Try the orange float definitely a nice refreshment after walking around Disneyland. The lines may be long but it’s worth it

This place seems to be pretty well hidden which is a big plus. Gibson Girl is well known on Main Street at Disneyland and will usually always have a crowd, even on the cold days. As for this little place, it won’t be too crowded ever. Unlike Gibson Girl, there is no real seats to sit here, there is just an order window and you will quickly be handed your ice cream cone or cup and be ready to keep going for the day. Being that the place is very small, service can be a tad slow even though there is no line to wait at. They also don’t have all the variety of flavors that Gibson’s offers but if you don’t mind the simple basics such as vanilla, chocolate or mint chocolate chip(my favorite), then why spend more time on a long line at Gibsons… just come here!

This place just sells regular ice cream, nothing special about it, besides the fact that you’re at Disneyland! It is kinda pricey for ice cream, but like I said, you’re at Disneyland. However, their single scoops are huge! So it’s definitely worth it!

Main Street Cone Shop in hidden off of Mainstreet. I believe most people, like myself, have over looked this cone shop because of the obvious ice cream shop across the street, Gibson girl. Not until Gibson Girl was undergoing renovations(February 2012) did I find Main Street Cone Shop. MSCS is set up more like an old fashioned ice stand, no indoor seating, strictly ice cream. Single Cup-$ 3.69. Rainbow Sherbet is delicious and so glad I found this gem of a ice cream stand.

Sure it’s just Dreyer’s ice cream, but not as many people are aware of this ice cream shop. Most guests starting filing a line at the Gibson Girl Ice Cream Parlor on Main St. You can’t really complain about how much a scoop of ice cream is because you always have to consider you are inside of Disneyland. At least the scoops they give you are very generous. My faves: Mint Chocolate Chip, Chocolate, & Root Beer Float OVERALL: One of the more ‘lowkey’ ice cream shops in dland. Like I always say, YOUWON’T KNOWUNLESSYOUTRYITFORYOURSELF!

Everyone seems to be comparing this to Gibsons which is currently closed for renovations. I’m not rating this as a comparisons to Gibsons just for what it actually is a small ice cream stand on main street. There aren’t very many flavors infact I think I can name them for you here; Chocolate, Strawberry, Mint Chip, moca almond something… ummm…ahhhh I gave it a shot I think I’m missing one. The menu is small but its a great hidden spot if you wanna grab an ice cream before a parade. The waffle cones are good. Honestly though I wonder how many they destroy trying to get the ice cream in there I watched the girl doing my two cones destroy 3 cones in the process lol. Enjoy & Happy Eating

When the line is ridiculous at the Gibson Girl place across the street, go here. No hassles.

so i found out the other day that the gibson girl ice cream parlor on main st has been shut down for renovations so what better time to completely downgrade the menu of the small little ice cream place across the street. no more specialty sundaes, no more strawberry, hot caramel, hot fudge, or marshmallow toppings to go on your sundaes. no whipped cream and cherries either. only plain ice cream and cones and paper cups. blah. it looks like they were all geared up inside to take on a higher rate of customers coming to the little ice cream stand, with at least 3 to 4 workers inside. were they afraid having too many options for the customers would overwhelm the small little shack? also, when i went maybe an hour before closing the other day, they were out of over half the flavors of ice cream advertised on the sign. bummer.

I’m sad they’ve closed down the Gibson Girl Ice Cream Parlor temporarily because they offered more flavors. [I really wanted Cookies n Cream.] Main Street Cone Shop offers, if I can remember, Chocolate, Vanilla, Strawberry, Mocha Almond Fudge, Mint Chocolate Chip and Rainbow Sherbet. They also have only regular cones or plain waffle cones/cups. No peanut or sprinkles cone.

Shhhhhhhhh… don’t tell anyone. Notice there is only one photo of this place? I’ve coming to Disneyland for a long long long time… just got my corn dog at the corn dog cart on Main street and walked over and saw this cone shop hidden with… NOLINES… Dang it… just bought a turkey leg and a corn dog… I would have traded them both in for some ice cream… I didn’t know… I don’t like standing in line for a couple of hours to pay premium price for ice cream… I did that with my corn dog… now I know were to go for my ice cream fix… eat it at the Plaza Inn… the waffle cone is the ticket… two scoops of strawberry… oh yeah… I am there. Pinky swear, this is just between you and me OK?

I love this ice cream spot in Disneyland — it’s right across Main Street from the always-busy Gibson Girl Ice Cream Parlor, and it often goes unnoticed. This cone shop is literally just an ice cream window and it usually opens after 2pm(in the wintertime, it’s usually not open at all), but it is a great place to grab a yummy sundae or cone. They also serve green apples with caramel dipping sauce if ice cream isn’t your thang. Do keep in mind, though, that since this is an ice cream window, they don’t have as many flavors as Gibson Girl — but they have the basics, like vanilla, chocolate, strawberry, mint chocolate chip, mocha almond fudge, and rainbow sherbet. They also have an amazing sundae that is not available at Gibson Girl called the Firehouse — it has ice cream, hot fudge, and marshmallow crème on it… mmmm… The only thing that can be frustrating about this place is that the line moves veeerrrrry slooooowly since there’s usually only 2 people working — one working the register, and one making the treats. There is a little bit of table seating available right outside the window, and the tables have umbrellas, so it’s great to be able to sit in the shade and watch the crowds on Main Street on a hot day. A yummy treat at my favorite place in the world! :)

Great alternative to get ice cream on a hot summer day if the Gibson Girl Parlor is just too packed! Serves the same ice cream and with out the line. It’s tucked away in a corner near the lockers I believe the sundaes aren’t the same but its okay when its hot and your craving ice cream this place will do.
