Disclaimer: most of the time when I go to places like this I am with a 6 year old. I babysit my great-niece on the weekends. This skews what I order and of course I never try a beer wine or cocktail, which may make the food better. The service was great. The lady who took our order was an African American woman with a beautiful smile. She was very friendly and helpful and efficient. So the service was great here. The burger was good. I am not a big meat eater and I’m not too fussy about hamburgers. I hate to admit it but unless a hamburger is bad they all taste pretty much alike to me. That’s it I finished the whole thing. I usually don’t finish an entire hamburger so maybe the people who think they are small are correct. The only thing the six-year-old would eat was fries so I mistakenly ordered a bucket of fries. This was way way too many. We probably could have split a small. I thought the fries were pretty good. I got a side of ranch and a cup of melted cheese for dipping for the six-year-old. I don’t even like Ranch but thought the ranch was good. It was too spicy for the child. All in all it wasn’t a bad meal. I just didn’t see anything special about it and in my case it is not a good place to take a child. So I’m sure many other children who are less fussy may like it. My rating is only based on what I thought about the food and service. I would never deduct Stars for what a fussy 6 year old who eats like a bird thought. it sure was not very busy for a weekend at lunch time. The only other time I was there it was very crowded for weekend lunch. It seemed pretty loud for not being very crowded but anytime I take a child anywhere I don’t want a quiet place so I have to worry about keeping the child quiet. If I am with someone who wants to go I will be back but I won’t choose the restaurant again.

Love the Chicago Dogs. Pretty fast service. No Military Discount offered at this time, just something to consider. Generally clean and good food. Parking can be tight but it’s not their fault.

Burger Fi, you are now my go to place for a burger in Anchorage. The taste and quality remind me of good old In-IN-Out. I used to be a straight up Tommy’s, or Arctic Roadrunner fan. I wanted to dislike your establishment, to satisfy my inner snob, but one trip was all it took to convince me. The size of the double burger is just right for me, the meat is well cooked, and the toppings fresh. The buns are fresh, and have a nice flavor. I don’t eat a lot of french fries, and get the chili cheese fries there. They are pretty spot on for me. Price wise, I have no issue. Eating out is expensive in Anchorage. All in all, a solid place to get a great quality burger.

Best Burger I’ve had since I’ve been in Anchorage. With that said I haven’t had one here that met my high expectations for a burger. In the lower 48 my go to would be a Five guys burger. This is the closest I’ve had. I had a build your own and it was outstanding. Their fries are also a perfect compliment. So is it Five Guys? No, but it also isn’t as greasy and it’s what we have locally. They also get Bonus points for serving beer on tap.

They sell burgers as decent sized sliders, not very delicious though and sometimes the textures feel off. Good fries though and they have a nice modern feel to the place which makes sense since it’s new. Kind of spendy.

Guys, if it wasn’t for duck confit(imma classy broad) and tacos con carne asada, I’d be a vegetarian. But I’m weak. So, in order to pretend I’m healthy, I’m always on the look out for a decent veggie burger. BugerFi’s was awesome. A little pricey and service was slow(hence the missing star), but I’m already craving it again. I’m sure whatever sauce they put on it detracts from anything that makes it remotely good for me, but I don’t care. I live in a fantasy world where that sandwich is going to give me a six-pack.

Well, the first time I visited this BURGERFI™, Like many other reviews I have to say this establishment failed to bring the high quality for the high price that I had hoped. Overpriced small burgers and more than a hype than real quality! Service was good, Décor was good but Seats uncomfortable; as with many fast food chains that purposely have this type of chairs so you don’t to spend no more than 15−20min seating. I feel that for the money spend I could have gone to a more upscale restaurant as the bill for each one of us was around $ 17 for a small burger fries and a drink. I agree with many about the size of the burger, not because I’m a big eater, but because of the price of the burger that doesn’t even include fries. The burgers are overpriced. I guess many rave about how great this burgers taste because they have not tried burgers other than the national fast food chains. The bun was flat overloaded with butter(reason why many might find amazing taste, you can put butter in a shoe and it would make it taste great) and the meat was juicy but it lack the taste of a great burger. You could get a better burger at Wendy’s for half the price. The Onion rings and Strawberry lemonade was good, but not magically enough to bring me back again. There are many great burgers in town that might not have the hype or fancy décor but surpasses in taste, and price won’t include the expensive mall rent. Try locally owned great burgers at Rode-runners, Burger Stop, or if you do prefer national chains I recommend the World Double Cheeseburger at Villageinn.

I received a message from customer care. I was misinformed about the secret menu, there is no such thing at BURGERFI, so they get a star back, not only for discontinuing the secret menu, but also for reaching out to me. I will try BURGERFI again, I will probably get a burger next time, seems only fair.

This is the closest thing to In N Out in Alaska. I am not sure why people are complaining about the price of these burgers. Yes, they are smaller than your usual burger, but they are also delicious. So why not spend a few extra dollars for a good burger? Unami Burger in the lower 48 serves even tinier and more expensive burgers! But people still pay for it because it’s good! The patties are well seasoned and cooked perfect. Be sure to order a side of fries with your burger! Love how you are able to sub the buns for lettuce, just like In N Out! You’re also able to customize your burger here! I just had a burger from here yesterday and I’m already craving for more!

Hmmm, I’m trying to think of the positive comments I have for Burger Fi. Ambience is nice. Staff is friendly and the restroom was clean. That being said, I spent $ 20 for a cheeseburger W/bacon, small fry(excessively salted) and $ 5+ shake. I’ve never had a $ 5 shake, let alone almost $ 6. I was hoping to as pleasantly surprised as Vincent at Jack Rabbit Slims but was severely disappointed. The burger was ok. About equivalent to the Roadrunner. The lettuce was flat and I actually thought I had bitten part of the wrapper. With fresh toppings it may been better. The fries were a little over cooked and like I said, too salty. With the pricing as it is for an adequate meal I doubt that I will be back anytime soon.

Anchorage doesn’t have many quality, small chains. And, while most of you don’t know this, BurgerFi is a chain. While this is the first one in Alaska(opened Dec 9, with three more planned for the state) the chain thrives in places like Florida. We were happy to stumble upon it. BurgerFi does a great job at delivering quality burgers solid ingredients and tasty buns. Whether you’re solo, with friends or a large group this place is a fun place to eat and relax in a casual atmosphere. Burgers are the main event and you can get hand-padded, fresh burgers and more toppings than you can fit on it. You’ll have two choices: order a pre-designed burger or design your own. Keep in mind, you can get a wheat or regular bun, too. Two of my favorite things here are the fresh squeezed lemonade(hard to find stuff like this in Alaska) and the hand cut fries(you’ll love them). Hands down, this might be the best burger in Anchorage(non restaurant style).

Well, the first time I visited this BURGERFI™, I said that it was«2⁄10 would not bang»… And I do not take back that sentiment. Although the Breakfast All Day burger was adequately sufficient to my needs, this establishment failed to bring the high quality for the high price that I had hoped had improved since my last 2⁄10 would not bang visit. On a good note, the cashier was a BABE. So there’s an automatic star, since we will probably be getting married eventually since we made eye contact a few times. HILORI. But holy bananas this place is expensive. It’s at least 20 gold for a basic burger/fries/drink meal. You could get a better price in Draenor… And it would probably have warmer fries, too. I almost forgot, the prices on the menu are as edgy as I’ve ever seen. $ 7.87, $ 9.64, $ 11.48 … For the love of gOD, round up(or down). The Breakfast All-day Burger was literally a burger that was burgery. It was TINY. But it was enjoyable. There was nothing bad about a burger with an egg on it. The fries left a lot to be desired, could’ve been more fresh. And maybe a touch saltier(maybe on the level of Dodgers fans every year when the Giants win the World Series). The music was FAR less edgy this time, as I sat and waited for my burger, which came surprisingly fast(that’s what she said. sadly), and jammed out to Taio Cruz singing«Break Your Heart». Later on was«Another One Bites the Dust». The musical choices were far superior to my previous visit, even if I didn’t have a chance to sing love songs to Lori behind the counter. Overall 3⁄10 would not bang like last time but there’s a chance I would.

So me & my kids were at the sears mall. We were hungry. I had a friend of mine recommend BurgerFi, so I went on to Unilocal to read the reviews. It was a half & half. So we decided to try it. I ordered the vegefi burger which is a meatless burger made with a crispy quinoa, fresh veggies & multigrain bun. $ 7.87? It was a medium size burger. I’m not a huge burger fan like the ones you see at Carl’s jr. ITWASDELICIOUS! Probably the best meatless burger I’ve ever tasted. My daughter ordered the BurgerFi burger. Dbl natural angus burger. My daughter loves burgers and was very pleased with the size and taste of her burger. $ 7.27 Now these burgers do not come with fries like you normally would see at other restaurants. So we ordered the urban fries, which is a huge serving of fries seasoned with Parmesan & herb then they drizzle Garlic Aioli sauce over it. We split it between us and 2 little ones and it was a big HIT! The fries come reg. Large or bucket size. We didn’t try the desserts but reviews on their shakes and Malts are pretty good. Plus they also serve crafted beers & wine along with your basic non alcoholic beverages etc: sodas & Juices. All together we paid about $ 31 for the whole meal which to me wasn’t bad at all. We will definitely be going back. If your a fan of huge un-Godly size burgers lol then this isn’t a first choice pick for you but it’s a good place to try if your looking to check out a new place. FYI if you ask for it Olympian style they will wrap your burger I’m lettuce!

I have come out of review retirement for this place. Don’t waste your money and time. What a disappointment!!! McDees has by far better burgers than this place, and I am not even joking. I guess it’s so over priced cause the have to pay the high mall rent and the urban décor. The portions are for the Smurfs !! The meat, the buns, everything’s is substandard to the air of quality you might get from the exterior!!! What a joke!!! I will never set foot in this establishment again. No way!

Decent spot if you’re in the area or at the mall and need a bite. Not worth journeying to in my opinion. I would not be disappointed if I was with a group that wanted to go or was in the area and needed to stop for a meal. But it wouldn’t be my first choice for burgers. The burgs are on the small side but priced like they’re on the big side. If you’re not expecting this you will experience buyers remorse when your tray comes out. They’re tasty but not wowing. I don’t get the brand on the bun. I’m sure that contributes at least $ 2 to the price. The fries are pretty solid. Nothing special but not bad. Served hot which is comforting to me. The concretes(their term for milkshake. Or frozen custard. Or whatever it is.) are probably my favorite offering. I’ve had a few and have been pleased. In order for me to leave satisfied I have to order two burgers and a concrete. Which comes out to about $ 25. Hefty price tag for what you get. And make no mistake; it is fast food. You order at a counter, you are not served, your meal comes on a tray, the noise level, and the extreme lack of privacy are all indicative of a fast food joint.

I ended up here again — a relative really wanted to try it out — they managed to screw up every single portion of the order from the fries to the burgers all the way through. Fries weren’t well done, burger had cheese on it when it shouldn’t have, double wasn’t a double, and so on. I am so done with this place.

Holy polarizing reviews, Batman! Reviews for BurgerFi have been rapid: because Alaska loves a good, new, fresh lower-48 import! And they’ve been rabid: all over the spectrum. I’ve been eager to weigh in, but every time I’ve gone here the lines have been INSANE. And Daddy’s gotta get back to work! Well, I finally got to go. In summary: everyone is right. My main beef(I wish I could see the look on your face right now) has been voiced by many others. The burgers are just too damn small! They are somewhere between a full-size gourmet burger and a slider. Which, I’m not entirely opposed to. However, they are priced more like a full-size burger rather than a slider. I got the brisket burger. It was tasty, but I could’ve probably eaten another one. It costs about $ 11. I got a side of hand cut fries, the smallest size, and they were HUGE! TONS of fries, I couldn’t even finish them, I was all fried out. They were piping hot. The kinds of fries where you feel like your FACE is inside an OVEN(either because you’re checking on your cookies or someone is trying to murder you, you choose) from the piping hot potato energy! This is exactly how fries should be. So hot that they are almost untouchable. Like your plate at a TexMex joint. They were tasty too. Not over-seasoned like seems to be the case at many«fast casual» places that offer fries. I think you can see where I’m going with this. Make the fries portion 25% smaller, make the burger portion 25% larger. Then I think we would have something! I was really impressed by the beer taps, great selection. Not something I’d expect in a mall. Also: I have to call them out on their burgers being«natural». What does that even mean? These burgers are not made with grass fed beef. Does natural mean hormone-free beef? Does it mean free-range beef? It’s really hard to tell. Quite the weasel-word. Borders on making this mistake:

Burger Fi(pronounced Burger FY– like wifi) I will return(just to get that out of the way) I got the double stack, that is a quinoa patty & a sirloin patty. It’s a modestly sized burger, I liked that. The buns are cottonelle soft and branded like I imagine a cow would be. The burger was tasty but the cheese was cheap and didn’t deserve to be on the lovingly made patties. The supreme burger was yummy too, the mushrooms atop those patties were delightful. The fries and onion rings were meh. Maybe they should create a sort of Cajun dip? The chocolate shake was totally delish! I want to try their«all day breakfast burger», try it before me and please write some inspiration to get me over there!

Yummmm! Good food, excellent service, modern vibe = Wonderful visit. First time here and I must say they really serve quality eats. Kind of late when i realized i wanted something else for my fries. asked my boyfriend to get chili and cheese on the side. We weren’t charged for it, really nice lady(too bad, wasnt able to get her name). As for the food, patty was on point, juicy and fresh. Huge serving of fries. Would go back. 4⁄5

I’m surprised by the lower reviews. This place has a fun vibe, unique-ish(and tasty) menu items, upbeat and engaging staff, and draft beer. It’s always nice to find a good, old fashioned, semi-fast food burger joint that’s ready to accommodate to those lunch break drinkers on the go like me. Not that I drink on my lunch breaks from work. Don’t tell my boss that. I’m just saying, I totally could if I wanted to. Way to go, Burger-Fi. Way to go. Some menu highlights: Their veggie burger, «VegeFi» is a quinoa burger, none of that black bean garbage. So much better. They said it had BurgerFi sauce on it… I have no idea what that is, but I liked it. Their Breakfast Something Something Burger(I forget the name) is awesome. In the vein of the Royal Red Robin or whatever Smash Burger calls their equivalent, it has a fried egg and hashbrowns on it. I loved it. Hashbrowns were nice and crispy and the egg was neither under nor overdone. It comes default with a maple sauce, which is probably delish, but… I’m still not sure I’m ready for that kind of experience. I know the bacon/maple syrup combo is super hip lately, but I just can’t bring myself to try it yet. Their Texas Style Chili Dog is decently sized and surprisingly spicy. I guess that’s where the Texas part comes in? I don’t know. I just know it’s awesome. And I’m considering grabbing another one tonight when I run to LensCrafters. Did I mention it’s in the Sears Mall, btw? I work off Old Seward, and I can easily stop in, grab a burger, eat it, and run an errand or two on my lunch break, so that’s a huge plus. I have yet to make a stop into Moose’s Tooth and back and even come close to staying under an hour. In fact, that was why I even stopped into Burger Fi the first time — time constraints. The cashiers have always indicated a good balance of chatty/informative and keeping the line moving forward during busier times. I’m horrible with names, but props to the ginger who seems to be cashiering at least half the times I’m in. Excellent service and menu suggestions. Another cool thing kinda related to service is every time I’ve been there they’ve handed out little samples of their shakes. I think. Some kind of ice-creamy treat. I don’t remember. But, it was free and pretty tasty. I haven’t tried any of their deserts tho other than that. Burger prices run like… I want to say 6ish to 12? Pretty standard for the area. Dogs are cheaper. All are pretty good sized and have high quality, fresh ingredients and toppings. Side items, drinks, and deserts are all a little on the pricey side. That being said, their Parmesan and herb fries are fantab. Ooh, and they have Mexican bottled sodas. Suck it, aspartame and high fructose corn syrup! The seating is fine if you’re not there during a super busy time. I’ve almost always found at least one open table, but one time I did have to sit on one of the benches in the mall walkway between Burger Fi and SteamDot. Fortunately that was a chili dog day instead of a burger. Potential crisis averted.
