Probably one of the most underrated burger places in town. You would have never guessed that they serve great burgers and fries since they are cleverly concealed within a Shell gas station. I ordered the bacon double cheeseburger with fries and it was served hot and fresh right away, the fries just hot out of the fryer. They also have great onion rings(way better than Burger King) and battered fried cheese curds(my favorite snack to munch on during the AK State Fair). Anyone looking for good fast food without the confusing long wait of a mess that is McDonald’s should try this place out. The old saying«Appearances can be deceiving» is the perfect way to describe this little hole in the wall.

Possibly one of Anchorages best kept secrets. This place is an absolute dive, little more than a tiny gas station with a random eatery crammed betwixt cardboard boxes and drink coolers. It’s the kind of place you’d expect to find on a rural road in the country somewhere(like Cooper Landing, being run by some grumpy old couple.) Oddly, it’s perched on the busiest intersection in Anchorage at Dimond and Old Seward. So what makes this place so great? Well the food, Duh! I’ve never had a bad meal for starters, which is always good. Tasty juicy burgers, root beer floats, and delicious cheese curds. That’s what I go for, the dam cheese curds that are the food world’s equivalent of crack. Mmmmm. So it was completely by accident the other day that I discovered the the chicken tenders at this shitty little gas station are the THEBEST, moistest, most perfectly season, tender mouth-gastic hand dipped chicken tenders in the universe. Seriously, the best chicken I’ve had in my life. Perhaps those are also crack infused as well? Doubt me, do you? You try them and you’ll see what you’ve been missing your whole life.
