Chip ‘n Dale Treehouse

I was humming the theme to myself when we saw the treehouse… only to be REALLY disappointed when after a short climb up the stairs — and the one room inside — and down the back, we were back outside. As Lela Rochon’s character said in «Waiting to Exhale»:
«That’s it? Damn… I could’ve had a V-​8.»
It’s nice on the outside, but definitely an attraction for the little ones (oh, and make sure to duck as you’re climbing up the stairs).

I don’t get it. Maybe I’m too old to truly appreciate this. I mean, yeah — I got a kick out of seeing the sign, and even took a couple goofball pictures in front of it (singing the «Rescue Rangers» theme song to myself the entire time), but the treehouse itself?
Maybe it wasn’t fully open when we went. Because there really wasn’t anything in it. Were we missing the props? The story? The point?
We hiked up to the top, looked out the tiny window, clambered down the back side, and then we were outside again. I stopped, looked up at the tree, and said to my husband, «Is that it?»
Indeed it was. I guess it’s more tailored to kids. I was expecting something like Tarzan’s Treehouse, which has a story to tell and things to see and experience. This was just a bit of exercise, squeezed into a fake tree.
It could really use a bit of updating, and some inclusion of the characters to give this attraction some life.

The Chip n’ Dale Tree house is a walk-​through attraction located in Mickey’s Toontown at Disneyland. It’s an adorable tree house with hanging acorns adorning the tree’s branches. There’s really not much to it. You walk up, quickly glance around the little balcony, then walk back down. Not much excitement there for the adults and older kids, but it keeps the younger ones briefly entertained. Even my little three-​year-​old was expecting more to it. Five whole minutes later we were on our way to check out the rest of Mickey’s Toontown.

You run up, you run down. Kids love it. Not recommended for tall parents. My husband is 6′ and could not go after my son. Luckily, you can’t get lost. You can see them from outside.
Not much too it, but kids don’t have high expectations. AND it is in a SHADED area.

Chip ‘n Dale Treehouse is definitely not for adults. The small confines of the treehouse leave only enough room for children to really explore it-​although smaller or more adventuresome adults may be able to squeeze inside too. I love the treehouse because it is fun and creative. I love how Disney brought Chip and Dale’s Treehouse to life.

not alot to do… but the kids seem to love it… there is enough seating outside and your kids can go through it over and over and over… no lines

Ok. I can barely fit in this lil place. I don’t know how the kids can do it.
What happened to this place? I used to love this place when I was little. Maybe it’s because I can fit into it or I found everything amusing.
Not much to do here. So yeah.
Kids love it though plus it’s hardly crowded.

Chip and Dale seem to be two of the most forgotten characters at Disneyland — there is hardly any merchandise or themes involving this duo at all. So I was pretty excited to check out the C&D Treehouse on my last visit.
It looks pretty epic from far away. You rush inside, climb the winding staircase, get to the top, and… that’s it? That’s IT? You can either exit on the left or right. What a waste of space! You’d think it would have more levels or more involvement of the characters. It’s a huge disappointment and I feel like C&D deserve a better attraction than this tree shaped staircase.

Run! Climb! Run! Climb! Now lets go take a nap.
The Chip ‘n Dale Treehouse in Toontown is a perfect place to let the little ones loose and let them blow off all their energy. It is one of those places where you will see them running around over bridges and up stairs and when they are done hopefully they will be ready to go take a nap afterwards.
This attraction is one of those places that I really wish was something else in Toontown. You have to walk all the way to the very back of Disneyland to get to Toontown and then all the way to the back of Toontown to get to the Chip ‘n Dale Treehouse. It is sandwiched in between Mickey’s house (where you get to meet Mickey) and Gadget’s Go Coaster. I guess there would not be very much room here to put something else but I just wish there was something that more of us would be able to participate.
Not that all of us older kids could not experience the treehouse… it is just we might look a little silly doing so.
