I’ve been wanting to come here for so long, but something always came up and I wasn’t able to go until recently! Obviously I wanted to try the Mickey’s Fun Wheel(if not just for the insta) but it was actually pretty good! The bottom is pretty alcohol heavy, so after taking my picture, I mixed it and it was fine. We also ordered lobster nachos, and although they’re pricey, the portion is pretty big. The fixings are all on the top, so make sure you distribute all the cheese and stuff evenly so that when you’re almost done you’re not just eating chips lol. My bf got the piña colada, and it was pretty good. Didn’t taste anything like alcohol though. We were told it’d be abut a ~20 minute wait, and it ended up being like 5 instead!

I feel like the place has been an okay place to come, then again I’ve always been by the bar. This past visit changed the way I view this place and was disappointed and embarrassed to have my boyfriend’s first visit go so bad. This week we were seated further away on the patio. The service was awful! It took a tiny bit to be seated, fine, but I had to approach a worker I was standing right in front of to ask if I gave her our name. She should have approached us since she wasn’t near the booth. It was just awkward. When we were seated it took a long time for our server to come by to take our drink order. He was busy socializing with other tables. We also did not have place settings like the other tables did before they were seated. When our server came by our order was quick and simple, lobster nachos, a water, and a soft drink. About 10 min after we ordered the nachos they appeared, with no drinks. Let me inform you it was really hot out. So we dug into the nachos and my boyfriend finally received his drink halfway through eating, but still no water for me. I literally had to make a comment when he walked by to have him drop off a water he was carrying to another table who ordered after us. Then…we received the check delivered by someone else. Unfortunately, wrong check. From the time the incorrect check was delivered it probably took us 30 minutes just to finish correctly paying. We were also disappointed the soft drink was even on the check since it was delivered so late in our meal. In the middle of the check fiasco they switched servers on us, we were excited to have better service, wrong. :(I think maybe they need better training. I have had server training elsewhere and I can assure you that their order of service made no sense. Luckily, the nachos were awesome and for that reason I will come again… but only will sit at the bar.

Lobster Nachos & Buffalo Hot Wings! Ding Ding… Can’t wait to come back for more. :) Our service was not the greatest but we were so thankful to just sit down and eat lunch that it didn’t matter. We’ll be back on our next visit.

First off — the lobster nachos are amazing and the sliders as well. Their spinach and artichoke dip was tasty too. My fiancé really liked the wings, however I can’t really eat too many spicy things so I’ll take her word for it. When we went in May, it was actually our first time there and I couldn’t ask for better service. The wait wasn’t that long and everything is served pretty quickly. The waiters are also very attentive and friendly. Since they’re well known for their strong drinks, we ordered The Fun Wheel and The Piña CoLava. Definitely not disappointed and it’s something worth going back to.

I’m so sad this place wasn’t better. I had such high expectations for two reasons: It’s Disney and all of these fantastic reviews on Unilocal. As an AP holder, there were a few things I expected going into this place: 1) The wait was going to be long(ours was 60 minutes) and that’s not including the time we waited in line just to put our name down. That was an added 20 minutes. 2) It was going to be overpriced. I was totally fine with both these things and we waited. We finally got our table, the view was awesome(if you’re one of the lucky ones that get seated near the side with the fun wheel), and we were helped out pretty instantly. I ordered the Mickey’s Fun Wheel drink on the ‘secret menu’ and my BF ordered the raspberry mojito and we also ordered the lobster nachos. Something that bothers me is when menus don’t list prices. Call me cheap or whatever but yeah, I’d like to be aware of what I’m being charged before I consume it and their menus don’t have drink prices. Anyways, Our nachos came out before our drinks(within 5 minutes) which is awesome however, I worry when stuff like that comes out so quickly. The nachos were ‘okay’; flavor was definitely there, a little kick, BUT the chips were stale :(as we got towards the bottom, the chips were super soggy. Which makes me believe that this was sitting out for a little bit with the sauce seeping through the bottom chips because they should not have been soggy… Those are about $ 15. They are decently sized for sure however $ 15 for those is just overpriced but again, I expected that but I also expected it to be… good… Now onto the drinks, my BF’s drink was nasty. The flavor was weird and just a bunch of sugar. He barely touched it. My fun wheel drink had so much(vodka?) I’m not even sure because(my fault) I didn’t ask exactly what was in it and ordered it because it was pretty based off of Unilocal. It honestly tasted like half triple sec and about 4 different flavored vodkas. It was pretty nasty and overly sweet. Both drinks had an ish ton of alcohol which I can typically handle however, I really don’t know exactly what they used and it just gave me an instant headache, which makes me think it was cheap stuff.(I could be wrong though). Lastly, our server was nice, no complaints. We were going to leave and before we exited I asked our server if we could get 2 waters to go. He had no problem with getting us some and told us to wait there. We were near the bar, next to where the host would lead you to be seated. One of the hosts asked if we had been helped and I explained that we had already eaten but our server was getting us water. And she quickly told me that she would check on that but that I needed to wait on the outside(like where the line was). And I’m thinking, how are you going to check? You don’t know who our server is, and how many people have probably asked for water and their servers were getting them waters too. I just thought it was so rude how she pushed us out when we were paying customers, not in the way, and our server asked us to stay there. Super disappointed with just about everything here and honestly probably won’t waste my money here again. I’d rather have a clam chowder bowl. Lol.

So sad to lower my review. Yet another ruined gem. This place used to have excellent drinks and an excellent pour with good service. Today we went and ordered a bloody Mary and a long island. The bloody Mary tasted like plain tomato juice with water and maybe a pinch of salt and pepper. No flavor or kick at all. The long island was an incredibly thick layer of sweet and sour topped with a TON of coke and it looked like a syrupy snotty layer of sugar at the bottom. We refused to even try that drink as that is not what a long island is supposed to be. It took us forever to find our waitress to address the problem. We had a food order in but cancelled that and sent back our drinks as there is no way we aren’t interested in spending $$$$ on drinks that aren’t even remotely enjoyable.

I came here Saturday around 4PM. Of course there was a small wait. We were a party of 3 and when the waitress asked if anyone wanted to sit in the sun we jumped on it. 4PM-6PM is when the sun will start to set so unless you came way earlier and want to continue waiting in line then that’s you. We got Justin as a our waiter and we ordered the prim’s punch, a glass of moscato wine, and spinach & artichoke dip. The drinks and food was delicious and it’s a nice view out into the park. The sun isn’t as bad as people think. The day was suppose to be 91 degrees but it felt a lot cooler than that. If you want shade, aim for the other places that serve alcohol unless you don’t mind the wait.

Relative the other places to eat in CA Adventure park, Cove Bar is a nice option to go to. The water, Paradise Pier, visually appealing plates and drinks provide quite the picture for your Instagram and Facebook feed. Be prepared for a little wait, try to come at off times so save yourself a longer wait. Our waitor steered us away from the Fun Wheel. He advised that it was not good so I opted for the Melrose. The Melrose was really good and I would recommend it to anyone who prefers taste over looks. The lobster nachos is what they are known for. So you know ya girl had to try them. They were filling and a pretty good size dish to share between two people. The lobster and toppings were tasty. Out of all the choices in CA Adventure, Cove Bar is ranked pretty high. I would choose eating here over a corn dog and turkey leg. Just saying.

It’s also super sweet. (secret) = secret drinks menu–

Ever been drunk at Disneyland? You could get drunk if you wanted to… And run the risk of being kicked out and blacklisted but hey, at least you’ll have had some awesome drinks at Cove Bar. Just kidding, drink responsibly. But let me tell you more about Cove Bar. Come for the drinks, not the food; the lobster nachos were good until we ate all the lobster, then it became a whole lot of cheese and beans on chips. I appreciate the quality of the food but the drinks are what defines Cove Bar. They’re beautifully and colorfully made and taste so good that you forget you’re even drinking alcohol. Get the funwheel for sure, all else is fair game. DON’T be like me and panic order The Zombie cause that was strong. The wait can be line and they stop seating around 7:30. You want to get in line to put your name on the list since you have to wait an additional hour before being seated but hey, you’re at California Adventure, go have some fun in the meantime.

I’m still on the fence about whether this place is worth going to or not… if you haven’t been to the Cove Bar before, I definitely recommend going once to try out the famous cocktails. But if you’ve been here before, you’ll know the wait times gets pretty crazy. Personally I’m not very impressed with the food here… everything is just covered in cheese and they call it a day. I would recommend getting the BBQ Chicken Flatbread and the Lobster Nachos, the other dishes are whatevs. For drinks, I highly recommend Mickey’s Fun Wheel and the Raspberry Pina Colada. Mickey’s Fun Wheel is the signature drink of Cove Bar and it’s probably what drew you here in the first place – it’s that colorful, gradient-drink that’s super pretty. But don’t’ be fooled by its beauty, this drink is hella strong! I definitely felt a buzz afterwards. The Raspberry Pina Colada is another gorgeous drink and it’s very tasty as well. The other cocktails we tried I don’t really care for… they’re all really really strong :\ I’ve only been here during the daytime, but I can only imagine how absolutely stunning the view would be during the nighttime.

Have you ever wanted to beat that one person at Midway Mania? Bring them here and you might see victory. They have a fairly extensive menu of specialty cocktails, and also a secret menu. I got the Funwheel(and fun fact, the two lemon slices thing they do to make it look like Mickey is a hoax! Disney characters can’t be associated with vices), and my companion(sadly but hilariously) panic-ordered the Zombie. Both were delicious, but I liked mine more. Be careful though, because they both taste like punch. Food is meh. I tried the lobster nachos, per a close friend’s recommendation, and it was great for the first 5 minutes, until the lobster ran out. After that point, it was just a bunch of coagulated cheese and corn chips, sparsely layered with black beans and pico, which is a little underwhelming given that it costs $ 16. Line to sign up for a table around 5pm was ~15 min. They take your number and text you when your table is ready, so you still have time to roam the park, and their estimate of a 1 hour wait was spot on. There’s also no such thing as a bad view here, as you get to overlook Paradise Pier :)

BESTFOODEVER! I went here on my birthday and stood in line about an hour and a half before closing. Since our party was only two people and we did not mind sitting at the bar, out wait was only five minutes. It was busy but our server was very attentive and explained the menu to us since it was or first time. The waiter who brought us our food was also very nice and made sure we were aware out plates were hot. For drinks, we both had the Piña CoLAVA. This was the perfect drink! It’s purred raspberries so it’s icy and fruity. You can taste the alcohol only a little bit which was what I wanted. Also it’s topped with raspberries on a skewer. I had the Lobster Nachos and it was so delicious! It has cheese, black beans, and tortilla chips. It’s not the best lobster nachos or lobster related item I’ve ever had but it’s second best for sure. Its a huge plate so honestly you can probably share this if you’re not starving. It’s worth it to get this item for $ 16. The person I was with had the Fajita Quesadilla Rolls. I gotta say I kind of liked this better than the Lobster Nachos. Based on taste alone, I think it’s more flavorful than the Lobster Nachos. It contains chicken, onions, cheese, creama, and avocado. It’s definitely worth it to get this for $ 11. You can’t go to CA Adventure with our stopping by the cove bar!

A must to lunch place for a great mid day snack and drink!!! Sit at the pier over looking the water on a nice day. No better way to enjoy some down time off of the feet from walking! Don’t be fooled by the wait times if you have the Disneyland app. Go, check in, give them your cell number and they will text you when your table is ready. You don’t have to wait in that long line. Lobster Nachos: A nice pile of chips high, with lumps of lobster, black beans, jalapenos, pico, and a cheese sauce. Can very easily share or if you are hungry, go for it. Chicken Wings: A great amount of meat on the bones. Better that Buffalo Wild Wings or Hooters wings. Great flavor as well. There aren’t very many food items to choose from, but that is good. Limits the options and makes it quicker for the kitchen! If you are not a beer person, like me, order a Black Pearl. One of the best drinks around and I don’t think you can find it anywhere else, but here! Always my go to lunch spot for a bite to eat.

If you wanna get hammered and fast, head over to the Cove Bar. The secret menu drinks are where it’s at. The best one by FAR is the Fun Wheel. It tastes non-alcoholic, but boy, does it pack a punch. It’s basically pure booze, but tastes like a smoothie. I’m way into it. The other drinks, not so much. They’re clearly alcoholic or they taste like cough syrup, but I mean, if that’s your thing, go for it. It’s just really not mine. Can’t really sing the praises of the food, however. The«lobster» nachos are really just chips with a light sprinkling of lobster meat on top, but they do look beautiful. The pizza is not pizza. It is glorified cheese bread. The spinach-artichoke dip was really tasty, but the portion left something to be desired. It was so small! More than half the plate was filled with chips!

This is the perfect place to catch an alcoholic drink and snack on some munchies. But FYI, the line can get long… especially before sunset(AMAZINGVIEW). The LAST seating time is at 6:45PM. So make sure you get there at least an hour before in order to be safe since they don’t guarantee you that you will be able to get seated. We got seated around 6:30 and our great server Peter(who looks like Daniel Craig from 007) quickly let us know that their last call is at 6:45 for food/drinks. If you want a STRONG drink get the Zombie cocktail. It is their strongest drink on their menu and it has Bacardi 151 in it. Don’t be scared and just try it. It’s pretty good and it’s not as bad as you think. For food we got the Lobster Nachos and Buffalo Wings. The nachos were great snacks and the portions are large! The lobster pieces tasted fresh and it was just a relaxing bar food to enjoy while getting drunk haha Buffalo wings were good. Hard to go wrong with buffalo wings but their wings were bigger than your average Wingstop/BWW. Before we left we topped it off with classical Jameson shots and he poured it to the RIM! Daniel Craig, I mean. Peter was a great server and I will be coming again forsure when I need to get my drink on at California Adventures.

Sooo ever since I got a Disneyland pass, I’ve been on the hunt for the bomb ass food! And I kept hearing about these Lobster Nachos. But every time my friends and I have made a trip, we get discouraged because the line is always so long and doesn’t look like it moves too fast. So finally we decided to give it a go and wait in line. And to our delight the line is now to make reservation and they’ll text you when your table/seat is ready. But don’t go off in the tower of terror line. Because once you get that text message that your table is ready, you have 10 minutes to get there before they give your table to someone else. So w\hen we got that text message. We all booked it like hell to the Cove Bar! And we made it with 2 minutes to spare! yeahhh! So we got sat at the bar and Marty and later on Angie really took care of us. First Round: Pimms Punch Second Round: Fun Wheel Third Round: Neveland Tea Forth Round: Sea Witch Number Five: Michelada Number Six: Some drink that Angie made us… Yes people. you counted right… 6 drinks deep at the Cove Bar. Lobster Nachos were bomb! The Fajitas Quesedilla Rolls were bomb! Service: Really friendly. Sitting at the bar is the way to go! Marty and Angie rockk!!! Price: its Disneyland… When is anything not expensive? Will I be back? Hell yeahhh! With Mad T Party no longer around, need a new place to chill when I’m at the parks! See you soon Disneyland!

Alcoholic drinks inside California Adventures. What more could you want? [WAITTIME] If you’re coming on a weekend(Friday-Sunday), expect to wait about 30 or more minutes. If you’re coming on a weekday, the longest I’ve waited to be seated was about 25 minutes. I’m not sure if the wait time is shorter now because they extended restaurant, which means there’s a bigger seating area! [ALCOHOLICDRINKS] Yes, the alcoholic drinks are strong! If you don’t like what you see on the menu, look up the secret menu on Google, there are blog posts that tell you about all of the secret menu items. My favorite drinks(thus far) would be the Pina Colava, Melrose, and the Black Pearl. [FOOD] I’m pretty sure there are a couple of seasonal menu items for food because there were new menu items the last time I was there. — The must-try is definitely the lobster nachos– they aren’t cheap with the lobster, and the portion is big enough to share. — I ordered the fajita quesadilla rolls that they had a couple of months back, and they were really good, really soft, and came with incredible sauce! — The tri tip sliders would be a 3.5÷5 for me. The overall price for the food is incredible overpriced, but then again so is everything else at these theme parks. [SERVICE] The service has been a hit or miss for every time I’ve attended, but for the most part has been great. There have been times where the waiter didn’t come around unless it was to take our order and to give us our check, but other times the service was kind and the bartenders were fast! [TIPS] This place doesn’t take reservations, but I recommend trying to get seated about half an hour before closing because once the restaurant closes, they let you stay seated after hours so you can watch World of Color! Only con is that you’ll be watching World of Color from a slight angle.

ALCOHOL! They serve ALCOHOL! I have been to this place numerous times on my visits to DL/CA. The first few times I visited this location, the wait to get a seat at a table was 30 — 45 minutes. I just wanted some alcohol. They have a line just to go to the bar to grab a drink. They only allow 2 people at a time and you must grab your drink, pay and leave. They also only allow sangrias or beer to leave the bar. So, be aware, you can not order a Mickeys Fun Wheel to go! Speaking of Mickeys Fun Wheel ! Order it! you will not be disappointed. The one time I decided to get a table, I only did so to taste their signature drinks. I ate some nachos and appetizers but the Fun Wheel was good. The view is amazing. The water, roller coaster and Mickeys Fun Wheel As I end this review, I only now realize that I sound like an alcoholic. LOL. Oh well.

So I can officially say that I’ve been to the Cove Bar. It was a wonderful experience, but I had too much to drink and ended up leaving the park early. So consider yourselves warned, hydrate!!! Especially when it’s hot out… or you will be like me sick as a girl on her 21st bday at the parks… luckily, my boyfriend took amazing care of me and got me home safely… but that does in no way reflect on the Cove bar… but more on my inability to time my drinks better and hydrate myself :) There was a line so we decided to grab a beer and enjoy it as a pre drink before we had lunch at the Cove Bar with some of their secret menu drinks. We were able to get a spot at the counter which was cool because you could see all the magic happen. The wait was ot super long, and I think their recent expansion helped. I had heard about the nachos, but my boyfriend is not a fan of lobster so we had them substitute steak on the nachos and get the lobster on the side! It was really good! As for the drinks we ordered a mickeys fun wheel and a neverland tea. Both were fruity and strong. the neverland tea was a spin off of a long island. The staff was friendly and continually checked in giving us water and asking if we needed anything. After a couple of drinks and a beer to go, we decided to get the check. There is an annual pass discount on the food, which is always a plus and I had an amazing time there. I wish my pass was not expiring, so I could come back soon… but I’m sure I’ll be back eventually.
