$ 15 bucks cover charge for this place is wayyy too much. The cumbia bands are not so good, and drinks are not so good too. They only play cumbias here, it would be nice if they played other latin music. The ladies bathroom has no doors or curtains, so i walked in and a lady was sitting on the throne. You would think they would at least have some doors for privacy, geesh. Its like going to a third world nightclub.

This place totally SUCKS! This place is under new ownership again. This guy is the worst. The owner(who keeps telling me he is «just an employee», has been giving my friend all her drinks for free every time I go with her. Well, tonight, I had had enough and refused to pay for my $ 5 bottle of water & told the owner(who tells me is «just an employee») «No, I am not paying, because my friend NEVER pays.» Long story short, he «shook» my friend down for the $ 5 before we left. This place will not last very much longer if this is how he conducts his business. Oh, and the dress code has gone down too. Tonight I saw tennis shoes & baseball caps. This is in a place that has the nerve to charge $ 5 for a bottle of grocery brand water. Really? OHHHHH — and folks, take care with your drinks. All night I saw the bar tender(who is really the owner, who keeps telling me his is «just an employee», using the glasses he was serving the drinks in to SCOOPUPTHEICE. I do not believe his is charging extra for the glass shards in you drinks.

I’VEHADIT. I’ve put up with El Conejo’s imperfections and shoddy ownership for years, because of the fact that the food is amazing. Seriously, it’s the best Mexican food I’ve had and probably will ever have in my life. And I’ve had it for about 15 years. I grew up with El Conejo right outside my neighborhood, and now that I live in Northern California, I still come back here whenever I’m in the area. But no more! You hear that, you clowns? NOMORE. El Conejo has become the equivalent of a long-time girlfriend who you just become too comfortable with. You cherish the amazing times she’s given you, but she’s also slept with your best friend and given you crabs. But you just keep telling yourself that she’s a diamond in the rough and she’s just sewing her oats and eventually she’ll grow up and be a wonderful woman. Inevitably, that line of thinking will just lead to discomfort when you urinate. El Conejo has become that girlfriend. The final straw was today, as I wanted to go there for dinner before heading back up to NorCal tomorrow morning. Showed up at 6:30, and they were closed. Closed. On a Sunday evening… at 6:30. What??? You’re located(literally) right outside a neighborhood, directly next to a Target superstore, and near a busy street corner, and you CLOSEAT6:30ON A FREAKIN’ SUNDAY??? How many restaurants do that? Would«none» be an appropriate answer? That’s it. I’m tired of making excuses for why multiple owners haven’t been able to get this restaurant full of patrons. I’m tired of putting up with its imperfections because of nostalgia. You remember when you had that little«roach problem» a few years back? Yeah, I put my neck on the line for you and vouched for your cleanliness. I refused to stop patronizing you. My wife(to this day) reminds me of your spotty health record — and I defend you! I LOOKLIKE A FOOLNOW! YOUMADEME A FOOLINFRONTOFMYWIFE! To the new ownership of El Conejo Feliz: you’re morons. Seriously. You are full-fledged corncobs who couldn’t market a water fountain in Africa. If you’re unable to fill up a restaurant(that serves good food) in such a great location, and you think it’s wise to shut the thing down during busy hours, then you shouldn’t be in the business. Quit. You’re on a one-way road to Chapter 11. And feel free to contact me if you disagree — I can list 40 more reasons why you suck at what you’re doing. Trust me, I’ve seen it for 15 years now. I’ve been your most loyal of customers. And guess what? You ruined it. You’re dead to me. I’m going to Mexi Casa now. Not because they’re good — but because I loathe you, El Conejo. You’ve hurt me for the final time. And now… I’m going to sleep with somebody else.

Save your money for a different club! This club has changed so much after changing ownerships. This club was the bomb with prior ownership in the mid 90’s. The DJ’s they have now are not worth my time. The live in house is band is ok but I would rather go to El Calor night club as a last resort. Sorry Conejo Feliz you cannot beat the 90s!!!

I like it «okay.» The vibe is pretty chill. The crowd friendly. The live music is pretty good, BUT …the cover charges are outrageous. 15 bucks on a Thursday night because a band is coming in from D.F. Well, that band didn’t show up until 12:30pm. Sort of not worth it. Also, once they fleece you at the front door, they have the nerve to charge 5 bucks for water. Trust me, after all that dancing, you need the water. Here’s the thing that really got the star count to come down: they won’t give you more than one drink of tap water. Yep. They are forcing you to buy 5 dollar water. I think that’s pretty lame. It may even be illegal. In a hot club like that, with everyone dancing to the point of sweat cleavage, they really shouldn’t refuse to give someone water. Also, I have only gone twice and the crowds have been sparse. I think the high prices are keeping folks away. Lesson to be learned?

i went on a sunday and friday night. sunday was merengue and friday was more cumbia. i love this club, it is absolutely a great environment full of culture. this club has a live band and is not a typical club with a dj. its a 21 plus club. shorts are not allowed. i would recommend if you are into salsa dancing. very authentic!
