Hands down. Best. Chicken evaaaaa. I was pretty reluctant to try this place again cuz my first experience wasn’t that amazing. The first time I went, the chicken was dry or maybe I just wasn’t feeling it. We’ve already went on a food frenzy around the park, so our options were exhausted. It was the beginning of the new year, so most of the restaurants were packed or we had to make reservations. After walking around the park for the entire day, I decided to just give this place another shot since the smell of fried chicken was making my tummy growl. There was a line, but the wait wasn’t too bad. We grabbed a tray and went to the line that served the chicken. If I recall correctly, the plate came with three large juicy tender moist delectable fried chickens. Can u tell how much I fell in love with them? We also grabbed a fat large slice of carrot cake cuz if y’all know me, a girls gotta have her sweets. I was so stuffed from the crispy chicken that I disregarded the veggies on the plates cuz cmon, we all know that’s a waste of space. However, I have a basically have a second stomach for sweets unfortunately, so I dived into the cake all by myself. The cake was sweet, but not toooo sweet like some American cakes. Couldn’t finish the whole thing though cuz I was still full from stuffing my face with the chicken. Definitely a spot I will hit up whenever I decide to go back to the happiest place on earth

MMMmmm. My favorite place to eat at Disneyland. Prices have gone up gradually over the years, currently, it’s about $ 16 for a 3 piece chicken meal, which is what I always get. They also serve pasta, salads, and some desserts. The most popular dish here is the chicken plate. The pasta is just so-so and comes with a breadstick. It’s a casual eatery where you get your food and take it to your table yourself. This place always gets packed during peak lunch and dinner times. During these times, send someone in your party to save a table for the group. They also do a character breakfast here in the morning. There is both inside and outside seating. You can also order the food there or if you want to take your food to eat elsewhere in the park, or to eat while waiting for the parade and fireworks as I have done before, just tell them you want it to-go and they will pack it in a disposable plate. I always get the 3 piece chicken meal here, which is half a chicken because it comes with a thigh, drumstick, and breast piece with a wing attached. You also get a biscuit and 2 sides(green beans and mashed potatoes, but you can double up on one instead if you prefer). The chicken is tasty and juicy. Drinks are in plastic cups, but I doubt there are free refills, lol. If you want to take it to-go, they have paper cups you can get instead at the register. Also, if you ordered your meal to-go, they will give you the lids and plastic silverware at the register. They also have plastic bags if you need them. As with pretty much any Disney place, service here is good. Do not get discouraged if you see a long line. The lines move fast! They just try to keep the crowd down inside the eatery. If you have a Disney annual pass, make sure you show it for a discount! I always show mine! Will I be here again? Of course I will! It’s my favorite place to eat at in Disneyland! Of course, I’m a big fried chicken fan… so if you do not like fried chicken, this may not be the place for you. I also think it’s a better value than some of the other eats they offer.

I have nothing but good things to say about Plaza Inn. Having been here when the food was really sparse, the buffet was virtually nonexistent and the service was lacking, this was a very welcome change. We came for the Character Breakfast. This was the first time Yeti Moose Lamb actually was happy to see a character, and the first one happened to be Captain Hook! Minnie Mouse and Tigger seem to go to very particular tables, because even thought they passed by us several times, they went to very particular tables. So we said Hello to Eeyore, The Fair Godmother, and a mouse from Cinderella along with Hook. Food was pretty standard and the price is for the experience. Remind yourself of that when you’re paying to get in. Now you can purchase your reservations through Disney Dinning or CostCo. We went with CostCo and I think we got a little break in the price.

The BEST place for character breakfasts. Plaza Inn is a staple for me when I visit the house of mouse. The food is consistent, hearty and tasty. The portions here are robust – you definitely don’t leave hungry! I usually only eat here at character breakfasts. This is a great option if you have kids who are into characters like Winnie the Pooh, Minnie, Pluto, Goofy and Chip n Dale. They don’t have many face characters(read: characters that don’t require costumes of animals that cover faces like Alice from Alice in Wonderland) and there are NOPRINCESSES. I’ve seen the Fairy Godmother here multiple times, however. They will come meet and greet while you eat as well as take pictures and sign autographs. If you want princesses go to Ariel’s Grotto(the breakfast there isn’t as good IMO). Breakfast is an all you care to eat buffet of breakfast favorites – eggs, breakfast potatoes, pastries, Mickey waffles, sausages and bacon(they offer chicken sausage now, too!), assorted juices, coffee, etc. I’m sure I’m forgetting to mention some of the selections, but rest assured there is something for everyone. The restaurant is closed to those who aren’t eating at the character breakfast, whereas lunch and dinner do not offer characters and get crowded both inside and out. You can stay as long as you like and eat as much as you like for around $ 30, and for theme parks this is a great deal. Lunch and dinner are a bit more frenzied and it tends to get louder inside. Breakfast is a bit more leisurely and almost completely families with young children. The fried chicken is a solid choice for dinner with big sides. Entrees are big enough to share. Great seating and viewing for fireworks or parades. A must for first timers to the park!

Went here last Friday because we wanted character dining and Mickey waffles! I think this place should be renamed from Minnie and friends to Minnie and every character ever. Granted there weren’t any princesses, but we had every other character under the sun there! From pearl(mouse in Cinderella) to max goof, Peter Pan and fairy god mother, this pace was awesome! And they don’t ignore 20 somethings either! It was a wonderful surprise and we had a blast. The food was fantastic too. We sat for almost two hours to just enjoy the food(three trips worth! Hello Mickey waffles and omelette station!) and meet all the characters. They take a picture of you out front but you still need to buy it. I feel the price $ 30.99 for an adult is a lot for a breakfast and the picture should have been free but I can’t argue wit the amazing food and characters. A must do for kids and adults alike!

When you’re walking down Main Street and come across that intoxicating smell of fried chicken, it’s coming from here. They serve breakfast, lunch and dinner, but I recently came in for dinner. I would call this upscale cafeteria style dining. Once you walk in, you grab a tray, some silverware and go to whichever station you please. They have stations for fried chicken, pot roast, pastas, salads and desserts. I had to try their popular Fried Chicken plate($ 16.49) which comes with half a chicken, mashed potatoes, gravy, green beans and a biscuit. It’s a lot of food and easily shareable(but you might have to fight over the mashed potatoes). The chicken had a nice crunchy skin. The white meat was a little dry but overall I liked the chicken. It had more of a zesty flavor than the chicken at Carnation Café from what I remember. The ambience is cute Victorian and cozy. You can sit inside or outside on the patio. This is a good choice for a hearty meal. Be prepared for a possible food coma afterwards.

Every time you walk down Disneyland Main street, you can smell Plaza Inn’s famous fried chicken from a mile away! I am not a huge fried chicken person, but whenever I come to Disneyland, I feel like I have to get this comfort dish. The chicken dinner comes with 3 huge pieces of fried chicken, delicious green beans, buttermilk biscuit, and mashed potatoes with gravy. If you’re coming to the park only once, this place is a must try even if they just bumped up the price by $ 5. Yes this chicken dinner is now $ 17 from $ 12. Make sure to use your Annual Pass discount if you have one! This place has the best fried chicken I have ever had, but I can’t justify paying $ 17 for this dish anymore!

I only stumbled onto this place because I typically get a corn dog from the Little Red Wagon and then plant myself at one of Plaza Inn’s outdoor tables(heh). While eating our lunches that were all anything but food from Plaza Inn, we noticed from the tables around us that the servings looked to be pretty big, definitely shareable between two people. On our way out, we took a quick peek at the prices and considering how other restaurants inside the park cost an arm and a leg, decided that for ~$ 16 the fried chicken plate was a pretty darn good deal. Came back around dinner time and hopped into the seemingly long line to get in. Surprisingly, the line moved fairly quickly and we were inside and ready to order within 10 minutes of our arrival. We opted for 2 fried chicken plates to split between the 4 of us. Each plate came with either 3 pieces of chicken(breast, thigh, leg) or 2 pieces of chicken(breasts), string beans, biscuit and mashed potatoes with gravy. The food was delicious and the 4 of us were all more or less satisfied at the end of it. It’s definitely one of the more budget friendly meals in the park, in my opinion. It was nighttime so the outdoor heating lamps were on and while they weren’t all that strong, it was nice to finally find somewhere warm especially keeping in mind how freezing cold it’s been lately. We ended up staying at the tables to get a decent spot to watch the diamond anniv. fireworks special. From Plaza Inn, the view of the castle is partially obstructed so we weren’t be able to see much of the projections on the castle BUT we could still view the fireworks just fine and it was also warm(er) there… so there’s that. All in all, I’m glad that we finally decided to check this place out. Great pricing, large portions, tasty food, and an excellent spot to relax and watch the fireworks. I’ll definitely be back, Plaza Inn! Here’s to hoping that your servings are just as big for all the other items on the menu!

I would describe this place as a college dorm cafeteria that’s severely overpriced! We paid $ 70 for 4 adult meals and drinks! We had the choice between fried chicken, pot roast, and pasta. Each of us ordered from the different stations. We were so tired and hungry we decided to eat here because it was quick and readily available. The service is not that great. Our table was dirty and we had to ask them to clean it off for us. To their defense, Disneyland was crazy the day we were there. But then again, what day isn’t crazy here? We all finished our food out of pure hunger! It was edible, but it wasn’t the best I’ve ever had! I wished we had the energy to exit the park and eat outside Disneyland. We would have been a little better off at Downtown Disney! But this was convenient and that’s really what you’re paying for!

Come here a few times to eat lunch I always seem to miss breakfast here cause i want to get the Mickey waffles lol. For lunch seems like i always end up getting the Pasta dish. You can choose your sauce and it is very good. The popular lunch item is the chicken. This place gets crowded fast so tables for a group of 4 or greater could be hard to get. This is one place in the park that has decent eats as well.

The food is good and the fried chicken is better than many other food items in the park but the number one reason to eat at the Plaza Inn is for the great views of the parades, fireworks and people watching. Location is key at Disneyland Park and this is the best place to view any and all entertainment around Main Street and the castle. Service is good and refills are free. The entrees are large so there is plenty for two people to share an entrée.

Best place to get a bang for your buck at Disneyland! Sometimes the line can be long in the front, but don’t let that deceive you. It actually goes by pretty quickly. I chose to eat the 3 piece fried chicken(pretty much ½ a chicken) with sides of vegetables, mashed potatoes, and a biscuit. You can have 2 people share this one meal, but if you haven’t eaten all day then you sure want to get your own plate :) They also offer a variety of other meals such as fish of the day, pot roast, pasta, and much more. This is a great restaurant in Disneyland where you can sit, enjoy your meal, converse with your family and friends, and rest your feet rather than an eat-and-go type of setting. So when you visit, enjoy the food and enjoy the time you have to rest your feet!

Highly recommend the fried chicken special, $ 16.49, three pieces of Chicken fried to a golden brown and seasoned with distinctive Herbs and Spices and served with Mashed Potatoes, Buttermilk Biscuit, and Green Beans. It is delicious. My wife had the Penne Pasta with Chicken Pesto Alfredo Sauce topped with Parmesan Cheese and served with a Breadstick, $ 13.99. She like it too. Breakfast is by reservation with a special«characters» appearance. Lunch, brunch and dinner are cafeteria style with a tray and checkout with you moving the food to any open table. December is a little cold at night and the inside warmer seating is very limited. But SOCAL is warm most of the time so no problem.

I never thought I’d really enjoy food at a theme park. I never thought I would do anything other than bring my own grub to a theme park to save some bucks. I also never thought I would use my time at a theme park to actually sit down and eat rather than rushing from ride to ride. Well, times change. And yes, I’m older now. I have walked by the Plaza Inn a hundred times before but had no clue what was inside. I thought it was hot dogs and fast food like they serve everywhere else. Well, shame on me. The prices here are ridiculous but the fried chicken dinner can be split between two people so I suppose there’s some value there. The chicken was delicious and literally finger licking good. Plus, I didn’t have to purchase it in a large round bucket with some demented colonel’s face on the side. The side of mashed potatoes was great and the side of green beans was good, too. I was tempted to do the«double mashed» thing but decided against it. The tables could be cleaned a little more frequently because, let’s face it, theme park customers(even at Disneyland) are piggies. They are as large as piggies, they eat like piggies, and they are as messy as piggies. Sorry, folks, but it’s true. It’s buffet style so there’s really no service other than do it yourself. I will happily return if my arteries cry out for fried chicken and I want a break from the park. Inside the restaurant, you really do feel removed from the crowds outside and that has value, too. It’s restaurant quality food at Disney prices. You make the call.

The Plaza Inn is where I’ve always remembered going in those early Disney mornings to grab some breakfast and hangout with all the super cool Disney characters! The breakfast shin dig has always been one of those awesome experiences where you can get up close to the characters and take some pictures with them wile enjoying what will fuel your Disney adventures through the day! It has been many years since I’ve partaken in one of the character breakfasts as I when we come to Disney it’s rare that we have grommets with us but I’m sure that it’s definitely in the future as I’m getting older and something that I’ll be looking forward to as I used to love this when I was a little one! Pretty much every time when your walking at the end of Main Street and heading into Tomorrow Land you can smell the delicious sent of their scrumptious fried chicken and yes it is as good as the scent that will lure you in! Pretty much once your inside grab a tray and head to what station your craving! They have a simple menu of a few items ranging from their fried chicken, pot roast, pasta, as well as salad and desert. The fried chicken here has always been yummy and wow do they give you a good amount of food as I had a breast, leg, and thigh along side the mashed potatoes, green beans, and biscuit! Needless to say it hit the spot of all around scrumptiousness! They also have a Cobb salad here that I’ve gotten for years it’s super delicious and piled with all those yummy things you find in a Cobb that I always top with blue cheese as it just goes well! This last visit was awesome as it was a little baby’s birthday at the table next to us when that came about a few cast members came out and sang happy birthday to them complete with a harmonica player. Sadly the baby didn’t like the singing of the birthday song and started crying as soon as this happened they stopped playing and shifted over to playing a lullaby that quickly turned the crying into a smile of pure delight so much that when they were done and about to leave the baby started crying again because they wanted more music, so the cast members came back for an encore or two which I thought was just super awesome and totally a cool thing to do as everyone in the room was enjoying the music by this time! I’m sure that one of the future Disney visits will defiantly involve a trip to the delicious Plaza Inn once our tummies start that grumbling after soo much park fun!

Mmmm the famous Disneyland fried chicken. You can’t go to Disneyland and not have eaten at this place. It’s comfort food at it’s finest, with 3 pieces of chicken, mashed potatoes, green beans, and a biscuit. Usually I will share this plate and add on a kid’s meal but the last time I went, I got a plate all to myself. It’s one of the better deals at the park, and one of the most delicious as well! I haven’t tried anything else here because the fried chicken is just that good. If you sit outside, depending on your timing, you’ll be able to see the parade or fireworks. Don’t feel deterred by it’s candy pink exterior, go in for the chicken!

We did the character breakfast all you can eat buffet. Liked: good quality food, attentive service, and the chance to meet your favorite Disney characters. The banana Caramel sauce for the French toast was absolutely amazing! If you like caramel I recommend saving all of your appetite for just that. It really is that good. My daughter loved meeting the characters and we didn’t feel rushed to vacate space for the next customers. It was great! I would normally pay so much for a breakfast buffet but, when you add in the fact that you get to meet the characters, it all evens out somehow. Not so liked: The line to get into the breakfast buffet was quite long. I’m glad we had reservations. Also, I found it incredibly difficult to find a water dispenser. Just another sign that America is overly addicted to soda!

I honestly did not feel this place was all that good. I had been looking at food options at Disneyland, and the fried chicken here was supposed to be super good and one of the highlights of the food here, so I came in with decent expectations(though a bit lowered cause it was Disneyland). Unfortunately I came out disappointed. There is a line out from where the host/hostess lets a certain number of people in at a time, and after you go in, you grab a tray, and grab your food and then you go and pay. I had the fried chicken dinner, and honestly, it wasn’t that good. I felt the chicken was really salty, the peas tastes like they were over cooked, and the gravy just made everything saltier than it was. It was as if I had bought fried chicken from the supermarket, and then reheated the vegetable and potato portions of a frozen dinner and put it together. It just wasn’t that good and I really don’t get the hype for this place.

The best Character Dining Breakfast ever!!! Fairy Godmother, Hook, Pinocchio, Chip and Dale, Pooh and Eyore! Omg magical! It was so fun. The Fare was good but limited selection for a buffet style breakfast. Sweet breads, fruit, eggs, bacon, sausage, biscuits, gravy potatoes. Service is friendly and helpful with pictures and drink service! Definitely recommend!

After spending the whole afternoon running around Disneyland, my family and I were in dire need of some sustenance. Coincidentally, Plaza Inn was right in front of us and with our stomachs demanding for food, we decided to go for it. First off, I have to say that«Plaza Inn» has to be the most boring name for a restaurant I have ever heard. This is in Disneyland for goodness sake! You would think they could come up with something original. However, the boring name in no way represented the gorgeous interior design that awaited us when we walked through the doors. Intricately decorated pink walls, gold furnishings, velvet chairs and marble tables, we felt like we had entered a royal dining hall. It was lovely. Food was served like a basic cafeteria where you pick out your food first and pay later, but the counters were neat and clean. We heard that Plaza Inn was known for its fried chicken, but not wanting to eat only one thing, we all decided to grab a plate of bolognese pasta and pot roast as well. By far, the best tasting dish was the chicken. The skin was wonderfully crisp but in no way oily and the juiciness of the chicken was out of this world. The mashed potatoes that came with the chicken was light and creamy while the green beans were mediocre. As for the pasta, it was barely a step above pasta that you would find in a real cafeteria. The sauce was runny and the flavors were bland. The pot roast was also very dry and left unfinished as well as its tough biscuit. Because we were in Disneyland, we knew the prices were going to be exorbant and Plaza Inn was just that. However, considering how much though they put into the attractions, we thought the same consideration would be seen in their food. Clearly, that step was missed.
