Came here last night for the first time since I live walking distance and I must say I was super impressed! I got the pizza one and it was amazing! Super cute little shop and it was quiet. The lady working was super friendly too :) I definitely recommend this place!

Been Coming here since I was a little kid! Used to get the pizza sub, but now I’m all about the garlic Italian cheesy bread! Awesome food and great prices… Without a doubt 5 stars!

D W’s is the Esperanza sandwich supplier. For years, it’s thrived on the high school appetites and proximity. It’s a great spot for a really solid sandwich. First thing you notice when you walk in is the smell. It’s just smells like a hole in wall authentic sandwich place. Terry is a great woman and can make a sandwich like few others. I like cold subs so I recommend the Italian sub. I have friends that love the BBQ so maybe that one too. I heard Terry is selling the place which is a bummer because I’m not sure I’ll trust whoever the next person is to be making my sub. Hope the best for her! D W’s is a winner! Keep the legacy alive!

Best salad and sandwiches I’ll had. There Italian dressing is the best. A hidden gem that sits in a corner. If in the area you must try.

This place is still killing it with the same Turkey Club they had back in 1999. Love the bacon and the place hasn’t changed a bit.

Turkey avocado bacon sub. Trust me, you won’t be disappointed. My friend was incredibly insistent to take me here. He got me pretty excited and when we arrived, he told me I had to order the turkey sub. I protested. Heck no am I going to order a healthy sub when I was waiting all week for this moment. He wouldn’t let me have it any other way. We found a middle ground and decided to order two different subs to get the best of both worlds. I ordered the pizza sub. He ordered the turkey. Pizza sub, not bad. Tasty and best of all, cheap. But, the underdog… the usually over-looked turkey sub was by far, the most magnificent turkey sub I have ever had. I tried to reason how it could be so tasty. Maybe it was because I was extremely hungry that day so anything tasted good. Maybe my friend had tried to tone down the beauty of this sub so I wouldn’t be disappointed. Maybe it was the extra cheese that my friend ordered to be melted in the sub(you must order this with the melted cheese, trust me). No, it was magical in all the right ways. You know how sandwiches/subs get soggy over a couple of hours? If you leave it to sit in a fridge overnight, it’s just a crime, right? This turkey bacon avocado melted cheese masterpiece was just as mouth-watering the next day, no joke. For all you avid sub/sandwich eaters out there, you know this means you’ve hit the jackpot.

This place is a great hole in the wall that has been around for 35 years. As a high school student in 2003, I would swing by after school and grab slushy but never tried out their sandwiches until last year. Their sandwiches are the best you can buy in the city and only are rivaled by Stefano’s down the street. If you are looking for a good and fresh sandwich this is the place to come. The bread is soft and the Italian dressing is amazing. I usually get the Large Turkey Club. The large sandwiches are definitely big enough to get two adults full. Most sandwiches are 7.99 for a large.

Visited this place for the first time last week and was amazed it has been here all this time. I have lived in Yorba Linda for over 16 years and never noticed this amazing sandwich shop tucked away in the corner next to stater brothers. The line was really long when we first got there but it was worth the wait. I ordered the turkey club and the combination of bacon, turkey, avocado and Italian dressing was perfect. The bread was very soft and was better than your average subway or togo’s. I will definitely be returning back to this place to order off there extensive menu.

Hands down some of the best tasting subs I’ve ever had! Malibu chicken changed my life! Pizza sub is one of their most famous and delicious, and don’t forget to try the turkey club soooooo amazing. And a lime slushy I’ve been coming to DWs since I was 13 years old, I am now 30 and still eat here frequently. This is a quaint hope in the wall mom and pop shop with exquisite subs. I will continue to come here as long as they are open.

My hubby had been talking about coming here to try their subs for awhile and we finally decided to check it out. They are located in the Stater Bros shopping plaza next to the pet salon and liquor store. Upon entering, we were greeted immediately and after several minutes we finally decided what to order. I ordered the chicken club, hubs got the meatball and my sister got the Italian with cheese. Don’t know if it was because we were hungry but those 12 inch sub sandwiches were Devoured within minutes! The bread is fresh and warm and the meat was very flavorful. With Great flavor and decent prices, I would definitely go back to try their other subs!

Popped in for a quick bite… DWS is located next to the States Bros, blink and you’ll miss it. Large turkey sub, large drink, and a bag of chips for $ 11.37 They also have all types of syrups… it’s like the manual version of those fancy coke dispensers machines at the movies… The sub was delish, it’s like mom would make(if my mom cooked). I’ll definitely be coming back. Quick, friendly service and homey feeling

have to be honest. i’d give this place 4 stars, and 1 star for nostalgia. subs are always good, just the bread is ok and generic(chewy, no flavor), definitely brings down the sub’s taste, but otherwise, all the ingredients in the sub(esp the italian dressing addition) is tasty. it’s especially good for the price. their 6 inch feels bigger than that and their large is definitely large. =P my sister and i split a 6 inch and were satisfied! and the frozen slushies! so delicious! sour apple is definitely mouth puckering sour! they’ve now upgraded to boba straws hehe. this place is very old school with only 4 «booth-like» tables seating 4 to 6 people. most people take their sub to go. oh and i overheard their chicken salad is not like a usual chicken salad so if you want that, be sure to ask what makes it special(and the lady did make sure that the customers knew that when they ordered it). service is always good, fast, and friendly. the lady that served me 10 years ago still made me my sub that day =) definitely family owned treasure with lots of memory. i will be back =D

Wanting to find an alternative for Subway that I eat too often, I Unilocaled my neighborhood and found this place, good ratings, had to try it. Don’t get me wrong, Subway with $ 5 specials are always good. As much as I don’t go for franchised stores. It’s good deal!! Always! Anyway, went in on my day off for lunch. Greeted by two ladies working. She recommended turkey club sub, and I went for it. Also got a Bomber, because it looked good by fellow Unilocalers’ postings. The subs were huge, my parents shared with me 2 subs among 3 of us. The turkey Club was great, Mom said that she really liked it. Dad never says anything, but he finished everything gave him, to me that means he liked it also. Great, I found a another shop that I can go back again for good food. The 2 subs were enough for the 3 of us, in fact, I had left overs that I ate later. I found it tasted even better after I put the sub in toaster oven and kinda heat it up just a little! Yes, I can recommend this Mom and Pop store!

DWs is owned and operated by Esperanza, a really nice woman whose efforts are evident in the quality of her subs. DWs is not immediately noticeable. It’s located in the plaza next to a liquor store and Stater Bros and isn’t somewhere you would generally come across when looking for food. Once you do try it though, you’ll be hooked like all of my coworkers are. My favorites to order are the meatball sub and the antipasta salad. The half order sub is filling and the meatballs are tasty. The antipasta salad comes with different types of meats and cheeses and makes you feel like you’re having an amazing sub without the bread calories. If you’re looking for a tasty sandwich for a really good price, try DWs. They also serve ice cream, malts and shakes to pair with your sub.

This place gets 5 stars automatically because it reminds me of home. I’ve been eating here since it was The Ice Cream Shoppe back in mid 70’s. Okay so I’m biased but it’s got a line out the door and all my old friends from the neighborhood always go back to visit. So they’re doing something right. I always get the Dagwood sub. Back in like 1981 my friend Shannon wanted me to split a BBQ beef sandwich. It was probably good but I’m a Dagwood guy and I ain’t splitting no more subs from here. Maybe I just like saying«Dagwood». When I’m back in the old neighborhood. I’ll be back. Yum
