Anyone who has not been to the Cypress Bistro is missing out. I had the most amazing meal. The students are polished and professional and the food is superb.

This is a really special place to eat. Because people who papered are students and they are oppenong only Thursdays when they make what they learned. It is nice food, a little bit noise and nice people. The don’t accept credit or debit card. But every week they change the menu.

Cypress Bistro is a gem. The students prepare excellent meals, provide outstanding service and are instructed by the best culinary team in the community college system. The themed meals offer guests the opportunity to experience cuisines from across the country and regions of the world. The choices are thoughtful and provide a treat for the palette and the eye. Our journey today was centered on New England. We enjoyed an exquisite clam chowder, Yankee pot roast and spiced cake dessert. I would would expect this meal to run over $ 20 in a local restaurant. It is a steal at the $ 11 price. I strongly encourage you to seek out an upcoming event and book a seat.

Café Cypress & Bistro is a student restaurant operated by the community college students in the culinary and restaurant management programs at Cypress College. I have eaten here several times and it is always incredible, $ 11 for a 3 – 5 course gourmet meal prepared by students under the direction of instructor Chef Jeremy Peters who used to work as an Executive Chef for Disneyland Resort. The menu varies from week to week and features an international faire. The service here is among the best I have experienced at any restaurant and even puts Disneyland’s $ 150/plate Club 33 to shame. Servers perform under the supervision of Lisa Clark, formerly of King’s Fishhouse. Lisa and Chef Jeremy are ever present in the dining room to ensure everything is perfect and talk with guests at every table on every visit. Be sure to check when they are open, being student run it has very limited hours. I know it is open on Thursdays from 12 – 1 for lunch. NOTE: Being on a college campus, be sure to use the day parking thingies or park across the street. It would really suck to get a $ 50 ticket with your lunch.
