On Main Street, USA, to the left as you enter the park, is this nondescript parlor many miss while wandering down to the rides and attractions. It’s at the end of the candy store, a long and winding line leading to the counter. Order off the large menu, step to one side, and you’ll have a sugary treat to enjoy in quick time. And, c’mon, it’s ice cream, you’re not going too far wrong with whatever you choose. Yeah, the sprinkles can taste a bit overly preserved, but with whipped cream, syrup, and all the chocolate and cookies you could enjoy with it, you won’t really care. The line is fairly quick, even on crowded days, and you never have to wait too long. There’s a place to stand and eat at the bar and a few tables, but typically not enough for large amounts of people, my only real gripe. But, once you get your treat, you can be off into the park where benches abound. If I’m ever in the park with my mother, getting a Root Beer Float is always a sure bet. And if I’m here with the family, sitting down for a parade, a Chocolate Chip Cookie Hot Fudge Sundae is enough to make all of us happy. — — — - And for the Disneyland Reviews List: Taste — Or the Overall Flavor: * * * * Ice cream, plain and simple. Nothing too fancy, syrup and whipped cream with a cherry on top. The cookies can be a bit stale at times, and the sprinkles alongside them, but the floats are a great, the ice cream always cold, and there’s always something to satisfy. Convenience — Of the Seating & Service Options: * * There’s little in the way of space to sit. Anymore than a handful of people and you’ll have to go outside to enjoy anything you get. Still, the line is quick, with plenty of room to move around while you wait, a saving grace in this category. Value — Will you walk away satisfied?: * * * Every place in Disneyland is relatively over priced; the trick is to find food that will make you not want a snack two hours later, despite what you pay. Typically, paying around $ 10 per person is what you should expect, but still have a filling meal. It’s not a full dinner, by any stretch, but you can get enough sugar and dairy to fill up without having to break that $ 10 mark. Kid Factor — Is there entertainment for the young ones?: * * With no seating, there’s little to tether kids to The Gibson Ice Cream Parlor. Still, with ice cream to treat them with, and the prospect of a parade right outside, can put smiles on some faces.

This is a must visit if you’re going to Disneyland. The firehouse sundae in particular is my favorite thing on the menu. I don’t consume dairy anymore, but I still have daydreams about that sundae haha. If you do find yourself in Disney, don’t miss out on this place!

Solid. Solid. Solid. Every time I go to Disneyland, I find myself here towards the end of the day. The reason? Root. Beer. Floats. The line for this place is seemingly long at all times of the day, especially in the late afternoon. Though it’s a crowded ice cream parlor, the line goes relatively quick, and the workers are pretty efficient at scooping it up and serving it out. Their menu is small and simple, which is a great recipe. With roughly 8 – 10 ice cream flavors to choose from, 3 kinds of floats(Root Beer, Coca Cola, and Orange Soda), various cone/cup options, and a few sundaes, the menu here provides the perfect amount of options, without being overly complicated. The root beer they use is indeed Barq’s, the ice cream they use is Dreyer’s, and I believe their orange soda is Fanta, for those that are wondering. Ice cream flavors include classics like Vanilla, but also tried and true favorites like Cookies and Cream and Cookie Dough. Well, as you can imagine, I ordered the famous root beer float here. As a pro tip, feel free to ask them to change the ice cream flavor from vanilla to whichever you’re craving! It’s a free substitute, so if you’re like me, and love the cookie dough ice cream, just ask them to put that in your float instead! Note that the floats here come with whipped cream on top, so if you don’t like that, kindly ask them to refrain. The root beer floats here taste great. Though slightly small, the quantity is sufficient enough, and the ice cream scoops are generous. Go ahead and give this place a try next time you find yourself strolling down Main Street, inside of Disneyland.

— They serve Dreyer’s ice cream(not gelato). Therefore the 3 stars. — Two scoops is plenty(they are big scoops), and it will serve two people. — Lines are long. — Their highlight is the waffle cones, made in house. Delicious!

Ice cream galore! Dipped cones are great, sundaes are great, and usually even the longest of lines doesn’t take a long time. Only downside — if you’re an annual pass holder, they don’t take the discount(the rule is — they have to have a kitchen). Otherwise awesome!

I loved everything experience at The Gibson Ice Cream Parlor. Beautifully, warm and a friendly place to make a quick stop for ice cream. They have tons of flavors and options to choose and their portions are generous. The service was great they give you lots of sample of their unique ice cream for you to taste. Overall, amazing quality and friendly service, highly recommend!

Our last stop before it Disneyland adventures came to an end for the day… Located on Main Street. The lines are long but seemed to move fairly quickly and our order was ready just as fast. We ordered a few cones and an orange soda float. the price is actually pretty fair considering the scoops of ice cream are HUGE. Ice cream was dreyers and tasted fresh. Pretty much your classic flavors. Compared to the ice cream cones we ordered, I was expecting a little more ice cream in my float. Seems like there was only one(smaller) scoop, and I would’ve like it a little more creamy. Otherwise, definitely a place to go for a treat while in Disneyland…

Dreyers Ice Cream Remembering and Recreating Memories. On a hot summer day, guide yourself to Main Street in Disneyland for a ice cream, float or sundae. Lines can be long so be prepared to wait. If you have a big party, space isn’t very practical for everyone to wait inside. Several seats and tables are available and people are willing share vacant seats– just ask :) The waffle cones are delicious and some embellished with sprinkles. The cone cups are made in a waffle station next to a window booth. I would recommend it :)

So, I just noticed the other night that they created a little waffle cone making booth with a window to view how it all goes down, which made me a little sad because you can’t smell the waffle cones/bowls being freshly made. That was one of the draws of Gibson Girl, was the smell of freshly made waffle cones that wafted through the Main st. candy shops and now it’s gone. Also, they don’t have bananas in their sundaes anymore :(Sad panda.

Items ordered: Two Waffle Cones with 2 Ice Cream scoops. Disneyland Ice Cream is no joke! This joint is located on Main Street next to all the small shops inside Disneyland. You walk in and they have menus all over the place. The line may look long but it travels fast. The menus doesn’t have many options, but what they have is really good. We ordered 2 flavored cones and spent $ 14.Pricier than average, but the cones were huge. The cones were chocolate dipped with Sprinkles. The service was slower than usual, but the ice cream made up for it. I ordered 1 scoop of Cookie and Crème and the other of strawberry. Both Scoops delicious in flavor with chunks of cookie and strawberry. Very delicious. We got our ice cream and started walking around. To our surprise, we both didn’t finish the cone. Overall, nice hidden gem in Disneyland. Great ice cream and fun place to be! The ice cream floats look delicious, so I will try that next time.

This ice cream parlor is always extremely busy on Main Street Disneyland. They make fresh waffle cones on site and they serve big big scoops of ice cream. I always get the chocolate chip fudge sundae with chocolate chip cookies. It comes with two hefty scoops of vanilla ice cream, hot fudge on the bottom, two chocolate chip cookies, with a big dollop of whipped cream. I sub the vanilla ice cream for cookies and cream. The cookies are sometimes chewy or crispy, just depends on how they made it that day. The sundae is about $ 6.50 but if you have an annual pass you will receive a discount!~

Every time I come to Disneyland, I immediately think of when I can get my Gibson girl ice cream! The line is always so long, but it goes by quickly so don’t be intimidated by it! They also serve you quickly no matter how many people are in line or how many people are waiting for their ice cream. I’ve never had to wait too long. Yes they sell Dreyers ice cream here, which a lot of people seem to complain about, but personally I think it’s still really good! Must be the Disney Magic as well!

Remember the song«What Dreams Are Made Of» from The Lizzie McGuire movie? I am pretty positive(bordering on absolutely certain) that Hilary Duff had Gibson Girl Ice Cream Parlor in mind when singing that song. Every single time, without fail, I come to Disneyland, I make a trip to Gibson Girl. Sometimes, I even wait in the shop until their 11:30AM opening time and rush up to the front to order my usual of a double scoop of vanilla with rainbow sprinkles in a rainbow sprinkle waffle cone. However, during the holidays, I like to switch it up and order the seasonal peppermint ice cream(double scoop, of course) in a peppermint waffle cone. I have to be festive and Gibson Girl makes it too easy and too delicious. The ice cream may be Dreyer’s, but with Disney magic, this is the best ice cream I have ever had. Pro-tip: Ghirardelli in San Francisco also serves Dreyer’s, so maybe that’s why I am so in love.

This is ALWAYS my go to ice cream spot in the Disney Park on Main Street. You can never go wrong with any selection here. And at any point of the day it’s good to go. When you first arrive, when you’re waiting for a show, when you’re leaving the park, when it’s hot and when it’s cold :) There’s pretty much a line ALWAYS, but it’s not surprising when they offer ice cream creations as good as theirs. It’s actually just Dryer’s ice cream that they offer, but that’s not the point LOL maybe it’s just because it’s Disney Dryer’s Ice Cream that it tastes 100 times better. I usually get the Chocolate Chip Cookie Sundae or the Strawberry Street Car Sundae, which by the way taste oh so amazing! The Chocolate Chip Cookie Sundaes come with two HUGE scoops of vanilla on top of two Chocolate Chip Cookies and Hot Fudge topped with whipped cream and a cherry on top. Can you say SUGARRRRRRUUUUUSSSHHHH?! They are extremely generous with everything; whipped cream, ice cream and fudge. The Strawberry Street Car was really good too. I’d recommend it to anyone who loves strawberries because they overload that bad boy with strawberries and try this one with a waffle cone. Besides those options I peeped the Mint Chocolate Chip ice cream sundae and their float options. Mmm all this writing and I can just taste the ice cream! Enjoy your favorite ice cream at the happiest place on EARTH! ps. If you order one ice cream it’s enough to share for two. Unless you’re ice cream lovers and aren’t counting calories.

It’s just Dreyers. One time I even got big chunks of ice in my scoop. Nothing special, sadly. Can you imagine how amazing Disney-made ice cream would be? But then, it would probably be a Frozen themed ice cream shop. *shudder* Never mind. It’s only 60 cents more for the second scoop, so you might as well get two scoops and ask for an extra cup.. . Also, they sell the same ice cream at the Golden Horseshoe, so if the line is crazy here you can take a stroll over to the old saloon. FYI no annual pass discount here(but you do get it at the Golden Horseshoe).

It feels like every time I come to Disneyland on a hot day, I see a lot of kids with ice cream and then end up craving some, and decide to come here, even though I know each time I get it I won’t be satisfied with what I get. I think they serve Dreyer’s ice cream, and the taste and quality reflect just that. It’s goods for fulfilling a sweet tooth, with all the toppings and way you can make it, or to pre-select from one of the sundaes. But overall, there just isn’t that much special about the ice cream, it just is, you aren’t really getting it to observe a certain taste or try and fulfill a certain combination of flavors. It’s just an ice cream sundae.

What is not to love about an ice cream parlor?! –The fact that it doesn’t open until 11:30(um, hello… Main street has been open since 8AM and it is already 90 degrees out… we WANT ice cream NOW!) –There is limited seating –They do not accept the annual pass holder discount BUT…besides those minor things, the ice cream is wonderful. I always get the mint chip sundae and it is yummy. My hubby likes the Chocolate chip Dalmation Sundae. For a little over $ 10, our sweet tooth is satisfied!

Fun sundaes, tasty floats and great flavors of ice cream. It’s really just normal ice cream, it’s Dreyers, so nothing too phenomenal about it, but still yummy to eat and gives you a happy mouth and belly. My favorite is the Firehouse Dalmatian Mint Sundae, just the right amount of everything! Waffle cones, cups, toppings and floats… there’s something for everyone(except for those of us who LOVE caramel, they don’t have that… BOO!) Typically you will find a long line but, have no fear, it always moves fast. It’s located along bustling Main Street, occasionally we like to get something sweet on the way out and then take it and sit around the firehouse where most of the time there is some sort of band or action going on in this area. It will give you a sweet smile on your face, definitely worth stopping in!

Good ice cream. Not incredible but good. Walking along Main Street at Disneyland I decided to stop in for a root beer float. It was refreshing and delicious but nothing out of the ordinary. Just a solid and standard root beer float. Don’t be frightened away by the long line. It moves quickly and the orders come up fast as well. There is a lack of seating so plan to grab and go.

3.5 Stars for Gibson Girl. Eating an ice cream sundae on main street is one of those quintessential Disneyland experiences. Gibson Girl features Dryers ice cream in a few flavors. Nothing too fancy or special, but decent quality ice cream. Cups, comes, waffle cones, or bowls. If you’re coming in for ice cream, do yourself a favor and get one of the sundaes. It’s really the only way to go. Like $ 1.50 more than a single scoop and you get SO much more. Plus the hot fudge sauce is divine! Firehouse Dalmatian Mint Sundae is where it’s at. Line moves quickly. Hang ups about Gibson Girl: 1. Very limited seating. Not nearly enough for the amount of people that come in for a treat. 2. Needs to offer kids sized scoops. Hello it’s a theme park with tons of little kids! I usually just get one scoop and an extra bowl to split it for my kids and it works.
