Best BBQ I’ve had in California. I recommend the Tri-​tip sandwich with a hot link and a Coke. Although you will not be disappointed with any selection.

Javier catered a private party that I attended and right when I drove up I knew it was going to be good. He had a decent sized smoker attached to his car right outside the community center. It was big enough to make an impression but not overly large where it took too much space.
The food was served right on time and he even gave an explanation of all the meats. We began chowing down and it was really unlike any other type of BBQ I’ve ever had, in a GOOD WAY! I actually came up to him and chatted for almost 20 minutes about where he got his inspiration and also his cooking methods. I believe he took 4 months off work to travel around the BBQ capitals of America to learn their secrets and eat the best. This R&D shows clearly in his cooking. In addition to that, he always surveys his guests to see what can be improved upon. That’s dedication!!!
We are definitely hiring him for our next event! Thanks for the great food Javier!

Javier’s food and catering is wonderful! I highly recommend him for all of your events and parties. We tried his food at our friend’s party and were impressed by his food and amazing BBQ sauces. Everything incredibly delicious and our friends had nothing but wonderful things to say about him and the food. Best decision ever!

Excellent service and food! We hired Javier for our company holiday event. We couldn’t be happier. He came to our location, set up, cook and serve all our guests. The food was so tasty especially the pulled pork. Javier gave us some extra items which was real nice.
So many of our guests complimented on the food so it made me look extremely good. The pricing was very fair and I recommend Javier to anyone who wants great bbq at their events.

Jav’s BBQ does it again. Had wifey pick up some beef ribs today. They were the biggest beef ribs ever! The size was only surpassed by its tastiness. Last week they sold out but I was lucky enough to get some today! Come on out to the Farmer’s Market on Center St. Promenade in Anaheim on Thursday, but come early if you want some really special beef ribs.
Javier is becoming a pitmaster! He is really perfecting his craft! DELICIOUS!

The idea of having your lunch brought to you straight off the pit is sheer genius! There are no warming lamps here folks!!! The baby back ribs have just the right tenderness on them for that nice bite, great porky flavor. The tri-​tip was amazing! It tasted just like the famous Santa Maria tri tip. Not dry, juicy and full of beefy goodness. The king of meats BRISKET what can I say. I’m s true T-​REX. It was the most juicy tender meat I’ve tasted in a while, nice smoke ring so you know that smoke penetrated that meat. If your looking for some great bbq, no need to go to Texas, follow Jav’s bbq on Facebook and Instagram, he does private party catering and company events, all my friends and my BOSS were quite impressed and in heaven…

Amazing beef ribs… super succulent and juicy… limited quantities, worth every penny. Taste the smoke and the meat… add BBQ sauce as desired.
If you get the chance to visit the farmers market on Thursday in downtown Anaheim, ask Javier if he has beef ribs.
Tip: He runs out quick so try to get there around 11:30am.

Food is good was a little upset at the fact that a employee was yelling at the cashier calling her a ignorant … Only reason I will never come back!

It’s so hard to try new things at the Farmer’s Market when I know Jav’s won’t disappoint! Sure I try new things… But on Jav’s menu!

I love the pulled pork but this time i wanted tri-​tip. It was delicious too! Glad we were able to enjoy this treat because they sell out often.

Javier Gomez… Man, that was AMAZING bbq! The meat was perfect, I’ve never finished coleslaw but yours was so good that I finished it lol. And I must have more of that cornbread. Excellent food man! I’ll see you next week!

I have been eating barbecue forever and I was really happy when I found Jav’s barbecue stand at the Anaheim downtown farmers market. if you’re in the area on Thursdays, make sure you try to stop by and get some delicious food. I’ve had the pulled pork, the brisket and today I’m trying the barbecue chicken. everything from the meat to sides is made with loving care.

Would give zero so next lowest is One. WARNING: even though FB page and website has hours of operation and directions to the place, do not show up. The address is probably to Jav’s house. No BBQ or business there.
Note to Jav: let your customers know if you are not serving at the listed address. How about letting your customers know where you will be so they can enjoy your alleged good BBQ. Check out other mobile food services like Kogi’s who do it right.

I’ve been eating Jav’s Bar-​B-​Q dishes for a while. From pulled pork sandwiches to his amazing smoked ribs. Each and every time it’s always a satisfying meal.
The pulled pork sandwiches are smokey & delicious. It’s good enough to eat the meat all by itself. The ribs are tender & juicy and the meat falls right off the bone. These aren’t your ordinary ribs either, they have more meat on one rib than your typical ½ rack of ribs at any chain restaurant. I’m not one for sauces so, the flavor and seasoning NEEDS to be on point for me to enjoy — I’m never disappointed. The sides are delicious and adds to your BBQ experience. The portions are generous and anything you order taste homemade. The owner and staff are super friendly so, it feels like you’re eating with family.
I’m definitely hooked and will be coming back for more.

This BBQ is on point! I have been to a few places, not only in Texas but also in the South and this takes me back to my travels. There is no need for sauce on the food because it is cooked to perfection and should be enjoyed in its perfection!

I was checking out the Downtown Anaheim Farmer’s Market today and stopped to grab a bite for the kids & I from Javier’s Bar-​B-​Q.
We ordered the pulled pork sandwichs, which were tender and really flavorful. Javier apparently smokes his meat for hours on end to achieve the great taste. The sandwich comes with a side of coleslaw and BBQ beans. The coleslaw was marinated in some kind of delicious vinaigrette type of dressing, not your usual mayo bomb of a slaw, but really light and fresh. The BBQ beans were pretty amazing, just the right amount of spice and chunks of meat in them as well… yum!
Javier & his crew were really friendly and eager to serve their hungry customers.
I’m thinking that my next big party is gonna need some catering from this BBQ Master!

My hubby and I attended another Thirsty Thursday event at the Community in Anaheim and Jav’s BBQ was back serving their best. This time they added a third item to their menu… beef brisket!!! Oh my… all I can say is wow! The beef is soo tender and it taste great as is. They do offer BBQ sauce but I have no idea how it tastes since you won’t need it to add it all. Keep up the great work!

The best comfort food I have ever had. The first visit to Jav’s, I chose the Tri-​Tip sandwich that left me wanting for more. It was delicious. I am back again and tried their Brisket Sandwich and I had to write a review. That Brisket though! The meat just fell right off. Every bite was a little taste of heaven. I definitely recommend Jav’s BBQ. I know I will be following them wherever they go!
