The food, it’s alright, not terrific and not worth what you pay. That being said, the experience is worth it. Such a fun restaurant, the staff is amazing, and the service is spectacular. We took our kids and Anthony was our waiter and he is awesome, the kids wanted to take him home with us. Great time for all of us. I think if you were to go here with a group of adults it would be a blast. I recommend to anyone on vacation!

Came here with some friends wanting to give into the novelty of the whole thing. In short, we had a blast! The food is not why you go here, it’s alright. But it’s a great experience what with watching the movie and the awesome staff. If your a fan of the movie you’ll be a fan of this place!

I ordered the shrimpers net catch from the appetizers menu, half & half(Cajun style and garlic spice) because I was led to believe that the Cajun would be spicy. Fortunately it was pretty mild and the butter garlic was a bit too sweet for my taste. I enjoyed the Cajun flavor so much more. But the highlight of my visit was when our server began asking my date and I Forest Gump trivia, which quickly turned into asking my date trivia about me. I agreed to this scheme because he was very talkative and I was beginning to be annoyed that I wasn’t feeling engaged in getting to know each other. And oh my, when he wasn’t able to answer questions that we’ve gone over like, who’s her best friend, what’s her favorite color, and the dessert item that will absolutely make her happy, I was so thrilled that he made him look bad and caught on that he wasn’t putting in the time to learn about me. I don’t know what were the server’s intentions were, if he had a feeling that our date wasn’t going so well or if he was trying to really end it there and then, I’m very glad that our server made my night.

This was my first visit at this restaurant. I was blown away that this restaurant existed and was base from the movie Forest Gump which is one of my favorite and a classic movie. Environment/Atmosphere: I stepped in and I adored and was simply fascinated with the décor. They displayed clothes that Forest Gump wore and displayed variety of décor that sets in the time period. Service: Located on your table, they have this license plate that says«Run Forest Run» and behind it is another license plate in red that says«Stop Forest Stop». It’s such a cute and clever idea. When the sign was on «Run Forest Run» it just indicates to the waiters that you don’t need service at the moment. But when you switch to the«Stop Forest Stop» a waiter will know you need service and stop to serve you. My experience today was spectacular. My boyfriend flipped the sign over and this waiter stopped cleaning a table when he heard the sign and came to service us! How amazing and quick! And they still service and asked how we are even we didn’t change the signs. Food: We tried the Shrimp Net Catch and Bucket of Boat trash(recommend doing half and half for this one). Shrimp galore! Delicious! And there was definitely a food coma afterwards. We also got two alcoholic drinks: Coronita and the Ice Tea which was amazing! And you get to keep the glasses as a souvenir :) They have a gift shop inside and you show your receipt to get a brand new glasses. Cost: In total it was 79.00 dollars not including tip. It is pricey but it’s seafood type of meal. And seafood isn’t always abundance especially when a certain fish/sea creature isn’t in season. 5⁄5 would come back and I highly recommend it!

First time ever trying Bubba Gumps. We swung by after a long day of Disney walking and needed to feed the beast. Our server was mad cool, and quick on the draw. We ordered a wide array of shrimp and shrimp type stuff. Everything… literally EVERYTHING was delicious. The hush puppies and boil with Cajon spices were particularly tasty. I would definitely return. We were pleasantly surprised by the waiters Gump knowledge and entertainment aswell. I would say that added the 5th star effect.

A restaurant after the movie Forrest Gump! How cool is that? There are many things from the movie that you can see in this restaurant. We only stopped by for drinks, but even that was pretty cool. You order one of their special cocktails and you get a free souvenir glass to bring home! I really wanted to try the food but i was already full from before, so I will definitely come back.

Omg, I haven’t gone to Bubba Gump Shrimp Co since my 2nd visit to NYC before I actually lived there. It has literally been like 10 years since I’ve come here and mainly because the one in time square is SO busy and packed with a bunch of people walking around, which usually steered me from visiting. Since moving to Cali a friend suggested we eat at Bubba Gump and since I was hungry for seafood I figured it couldn’t be too bad but I didn’t have my hopes up. There were so many catchy, good looking items on the menu that it actually made it hard to decide! I ended up ordering the grilled tilapia with sautéed spinach and creamy mash potatoes with lobster sauce. Omg was it good!!! Like, I ate EVERYTHING! The fish was so tender and the creamy lobster sauce was so delicious. The waitress made mention that the dish is a popular item on the menu and I see why! In all, the place was clean, staff friendly and the food didn’t take long to receive. It’s a must on your list, especially if you are going to Disney land!

this place overall is about 3.75 stars. it was pretty average. considering it is a themed mass feeder, the food is pretty good. the location could not be more perfect. cheap parking in a town where you easily pay outrageous prices. there are plenty of nearby shops and entertainment. they have adorable stop Forrest stop signs to signal your waiter. definitely a more enjoyable meal if your family loves the movie Forrest Gump. my family had a blast droning out the many ways Bubba’s family has served shrimp.

Had an excellent time and waitress. Forgive me for not remembering her name but she was on it! She realized before I did that my order was wrong corrected and even offered a discount. This place is steps from Disneyland which is our next destination. Very clean and tons of parking. A bit pricey but worth it.(Total bill was $ 80.71 for me and my 9 yr old) The only problem I had was the tempura shrimp which was very oily but I’m also not a fan of tempura either so that’s ok. They only gave me three of the coconut shrimp then at the bottom tons of frys which I thought was a bust! But at the end we got to keep our bubba Gump shrimp glasses that light up at the bottom as souvenirs so my daughter was pretty excited about that.

Appitizer: Fried Mac & Cheese balls; they were okay. The Hubby liked them(he likes anything deep fried) but I thought there was too much Rosemary in them. Rosemary tastes like dirt to me, so I may be biased. Soup: Gumbo; it was good. I make my gumbo thicker and made with peanut oil for richer flavor, so again, I might be biased. Main Course: Jambalaya; best jambalaya I’ve ever had! Pretty spicy, for those who can’t handle spice but I LOVED it. I love big flavor and spice and this was amazing. Dessert: Key Lime Pie; super yum. Creamy and tangy. Perfect end to a not so great beginning. Service was fantastic!

As I mentioned in my previous review, we visit Bubba Gumps 4 – 5 times a year because this is C’s favorite place to eat in So. Cal. And, as I’ve mentioned previously, I’m not all that concerned about the service. Sure, it’s important, but I go to restaurants for the food and EXPECT good service. That being said, the service on this visit was crap. When we arrived around 9:15, we told the hostess that we wanted to sit in the bar because we wanted to enjoy the happy hour menu. She told us that there was no available seating in the bar and that the wait should be about 15 minutes. Well, that’s fine because HH doesn’t start until 9:30 so getting sat at 9:30 would be perfect. So we wait. And wait. And wait. And wait. Since we’re sitting right inside the front door we can see the hostess the whole time we’re waiting. She was busy seating other guests and doing her side work but she was also ignoring us. After waiting 20 minutes or so I take a look around the corner into the bar and much to my amazement, there are 5 open tables. FIVE. Why weren’t we sat when the first one opened up? I also see what appears to be a manager talking with another employee near the bar. She had a headset on and lots of keys on her belt so I go over and ask her if there was a reason we were not being sat in the bar? This very nice lady looks around, see’s all the open tables and says, «no. I can seat you right now». Thanks for nothing hostess. This manager lady tells me we can sit wherever we want while she gets us some menus. We took the same booth we had on our last visit which was neat. Our server definitely gave us the feeling that we were bothering her. Sorry. C ordered his usual, Forests Seafood Feast($ 19.99). This feast has fried shrimp, fried fish, seafood hush pups & fries. Since the last time C didn’t really care for the hush pups, we asked if he could substitute more fries which she told us would be fine. The fish and shrimp were both lightly breaded and C said they were both very good. K had the Net Catch entrée Garlic style, $ 21.29. The last time she had this Cajun style and that is a much better option. There was plenty of beer steamed peel n eat shrimp, carrot and celery slices, potatoes, corn on the cobb and Andouille sausage tossed in garlic seasonings. But, the dish is very one dimensional without the Cajun seasonings included and was really just OK. As usual, we got here late because we spent the entire day at the beach. But as I said, that’s fine because I order off the HH menu. This time I ordered the HH Chips & Guacamole,($ 4.00) and the Fried Fish Tacos($ 6.00). This is plenty of food. Plus, K never eats all of her food so no one was going to starve at this table. The Guacamole was fresh and extremely tasty with just the perfect amount of seasonings, lime and garlic. The bomb. The fish tacos are just soo yummy. The fish is lightly breaded and then quickly fried. They add Mayan Salsa, Avocado Tomatillo Salsa, and Mexican Crema. Winner winner Fish Taco dinner. I got 3 this time, not sure what was up with that but I found out when the bill arrived. Our server rang in my Fish Taco order as a regular diner, not off the HH menu. Ah, that’s why there were 3 instead of 2. We told our server and she had the bill adjusted. One thing to note here is that we parked in the parking garage right behind B.G.‘s. We got our parking ticket validated as we left butt this time, when we were leaving the garage, the parking attendant informed us that we owed money for parking. Huh? We’ve never owed. She informed us that B.G.‘s now only pays for 1 hour. Seriously? 1 hour. Who eats in 1 hour, including parking and walking and waiting? Anyways, I asked about the other restaurants nearby and the parking attendant said it varied, some paid for 2 hours but a few paid for only 1, like B.G.‘s. Hey, B.G.‘s, that’s crap. Something else to note is that from Sunday — Thursday, the reverse HH only lasts 30 minutes. Yep, 9:30 — 10. Crazy. Has to be the shortest HH in history. They should call it HHH, Happy Half Hour. Crappy service, good food, great HH deals. 3.5 Stars

I came here in Saturday and wow! I have been to one of your locations before but this was by far a better experience! I was in a group of 7 and we were greeted and asked if we wanted indie or outdoor seating. From there we were taken to our table inside. We were thrilled to see the drink menu, then greeted by our waiter, Taylor. He was enthusiastic and gave us all great choices and help! I loved it and I will go back again!

I have never been to this location, but i have been to the Long Beach location a few years ago. I enjoyed the Long Beach location because you can walk the pier and have the Aquarium right across the street This one is in a shopping center and across the street from Disneyland. Well anyways, the food was delicious!!! And the service was outstanding. Just walking to our table my wife and i were greeted by 4 workers! 4!!! I was amazed with that alone. This place definitely gets a 4 star from me, i would give it a 5, but the prices are a little high and i didn’t get as big a portion as i thought i was going to Still delicious though!!!

One of the best bbq ribs I’ve ever had and overall service and food quality. We came here during Diamond Celebration for Disneyland — as you can read below, turned out disastrous. However, Bubba Gump was the saving grace. Let me recount what we ordered. — Pear and Berry salad– this was amazing, the texture and flavors exploded, and since it had a lot of fruits, if I recall it had strawberries and raspberries(?), with goat cheese of sorts, this was one of my all time favorites — Forest’s Seafood Fest — this was pretty good, not a fan of shrimp, but the hush puppies and fish with tartar sauce was wonderful. — Dixie Style Baby Back Ribs — this was finger licking good — in fact, it ruined another ribs place for me, definitely try if you can. It was succulent, the ribs were smaller, but the flavor and meatiness/fat made it one of the best bbq I’ve ever tasted. Was thrilled with this dish. — some sort or steak or burger — can’t remember, hubby ordered this one and it was delicious too, but my ribs was mindblowing . Couple with some booze and cocktails, our bill came out to about 100, which is pretty good for 4 people. I will definitely go to another Bubba Gump again, as this was really good. Oh, and service was beyond expectation — we didn’t get to answer all of the questions, but had a really good time.

Food was amazing(I had the«boat trash») and the service was excellent. Tim was really nice and checked in with our group often so we never had to wait long for refills. I’m not going to lie, I expected sub par service from a restaurant so close to a theme park. But Tim and Bubba Gump’s did not disappoint! We’ll definitely come back the next time we’re in the area and craving some boiled shrimp, broiled shrimp, fried shrimp, crab legs, and hush pups… …“and that’s all I have to say about that.”

The saving grace of Bubba Gump has to be their amazing staff. So upbeat and friendly, they allllmost make you forget that you’re eating at a big chain where most things are probably not super fresh. I can’t complain about the food per se. It’s not bad, just nothing special. The drinks are fun, but there’s no alcohol in the alcoholic beverages, despite what they’re charging. Overall, it’s a pretty consistent experience at all Bubba Gumps, it’s just nothing to write home about. Stay Cheerful ;)

Bubba Gump Shrimp Company is a shamelessly fun way that a corporation saw to market one of my favorite movies of all time. Bubba spends a long time listing all the ways one can prepare shrimp, and this restaurant does a good job at offering a large selection of those choices. I like the rotating special menu. The big light-up silly glasses always seemed to be enjoyed by children and tourists alike. They have good local beer selections and great iced tea. The shrimp are good quality, regardless of what you order. I’m a fan of the jambalaya, shrimp sampler, seafood mac & cheese, and basically everything else I’ve tried. Prices are high for what you get, but the food is good quality. It’s a fun place to eat! This is the second location I’ve tried. Located along Katella St. in Anaheim, it offers a gorgeous view of the huge palm trees and a prime people watching spot. We sat on the lanai, which was a little uncomfortable as the sun was going down, but soon became a relaxed spot to be. We had giant local beers– an IPA, that was perfect with seafood. Our waiter was great, young and energetic. The place was happy, so so were we. Fun place to eat on vacation!

Me and this place go together like peas and carrots. My mama always said, if you’z ever in Anaheim, you best pay a visit to bubba gumps. The best thing about visiting this place is the food! I must’ve drank me fifteen Dr. Peppers. Shrimps so good; You can barbecue it, boil it, broil it, bake it, sauté it. There’s shrimp-kabobs, shrimp creole, shrimp gumbo. Pan fried, deep fried, stir-fried. There’s pineapple shrimp, lemon shrimp, coconut shrimp, pepper shrimp, shrimp soup, shrimp stew, shrimp salad, shrimp and potatoes, shrimp burger, shrimp sandwich. That, that’s about it. Lieutenant Dan. Ice cream!

I’ve been to at least four other restaurants in the Bubba Gumps chain and this was by far my favorite only because we finally got our Forrest Gump trivia! We went on a Saturday night in a very busy area and we didn’t have to wait one minute to be seated. Our server was amazing and very attentive! I ordered the macaroni and cheese with shrimp which honestly sounds really strange but it was one of my favorite meals I’ve ever had! Not to mention the amazing garlic bread!!! I really loved my dinner. My boyfriend had the accidental fish and shrimp, and let’s just say, his plate was completely empty when the bus boy came ;) I was able to order the Apple blitz cocktail without sweet-and-sour, even though the bartender advised me you would taste bitter, it was way more amazing than they were expecting! I loved it! Came in a mason jar like wine glass, was delicious! This restaurant was in walking distance of the hotel I stayed at and very close to Disneyland. If you’re a family visiting the area, this place is fantastic because of all the Forrest Gump memorabilia! I have nothing but positive remarks for this restaurant, and even though my boyfriend and I walked here, I know there is a parking garage and I’m sure they validate parking! I will be back for that macaroni in a skillet ;) Our food came out rapid fast and I was shocked, so was our server. She said the normal guy who comes by was trivia questions didn’t even get a chance because our food arrived so quickly! She entertained us with a few questions and I surprisingly got them all right toot toot ;)
