Coffee Cats

Love coming in here before work and on my lunch breaks! They make a great latte and the girls are always really friendly. They also carry some amazing baked goods too that are locally made.

This is a nice place that rubs me the wrong way.
What’s best:
Interesting clientele. This is a meeting place for regulars, who are good natured and interesting.
What’s good:
Good quality espresso, Friendly barrista. Nice layout with sofa, settee, nicely laid out tables with stone surfaces. Bathroom is clean. Place is kept warm.
What rubbed me the wrong way:
1) Music was too loud and when I requested they turn it down a little, I was informed that they were supposed to keep it at a particular volume. I was the CUSTOMER, for cryin’ out loud.
2) Internet was low bandwidth. This was my least favorite part.
3) While the espresso was well made, the blend was not my favoirte blend (Kaladi trieste is awesome).

Love their coffee! They can make any coffee any way you want it. The beans they use in their espresso are very mellow, which I like very much. If you like a stronger more bitter espresso roast, ask for an extra shot. That should suffice to slick your desire for the stronger coffee, but the aftertaste is mild instead of being bitter (I happen to like the smoother finish as opposed to an acidic bitter finish). They have a few pastries if you need a quick bite to eat. The place is clean and modern. They feature local artists’ work every month. They have every flavor you could want. There are a fair amount of teas to choose from as well. As a side note, the seating is very comfortable. I highly recommend this coffee joint!

Nice little coffee house that is a little dark in the interior. They serve breakfast sandwiches, cheese along with the traditional coffee house offerings. I came in to help hang my friend Nathan Perry’s art. He does excellent work. If you get time come here, get a cup of joe, and absorb my friend’s beautiful art.

I was up from Seattle working in our Anchorage office for a week. This place was right next door. I was here everyday, sometimes twice a day. Good coffee and friendly help. Very convenient. It’s in a little strip mall that has awesome hanging flower baskets.
