entire 2 hours we were there. We did not feel like a priority or that she even cared that we were there, she was far to focused on other guests and completely ignored us. On the up side the food and wine, once we got it, were delicious as always with Disney’s food, the service needs work!

Wow after reading the reviews(which seemed like most were not good ones) I was shocked at the pleasant experience I had with my boyfriend. The biggest complaint I saw was that they were under staffed and/or felt neglected. Disney must have read these reviews because there were at least 6 employees total working the whole patio lounge area. Upon walking up the stairs there was a nice girl waiting there with menus to seat us. Immediately after sitting down had a waitress ask us for our orders. Then had another waitress come and ask as well. I got the Chardonnay wine flight for $ 20. Such a fun idea to try the different local wines. They also have appetizers. We didn’t order any because we weren’t too hungry. A little pricey. But it’s Disneyland, in my opinion it’s worth it. This place is so nice to just relax from walking around and get away from the crowd. We went on a Sunday around 5 pm. A little difficult to find but so worth it. Just walk into the wine country restaurant and you will see a set of stairs just walk up those and it will lead you to the lounge.

Food and wine were great, but the service was very slow for how few people were there at the time.

A quiet place to take a break from the crowds of the park. The place did a transformation and no longer a full bar, but a wine place only. Lots of wines but are from the Disney wine family only. Some wines are a bit pricey. Food selection has increased since the last time I was here. I didn’t partake in any this time, but will be back to try it out next time.

Terrible service. The employees have absolutely no knowledge of their products. I came here with my S.O. to enjoy a nice afternoon off and have some fun, but this was the wrong place to go. We were overlooked several times. I also had to explain the flavor profile of a beer they had to a neighboring table as the server had no clue how to describe it. I feel like the wine and food was great, though my experience was seriously lacking. I will NEVER come here again. A huge waste of time and money.

As part of a full day of fun at Disneyland and California Adventure, we were looking for a spot to take a break, enjoy a few appetizers and an adult beverage(or two). This terrace above Wine Country Trattoria appeared promising, but we probably should have taken the hint to go elsewhere when the host said he would ‘try to scrounge up some menus’ for us. Um… OK. Undeterred, with precious menus in hand, we chose: — Aged Cheddar Risotto Bites — Flatbread Two Ways — Grilled Shrimp with Spanish Chorizo All of them were fairly good, however the description on the shrimp/chorizo dish listed carmelized onions and crostini. Apparently the crostini are invisible, because they were not on our plate. The mistake was ordering a second glass of wine. Did I ask for it right when our server was scheduled for a break? Did she leave and go on a few rides or something? We will never know. She just disappeared. I saw the full glass sitting on the bar, alone and unloved, for over 20 minutes. I was tempted to walk over and retrieve it myself but by this time we had finished eating and really just wanted to leave. Time passes… More time passes… Someone who I am assuming is the manager finally came by and apologized for the extensive wait, and we requested our bill(excluding the wine which I never received). He must have been required to enter nuclear launch codes or something into the register to generate our check, based upon the length of time it took to reach us. He did remove the flatbread from our bill due to the less than stellar service, which was appreciated. When we finally left, I glanced back at a group at the table next to ours, still without any drinks at all. Good luck with that.

I’d like to update my review to say that the NEWALFRESCOLOUNGEISAMAZING. Service has been bumped up a huge step, and so has the food offerings and libation menu. Gone are the mixed drinks and beer selections, but new is the Disney Family of Wine selections. which include something for everyone. Try the flights! They’re great, presented well, and taste amazing. If you haven’t been back here cuz you had a bad experience before, or it’s been a while, give it another try.

The Alfresco Tasting Terrace — where the wild cats roam at night — check it out, you’ll see. They have a good wine and beer list. Loved the bruschetta(brace yourself though as it’s very garlicky). I also thoroughly enjoyed the charcuterie and cheese board which comes with a nice collection of prosciutto di parma, Spanish-style chorizo, gorgonzola blue cheese, fontina, green olives, marinated mushrooms, walnuts, and dry cured black Beldi olives. Nice place to enjoy the evening. It feels very far away from the rest of the park.

I believe this place is called the Alfresco Tasting Terrace now, but anyways it located up the stairs from the Wine Country Trattoria. Came here to grab a quick bite and a round of drinks. NOTE: they only serve beer and wine here! If you’re looking for cocktails or hard liquor, move on to the next! The buddy and I ordered the Aged Cheddar Risotto Bites, which wasn’t anything to brag about. Kind of just tasted like some old risotto they had laying around, crumbled into a ball and deep fried. Nothing spectacular… For drinks, they have a very small selection of craft beers. I’m assuming they’re all bottled since I didn’t see any taps at the bar. But it was a nice hand selection of different craft beers that they had. We ended up going with the Napa Smith Hopageddon, a double IPA, and the North Coast Brother Thelonious, a Belgian style strong ale. They don’t serve these beers throughout the park, so if your looking for variety its definitely worth a stop to try out some other beers they have to offer. I assume they rotate what they have here, so don’t expect to see the same beers mentioned here. The view was nice from the terrace however I knocked a star off for the somewhat slow service we experienced. Pass on the food, come for the drinks! Til next time, cheers!

Headed over to CA Adventure Park for some adult drinks, since the only place to get alcohol at Disneyland is at Club 33. Ssshh! It’s a secret ;) My bf and I wandered through the Wharf and always wanted to try what was in Wine Country. We got a couple drinks and at the Mendocino terrace and were recommended by a couple cast members to go upstairs to the lounge after not finding a table. We were impressed! It’s a nice hidden patio overlooking Radiator Springs, we also caught the Pixar parade from up there. We decided to get some lunch and shared the Tenderloin Panini(beef tenderloin, caramelized onions, red peppers, mushrooms, and blue cheese aioli served with crispy onions). It was a perfect afternoon bite. The Cripsy onions were delish! After a few drinks we were on our way! We will def be back again;)

Service here is horrible! Reading other reviews on here, I guess I’m not the only one who thinks so. Service is very uneccesaarily slow. My boyfriend and I came here to grab a couple of drinks and the waitress gave us our drinks and never came back to ask us if we needed anything else or wanted water. Took her forever to get our drinks too. Then she took off without checking back with us. I had to get up twice to ask for the bill and give it back to another waiter. I wrote a big fat zero on the check. Very unprofessional.

Thats a 4 star compared with other food options within Disneyland. I got the lasagna which was great. My mom got the chicken pasta and it was good also. The calamari starter was pretty fresh tasting. The only thing to avoid was the acai sangria… it was just shmeh

Perfect place to go when you’re looking for some relief from the Disney madness. It’s nestled above a restaurant and you don’t really know it’s there, unless you know it’s there… if you get what I mean. Haha I like to go here to relax and have a drink, but because we are at Disney’s California adventure, they allow kids in here. Once I went with my boyfriend and there were about 6 teenagers sitting there with their parents just making a huge ruckus and mess. That was less than enjoyable, but what do I expect being at Disneyland. Lol. Nice small dishes and delicious drinks. They have a wine there exclusive to Disney parks, I’d recommend it, although I can’t remember the name. It states that it’s a Disney exclusive in the description though.

Unimpressive. Slow service. Subpar view. The drinks are enjoyable but not spectacular. I got the Magical Star Cocktail. The color changing cube makes the drink very luminous and beautiful in the evening, but you can get a «Madjito» at the Mad Tea Party with the same souvenir ice cube. I should’ve noticed there was coconut rum as one of the ingredients… wasn’t really my cup of tea.(around $ 11) The Pina Cola was delicious and refreshing on a hot winter night(yes, only in California can you enjoy a hot winter night).(around $ 10) For appetizer, we got Wine Country Shrimp served on Polenta Cake with Lemon Caper Butter Sauce.($ 9.49) — delicious but I wasn’t sure how fresh the shrimps were since they were a bit«fishy» in their odor. This hidden upstair lounge on top of the Golden Vine Winery is out of the view from most visitors. You may need to ask the hostess in front of the Golden Vine Winery restaurant for direction if you’re not familiar with the area. This place can get packed in the evening since it’s so small. I asked the hostess if we would be seated and she said«No, you can just find your own seat and someone will come serve you.» We walked upstair and seated ourselves. After 5 minutes, I wasn’t sure if I was go up to the bar. I flagged down a server. She said she wasn’t serving our side but our server will be right with us. He didn’t show up until another 10 minutes. The whole time we just felt very neglected. The lounge is intimate since you can just pull up a chair and enjoy the company of your party. But the sides are so high, I don’t see how you can enjoy the World of Color from this angle.(Is there another side?) Car’s Land does look nice in the evening off in the distance(but they stop seating people around 8:30pm, so don’t go too late). I’m not sure if I would want to come here again. It’s a good place to sit down and relax. But I wouldn’t come here expecting world class service.

We love Alfresco Lounge. From the limited eats to the tasty full bar of drinks. A personal favorite is the Red Stag Lemonade. Get there before they stop seating people and watch the World of Color, while relaxing with a cold beverage in your hand.

I’m surprised this place doesn’t have more reviews… perhaps not many folks know the true identity of this fine locale? To be fair, I had no idea this place existed until my last trip; just when I thought I could list all of DCA’s drinking establishments. The cocktail menu is pretty standard across DCA establishments, but the highlights here is the extensive wine selection. Beer is limited, so you’ll need to think about what you want and visit the appropriate establishment. The food here is so-so; imagine classy, more upscale finger foods(fritto misto and a tenderloin panini with fried shredded onion).

This is probably the best kept secret at the Disneyland Resort besides Trader Sam’s. It’s essentially a patio off to the side of the Golden Vine Winery but you have to go up a set of stairs to get to it. When I went, the parks were quite busy but the lounge didn’t reflect that. With it being up a hill, there’s a nice view of Cars Land, Bugs Land, and the surronding area. As for the food and drink, it’s your standard California Adventure fare drink-wise. Only exception is that they do have a separate wine menu. The food is only decent though. The Alfresco Lounge lacks the fun of the Cove Bar or Trader Sam’s but it’s a very nice alternative and definitely a great way to get out of the madness of Disney for a time-out.

i have had a premium pass for the past two years, by the time my current pass expires i probably would have been to the resort a good 200 times over the past couple of years and i just found out about this place last night?!? after being rejected from the cove bar(like jimmy n), i was directed here by the cast member who rejected me at said bar and i was very pleased with his suggestion to go here. and when i say rejected i mean they were’t searing people because of world of color. the lounge was very nice and intimate. they have a limited menu when it comes to food unlike the restaurant it’s a part of but the food is not bad. i had the tenderloin panini, which was served with fried onion and i would definitely order it again. i would say that this is more of a snack than a meal though, so don’t expect to get full. i also tried my friends caprice salad which was good but also very small, especially considering the price. to drink i had a mojito and the bar tender made it just right. he or she put enough liquor to make it so had a good buzz and still made sure the drink tasted right. like trina d i’m going to be nice and round up from 3.5. although my food and drink were 4-star quality. the service was so slow. i went with the 4 though because even though it was slow, they were very polite. i wouldn’t go here if you’re trying to get a lot done in the park that day. also don’t forget to bust out your annual pass for a discount =).

3.5 stars rounded up. The service is SLOW. They are quick to take your order but it seems like a million years passes by before you see your drink. And when you need your check, your server is nowhere to be found. However, the lounge is RELAXING. There are no kids, it’s up high, and at night it’s lit up all pretty-like. The fact that it’s in Disney California Adventure makes it just as desirable a spot to just hang out and have a drink. Yes, you can drink at Disney, just not at that other park across the way, unless you have membership to an exclusive club. The Alfresco Lounge has a very short list of bar food on their menu but a long wine list. They also serve the Banfi Rosa Regale which is one of my favorite sweet wines. Check it out if you want to hide from the masses for some down time.

A fellow passholder told me about this place and at first I didn’t believe him. A terrace-level bar, with delicious mixed drinks, and a sweet view of DCA? You’ve got to be kidding me. I even asked a cast member outside the Golden Vine Winery about this«upstairs bar» — SHE didn’t even know what I was talking about, and consulted another cast member who thankfully directed us to the stairs. But there it is, just up a small flight of stairs by the Wine Country Trattoria. It’s got maybe 12 – 15 tables and some lounge/sofa seating, serviced by a single bar, all under wooden beams laced with white lights. They also have heaters for when it gets chilly. It’s an awesome place to relax and take in the expansive view of… well, construction, for the most part. But hopefully that will change on June 15th. I had the Superfruit Martini(I think that’s what it was called). It was very similar to a Cosmo, and it was delicious! Drew M. had a glass of wine — some sort of vigonier blend I think, and that was also tasty. We didn’t indulge in any of the appetizers — the list was a little thin, I thought — but I’m told the caprese salad is excellent. Next time I’m going in for that Magic drink with the light-up ice cubes!
