The best place to get a montecristo sandwich, great variety of food and great flavor and variety of soups, prime rib is ok but needs better flavor, service is always top notch, I like the bar area sitting instead of the café area are seats are more cozy, great spot to play lotto tickets

My 3rd time here, never disappointed. Today I’m here with a Groupon cert, they request you order from 5he regular menu, no big problem. Today, I ordered the«fish and chips», it came with there daily baked french bread, choice of soups, they tortilla chicken soup was great, the fish. Very tasty(cod meat), good size portions, with dinner fries and a dish of vegetables.

I have live in West Anaheim for over 10 years now and this is by far the best place for breakfast. Their pancakes are unbelievable! The lunch/dinner menu isn’t very good but the breakfast is outstanding. Go for the pancakes and fresh squeezed O.J.

Been to this place for years!!! Waffle pecans, pancakes. The potato soup, buffalo wings, onion rings. Sandwich with steak was delicious! I tried their breakfast and is always good. Great family place, always nice and clean. Love it! ^_^

I love Kenos! This classic Anaheim joint has the best Patty melt I’ve ever had. The hostess are always so sweet and the service is amazing. The portions are huge and the bar is stocked! Debbie is the best waitress, she always serves us with a huge smile. If you’re ever in the area make sure to stop at Kenos and grab a bite.

Went today for Christmas morning brunch with old family friends. This isn’t a fancy place by any means, but it’s got such a homey feel. Because we were a large party, they gave us a corner of the restaurant with plenty of seating for 11 people. Could have fit 5 more people easily. Not sure what the other table ordered, but here at the«kids table» we had 3 orders of steak & eggs and one order of eggs benedict. The quality of the food isn’t that great… I’d say 3⁄5 stars for my eggs benny. The sauce was not very flavorful and the fruit side had old fruits. My brother’s sirloin steak was big and juicy but a bit charred. They give you three eggs versus two, though! Why the 4 stars then? Because the service is so genuinely kind. It’s a mom and pop operation with servers who you can tell have worked there for a long time. They were there on Christmas Day for goodness sakes. Thanks for the great get-together!

Ok first and maybe last time… I would have sad never except the owner Harry came to the table and applogized and offered something else and took the charge off my bill. Extremely nice gentleman. Simple swiss mushroom buger. Soaking wet bun and something black on the lettuce. Ordered shoestring fries crispy, got steak fries undercooked. One tiny cup of 1000 island. To top it off not once do the server come check on the table after dropping the food! Christmas Eve 3;30pm and the place totally empty. Poor service, if any at all. This was bad, but in the end it turned out to be an adventure…

Sit in the sports bar — it has great old timey atmosphere but without raggedy booths and stinky carpet.(renovated in 2013) Our waitress was fast, efficient and good humored even though my companions and I can be a little needy! Do you ever feel like some of these servers who have been at it for 20+ years have just seen and heard it all? I love a seasoned server who has a great memory and gets the job done! I had the Eggs Benedict with tomatoes added, side of fruit and bacon. The perfect dinner with grapefruit juice mimosas!

A nice place to kick back and relax after a long day at work. I always go to the bar side which seems pretty updated and has televisions across the bar. The food is your average café food… nothing special food, large portions, great price. Groupon usually has a deal $ 12 for $ 20 worth of food so be sure to check there first. I like getting either steak and eggs or steak dinner which comes with soup. Love their baked potato soup! Not a fan of their ribs which taste microwaved. Also not a fan of their fried chicken which is pretty bland. I’m not much of a beer drinker but my husband says it’s perfect temperature. Service is fast but staff isn’t very friendly to non-regulars. Food is nothing special but with the great prices and groupon deals, it’s always a great alternative to cooking!

Man, I have been going to this place for almost 20 years and I stopped going about 10 years ago and after coming back I realized why. The food is OK on a decent day. The wait staff is very very friendly and they are knowledgeable about their menu but the management is complete trash. I don’t remember the guy’s name but he is a douche to say the least. I won $ 500 on a scratcher at this place and as excited as I was I wanted to take a picture of the scratcher before I turned it in. The manager pretty much took the scratcher from my hands as I told him I wanted a picture, he said«I’ll be right back.» In my head he was going to go get my money and bring me back the scratcher. I was wrong. He came back, counted my money and said, «ok you’re paid.» Where was my scratcher? His excuse was that it’s already locked up in the vault. So why couldn’t I get my picture before? No answer. He’s an idiot, and should not manage a business if he has zero customer service. Even the lady working the register seemed kinda irritated that he did that. I didn’t get my picture but I did get the print out afterwards. I guess Unilocal is mostly for reviews of food, but it managements sucks the I thinks people should know about that too.

Whats not to like about this place. Perfect Happy Hour! Good Food, and impeccable service. The bartenders are all great! Drinks made just right. Lots of TV’s to watch the games on. The appetizers are meal size. I will be back.

FOLKS! There are TWO Keno’s! Both are«sports bars» of sorts, but half of the place is also a coffee shop. Know that the Groupon you might buy is only good at one of them, and for some reason, when we went to the incorrect one, they didn’t even tell us that they’re the same place with two different locations. It’s as if the one on the east end of the La Palma isn’t speaking to the one on the west end. Very odd. We went for happy hour — twice, since we didn’t find out until AFTER we ordered and consumed food and drink that the location where we were wasn’t the one accepting Groupons. We were in the bar half both times, and it’s — fine. It’s definitely stuck somewhere in time around 1967 with padded booths, nice middle-aged waitresses(think Alice), fair food that’s neither good nor bad, and a friendly feeling that comes with those places where people have been meeting and hanging out for decades of their lives before or after a night of bowling. Can’t forget that lit-up Keno board flashing in the corner of the room! You might walk in and feel completely out of place as one of the few people who are clearly not regulars, but you’re welcomed and put at ease by the nice waitress who calls you«Hon.» We had food, and forgive me as I write this several weeks after the fact, but I can’t remember what we had. It was fine. Fine. Not bad — fine. We had beers — they were fine. No interesting stuff on tap here, but that’s … fine. Would we go back? Well, probably not. It’s not our kind of place. It appeals to people who make it a habit to go there for the comfort rather than the quality of the food. They like the fact that nothing there has changed since it opened and likely with not change before it crumbles. That’s great for some, but we’re not those folks. Kudos to Kenos for letting those strangers walk in and feel welcome.

I’ve been going there since 1977. I’ve been through management and owner changes a few times. I’ve gone there when the food was excellent and when it was mediocre at best. We went to eat there today and we were given one place setting to use between 2 people. The service was poor. I’m use to this kind of service when we go eat phở. The waitress makes one trip to the table to take your order and another to drop of the food. If you need anything else– try to flag her down. We mention the trouble to the manager. He called her over to the front desk and invited a confrontation that served absolutely no purpose other than provide entertainment to customers waiting to pay their bill at the cash register. Terrible way to handle this situation. The manager then followed or escorted us to the door after he realized that this mishandled. Last time they will see us there

Not a huge fan of the dinner menu. My family and I go here every sat morning for breakfast. We order the same: Specialty Omelettes for my husband, Double french toast with bacon & eggs for me and chocolate chip pancakes with double bacon for my little ones. Yum! Breakfast is DELICIOUS! Our favorite spot to eat with our family. We are a family of 5 with 3 girls under 6 years of age. They are not too patient. But everytime we come here, service is not only super welcoming but fast. We have never experienced slow service here. The owners always say hello to our little ones. It feels like home here. All the servers we’ve ever had always smiled, joked around with us a bit and were just very friendly. My husband and I love to chit chat a bit and theyre always so nice! Only issue for me: bathrooms(womens-don’t know about men’s) need to be cleaner. Everytime I walk in, it smells of warm, bad odor. Bad smell plus heat… terrible mix. It could be better.

First — if you buy a Groupon, make sure it’s for the correct Keno’s. We actually went to the wrong one the first time. Both are on La Habra to really make things confusing. This one is closer to Knotts Berry Farm. That being said, super nice service! The server noticed we had a Groupon and made sure we understood what counts towards the coupon, but did it in a super friendly way. The food was your typical American Family Restaurant food, but way better than Denny’s. Hence 4 stars. They have my favorite — Hot Turkey Sandwich(or some people call it an Open Face Turkey Sandwich). Turkey was carved Turkey, not deli. Piled thick on top of 2 nice pieces of bread. My partner had a steak. He said it was OK, but what you expect at a restaurant like this. The corn bread was delish! Most corn bread is hard and falls apart when you eat it, this was soft and easy to eat. Yum! While we were there, we played 4 games of Hot Spots California Lottery game and won $ 2 out of a $ 4 bet. This game is kind of like Keno. Hmmmm, Keno at Keno’s… Again, the service was super great. Processed our Groupon without any issue. In the end, thanks for a great dinner. We left very stuffed.

— Locale Destination — It’s on W La Palma Ave and Magnolia Ave in Anaheim. Once you get into the building, I feel tripped — back in the old days. I think they have 2 sections — big dinning side on the left, and the sports bar on the right. But you pay at the podium located in between the 2 establishment(by the entrance). The dinning side looked very outdated. The sports bar has its own door. It’s a little odd. I can’t drink a lot, yet love to taste. I’m a big fan of NBA(Golden State, not so much of Heat anymore. maybe Cavalier?! I don’t know yet), so I start going to sports bar lately. This is more like«Oggi’s» type sports bar, yet a little more divey and outdated version of sports bar. What I meant was it’s not too divey, more casual — you can even bring your kids there type atmosphere. Just the décor is very outdated. Lots of TVs, friendly cute Asian bartenders, casual atmosphere. Plenty of parking. They sell lotteries as if it were the big thing… Happy Hours: Half off appetizers. Some discounts on beers… — Gluttony Expedition — Beers: Stone(SD), Kona and other genetic brands. $ 8 schooner. Food: American. Sandwiches, steaks, bar type foods(wings etc.) and salads. Chicken fingers: Not bad. It’s hard to screw it up, no? Gyro sandwich: Terrible. The side sour cream sauce had no taste. French fries: Good. Pickles: Zucchini and carrots. Terrible. Side salad: Very typical old school boring green salad. Corn bread: It was very dry and looked«not fresh». — Conqueror’s Deduction — My BFF, who is a white male from OH and eats various cuisines including Asian ones, hated the food. I don’t blame it. Well, we knew it would be like that, but we wanted to drink after hard work. And he knew I would want French fries, and he found a Groupon deal. Food is typical American food. Just OK or sub per. Lots of TVs for games — great. Beers are typical generic ones. It’s ok… Nothing special. I’ll avoid food.

Food– OK nothing too special. I would highly recommend you to go ahead and upgrade your fries to curly fries for $ 0.60 because the steak fries were not that great… unflavored and under-cooked. Ranch couldn’t even save it. Service– Great. Hostess, waitress, bartender were all super nice. Atmosphere– TOTALLY too cool! Right when you walk in– there’s basically 3 rooms: Outdoor patio– no TV, but a more intimate atmosphere. Dinning area– right when you walk in you feel like you’re at a Denny’s. I truly felt like I was at Denny’s until I looked straight ahead and this is where all the cool kids are at :) Bar/Keno Area: Right before you walk into the the glass door-ed bar area there is one scratcher machine and two super lotto machines and KENO?! WHAT? Thats so cool, in a diners? Not in Vegas? Thats pretty bad ass in my books. In the bar area, there are several TV’s it was a sunday and they were playing all of the football games! With Volume with the main game! Even cooler! All-in-all if I lived closer I would come here for sunday brunch to watch the football games here. Crowds are entertaining and nice, I like this place. If it wasn’t for the cool keno/bar/lotto area, this place would be 3 stars in my books and would not be that memorable. Dishes range from $ 10-$ 15 a plate
