Overpriced for what it is. I ordered chicken tikka masala, half order of white rice, and garlic naan to go. The total was about $ 20. They charged $ 13 or $ 14 for the«large» portion which I’d say is a moderate amount. The small portion was enough for 3 – 4 bites if my husband was eating it and I’m sure the small order costs around $ 7 or $ 8. When spending that amount of money on a main dish you’d expect to at least get a piece or naan or a bit of rice with it right? No, they charge extra for everything. I’m surprised they didn’t charge me for the air I was breathing while waiting for my food! Ha-Ha…but seriously… I’ve been to sit down Indian restaurants that serve you at your table that do not charge an arm and a leg for everything. AND they give you a bunch of rice with your meal for free and very generous amounts of naan. So a dinner for two at this place would cost you over $ 40. Not worth it. I think there are certain times of the day they offer specials that include sides, but still pricey. Find out when they have specials and go at that time instead. Plus the chicken in my masala wasn’t tender. It had a tough, rubbery texture. At least the girl working there was really nice.

First time at this place, and I got to say the food is really, really good. The price is not right judging based on the quality and taste of the food but… I hope they don’t increase the prices cause the prices are really affordable. I definitely recommend this place, the person behind the counter is really nice and helpful!

Second time coming here to take food to-go and the cashier was SO nice and helpful! She knew every single ingredient that was in each entrée and was generous with allowing us to try samples :) price is good and food was even better!

Just picked up some food«to go.» We paid $ 20 for 2 – 2 item combos. The place was 40 mins from closing, only one couple dining in. The food tasted fine. You can tell that it has been sitting out for a while, but that’s to be expected from a place like this. The garlic naan was made to order. It was good as well(only 2 pieces per combo plate). However, I was really shocked at the amount of food she put in the plates. The portions of rice and entrée was SO little. I got double tikka masala for one combo and there is literally only 8, tiny, chopped up bits of chicken. Very disappointed. We probably won’t be coming back.

I delivered some food from this restaurant during my short lived career as a door dasher. They were extremely friendly to me even though I wasn’t there to spend money, which was very appreciated. It smelled exceptional and I vowed to return and try it. When I did return a few days later, I again received exceptional service and the food was incredibly fresh, delicious and satisfying. I will be back many many times.

Great food, service, and price. 6.99 for bowl. 8.99 for 2 item. 9.99 for 3 item. Extra .50 for garlic on the naan. Foods aren’t spicy at all, but they offer spices on side.

nope. nuff said. Indian food should never be served buffet style. The food had been sitting so long it had congealed. Really bland, almost watered down. The garlic naan was so heavy on the garlic that my car still reeks some hours later yet was soggy and flavorless. How does that even happen?! I have to make my way to Fresh Kebabs now to wash this taste out of my mouth.

Came here for a dinner with a friend and glad we did! We opted for the dinner buffet tried almost everything on the line. Everything was very good but the eggplant and potato dish was amazing. It seems simple… eggplant… potatoes… spices. but the result is amazing. I’m not a big eggplant fan either. I’ve had eggplant before in different cuisines, but it was okay. But now, for the first time in my life, I’m craving eggplant. The other items are good and couldn’t help but get a second serving of everything. Yep, I ate like it was going out of style and loved it! And the staff was very cool and helpful. Thanks Curry Out, I’ll be back! P. S. And people saying this is fast food… c’mon, can you compare processed food, cooked in minutes to this?

I feel bad for leaving two stars because the staff was so nice but their food is below average. I had a really big craving for some good Tikka Marsala and decided to give this place a try, unfortunately it made the craving even worse. The Marsala was bland and had no taste to it… It basically tasted like boiled chicken. The best part of my two item meal was the naan and salad. On another note — their lunch pricing makes no sense. A two item combo is 8.99 but the buffet is 9.99. You would would think since the two item combo is not ayce they would fill up the box with a lot of food considering the buffet is only a dollar more! Overall, the Indian food place inside Wholesome Choice market across the street offers better food, price(7.99) and portions. The people that left 5 stars must be friends… Where r the Unilocal police when you need them?

We have been all over the world and this is LITERALLY the best tikka masala ever! Auntie makes you feel at home as does Nikki– every time, we feel like family. The whole staff is great! Try it, you will be happy you did! Atmosphere is nice, casual, approachable.

Unilocal challenge 2015. 182⁄365 Finally fast food done right. Done the way it should be. Located in Anaheim Hills in the Promenade, tucked into a corner. Lead here by a few trusted Unilocalers, in fact if you were not looking for this place, you would probally never find it. Offering a decent AYCE lunch and dinner buffet with lots of choices. The selection changes daily. Here today, gone tomorrow. If your not into self serve, they offer a full menu. Tandori chicken in the buffet is made to order. So it’s not sitting all day. Its hot and fresh right out of the oven. Garlic naan is loaded with garlic. Vampires beware. Chicken tikka masala was also a winner for the hubsters who Unilocal but doesn’t Unilocal. The chicken tikka off the menu is $ 13.99. Served with sautéed onions. This is my go to dish at all Indian restaurants. It did not disappoint. It was a little dry, but still good. All in all the food here is definitely 4 stars. There is something for everyone, vegetarian lover or meat lover. What I like is the semi open kitchen. You can kind of see them prepare your food. Everyone, and I mean everyone here is super friendly. They make you feel so welcome. Such a big plus. Clean bathrooms. I know this is important, especially after filling up at the buffet. Service 10 zillion stars Store front parking 5 stars Value 5 stars Selection 5 stars Food 4 stars Rounding up to 5. I am a fan. #669

I’m backed up writing reviews for new places I’ve tried but this place deserved immediate attention. My wife and kids get their haircut next door and I’ve been meaning to try this place but because of my daughters dietary restrictions and the rest of my families lack of adventurousness, when it comes to food, I’ve not made it in until now. I’m here on a Saturday afternoon and I can’t believe no ones in here. This lunch buffet is unbelievable for the price. For $ 10(dinner $ 14& child $ 7) you get an all you can eat buffet, a large basket of garlic naan, and champagne! Omg, bring your hungry friends or your date for this very tasty Indian cuisine. I think the dishes today really compliment each other; some spicy some not, some bland but good and some very powerful to the taste buds. 18 different items at the buffet in all. Staff are very friendly and accommodating. I asked for papadum and they brought out a large basket for me, I asked for chutney and they brought out a nice cold serving of it and the tamarind sauce with the sweet and sour taste, both very common in Indian restaurants I’ve been to. There is a limited time buffet dish served only upon request of chaat papadee — see my picture — I think this is to celebrate their 3rd anniversary since opening. FYI, you can sub the champagne for hot chai tea or soda. Don’t miss the small things, some of the most interesting items at his place might be easily overlooked. The deep fried zucchini had a hint of curry and was so good dipped in yogurt cucumber sauce. There were very thin deep fried onions that were crisp and had that awesome carmelized flavor to them, also great in the yogurt dip. I’ve said enough, back to my chicken tikka masala and creamed spinach, two of my favorites, both in the buffet and the chicken in the tikka masala is so tender and all breast meat. Yummmmmmmyyyyyyyy. Third plate, noooooo, maybeeeee, yessssssss. Oh geeeeez.

The food at this place is exactly as its name implies. Need I say more? I came here because I was craving Indian food. The place was empty on a weekday. It was mid-afternoon so you would assume that service would be quick and my take-out order would be quick. Nope! No one was working the register. I called back a couple of times so that the people in the kitchen would notice that there is a customer in the front. It took them a good 5 minutes before I was acknowledged. I really wanted my Indian food so I had the patience to stay. This place was like fast food take-out. I chose my choice of meat curry, ordered my sides and was out of there. I ordered the chicken curry(you really can’t go wrong with a signature dish) but they sure somehow managed to mess it up. It tasted odd. Not sure if it went bad or if the ingredients they used were old, but it tasted weird. I gave them the benefit of the doubt and ate half of my order and stored the other half in the fridge. When my boyfriend came home, he knew I had eaten Indian food from the pungent odor that hit him in the face when he opened the door to the fridge. It was strong! I didn’t end up eating the rest of my order because it had given me a tummyache and it all curried out… :(

Another true case of I wanted to like you, but I can’t. Upon entry we clearly noted that this was our first time at the establishment and needed recommendations. A friendly worker suggested the dinner buffet so that we could get a nice range of flavors and be able to explore different options without having to fully commit to one dish. We thought that was a great idea and proceeded to do so. Of course we ordered naan seeing as no Indian dish is truly complete with out it. The food was tasty, but here comes the hold up… when we asked for a to go container to take our remaining food with us we were told NO. That the buffet option was dine in only. I quickly explained that I didn’t want to go back to the buffet and get more, I simply wanted to take what was left on my plate home with me. Again, I was told no. Now, If I was told that I would not be able to take my left overs home with me then I might of not chosen to go along with the buffet option and possibly gone with another. Seeing as I was not, I can’t help but feel slightly cheated and lightly bamboozled.

Update and Upgrade 2 Years Later! I first came here over two years ago and was not a fan. The last few times I’ve come the food has been so good and hot! My favorites: 1. Paneer; 2. Chicken Korma; 3. Goat Curry; and 4. Tiki Masala. Garlic Naan is hot and tasty. Dinner Buffet is 13.99. Lunch is a tad cheaper. Kids run about 7 bucks. I am a fan!

It’s all about options, options, options and Curry Out gives you plenty of them! For dining, you have your choice of ordering off of a menu, buffet style in which you can eat to your heart’s content or just do a combination plate with the pickings of your choice. We each went with a three item combo plate and chose the the chicken tikka masala, curry chicken and the vegetable pakoras. Your meal comes with your choice of naan bread and we went with the garlic flavor. Nothing potent breath after a meal to remind you of how amazing it was after the fact. The chicken dishes were good and they are a little more on the saucy side. Pair it with the basmati rice and it’ll get you full without a problem. They give you some spices to adjust the heat in case you want to go hotter than what they have since pretty much everything is cooked to mild on the buffet line. If you want something hotter, you can ask for the desired temp if you order off the menu. They were really good about explaining that just in case we wanted intense heat. The staff is super friendly and were there to lend suggestions and offer samples of things on display. If you’re a first-timer to Indian cusine, I’d recommend this spot so you get an opportunity to sample a few of the dishes before committing to something. Next time we’re in the area for a movie, we’ll have to make another stop to try more dishes and maybe take on their buffet option!

So I was skeptical about Indian Food. I was never open minded to try it, yet I hear so many amazing things about it. Curry out is very close to my house and I’ve been seeing an increasing number of positive and high rated reviews. After plenty of review researching, I decided to give it a try. Came during dinner time and the super nice young lady helped me through the process. She was an Indian food expert and extremely sweet and helpful. Decided on the dinner buffet for $ 10. I tried everything offered. The chicken dishes were tender and I loved the flavor of all the various sauces. Chicken korma was my favorite. I did not care much about the rice, but the fresh garlic naan was an incredible alternative. I could see myself eat and dip it in the dishes on a regular basis. Tandoori is not part of the buffet which I was sad about cause People talk about that dish very often. I may need to just order it off the menu sometime. Needless to say, The food was great and I’m glad I tried it. Is it my favorite? Within my top 5 of cuisines? No. It’s just not for me, I have other preferences. So why the high rating? It was a great first experience in Indian cuisine. The young lady was so nice! And the woman that owns and cooks the food? She is a wonderful woman. She came around each table asking them how they were and how the food was. When she came to ours, she was genuinely curious as to what our thoughts were. Talk about amazing customer service here. I liked that small gesture she did because I spoke to her for approximately 5 minutes and it was absolutely wonderful. I know they will do great here and I am happy to have an addition such as this one in this neighborhood for those of us that live in this area and are deprived of good and diverse food.

Finally gave this place another chance! Glad I did. We called in an order for pick up — I ordered five items on the menu. The girl on the phone did inform me this would be a lot of food, but we like leftovers, so it was fine. I ordered Aloo Baingan, Lamb Vindaloo, Chicken Bhuna, Paneer Tikka Masala, and Chicken Biryani with Basmati Rice. All of it was great, except I wasn’t really fond of the paneer — the sauce was delicious though. There was a lot of food, we will definitely have dinner again tomorrow, and maybe i’ll even take some for lunch tomorrow. My one gripe though, was there are no prices on their online menu. BF was quite shocked when he arrived to pick up the food and it was almost $ 80! At least we will be getting multiple meals out of it.
