This place is amazing! I have been looking for sewing classes in the area for weeks now, and I’m so glad I found The Makery. Other sewing classes in the area are at the weirdest of times, like random Thursdays from 11am to 3 pm. What working person can make those times?! Well anyway, I greatly appreciate how flexible the scheduling is here. Nearly all the workshops offered are weekday evenings or weekend afternoons, so you can learn to craft around your busy schedule! Also, the classes are super economical for how much you learn and how small the class size is! I took Lisa’s intro to sewing class and it was incredible. There were only three students, so we each got to have individualized attention from Lisa and she answered all of our questions thoughtfully to make sure we were learning and having FUN. I’m so, so glad I found this place. I have signed up for more classes here and can’t wait to create more things at The Makery.

I took the intro to sewing class. It was $ 60 for a 2.5 hour class. It was fantastic! Lisa was the instructor and she was so patient and informative. Her enthusiasm for sewing is infectious and I had a really good time in the class. You could use one of their seeing machines or you could bring your own. The class size is small(three were there and the max is six) so you get lots of individual attention. By the end of the class, I felt like I learned to sew. Before taking the class, I’d never sewed anything beyond a button and after this one class I feel ready to take on small projects to keep practicing and improving my skills. I’ll definitely go back for more classes.

This place was amazing. I took the beginning sewing class and I loved it. It’s super cheap for all that you learn, and the instructor is the sweetest lady ever. I ended up with a super cute wallet, and felt pretty confident about my basic sewing skills! I would return for other classes in the future :)

This is where you will want to go if you want to learn how to sew, crochet, metal stamp(one of my faves), and so much more. I don’t think I am a great student, honestly. So if Lisa can teach me how to sew… you can learn too!

Lisa creates an amazing atmosphere for people eager to learn. She is absolutely the sweetest and her instructors are amazing! Best place to learn new skills and great idea to gift friends + family a class!

Took a Photoshop class here. It was a small class and both the instructor and owner were very friendly, welcoming, and knowledgeable. It was also half the price of other similar classes I found. Looking forward to coming back!

Had a blast today at a arm knitting class. This place is a hidden gem. Great little community shopping alley. Very unique. I will definitely be coming back for more craft classes. Owner and instructor were both fab. Thanks ladies,

I can’t say enough good things about this place! I LOOOOOOOOOOOOVE it! Everything inside is always beautiful and inspiring. There is not a moment when you’re at The Makery when you don’t want to be making something or learning a skill. The classes are super affordable! Since the classes are so small it actually feels like one on one lessons which make the classes even more valuable. I have taken so many classes and I have had fun every single time and have thought it was money well spent. I have also made friends at every class that I have taken. It’s great meeting like-minded people and makes an already fun class even more enjoyable. Some of the classes that I have taken are: crocheting, sewing, candle making, wire jewelry, and cross stitching. There are so many skills to learn and luckily the schedule is always full of new fun things to do. Also, Lisa is the absolute sweetest! She has a unique style and such a passion for spreading her love of crafts. I love her fresh ideas and how she keeps everything so modern. If there is a skill you want to learn, I HIGHLY recommend checking this place out!

Lisa is the best! She’s the owner and she is so creative! She designs child + adult classes. The adult classes range from learning to sew, knit, hand making all kinds of cool things and even a lotion-making workshop! The Makery is so organized and you can tell Lisa loves what she does! Thanks for everything, Lisa! xo

What a darling place! We stumbled upon this gem yesterday. You can tell the owner really cares about crafts and children. They offer classes and workshops, and are planning to have a whole summer series on Tuesdays. They also do birthday parties. Check it out!

A really cool place to sit down and create neat projects and art from kits that are ready and waiting for you in the shop. I couldn’t believe how inexpensive they were. They have a little coffee & snack table and really make you feel welcome to hang out & bring friends. Kinda like color me mine, but an insane amount of variety of crafting projects to choose from. Really beautifully decorated too, relaxing atmosphere. I think you can rent out the place for the afternoon for special parties… which I might do at some point because, again, the price for that is sooo affordable compared to other places. And it’s next door to this really cute handmade shop with cute, quirky stuff to buy for friends & family. Nothing’s overpriced, seriously. Nice change from other boutiques I go to sometimes.

Awesome time at the Valentine Garland workshop! At the end, the owner Lisa gave us each a handcrafted Valentine and a coffee mug of our choice as a gift! Cocktails, treats, and craft for only $ 20! Am going back!
