This past April, I was faced with the daunting task of finding my tween birthday gifts. I popped over to Classic Toys and Gifts and as usual, found LOTS of cool things that I wanted. For myself. HA. Flypaper caught my eye and I thought, what the hay, I’m gonna go take a peak. BIG MISTAKE. Yeap, Flypaper had lots of stuff I wanted. Also for myself. I wandered the store for a good long while totally tormented by the sheer coolness of all their stuffs. Seriously badass selection of unique greeting cards, handmade Alaskan jewerly and crafts, and all kinds a funky stuff. I got a really rad paper latern for my daughter’s bedroom. I also got her a very cool tiny handblown window vase for her to put pretty little weeds in. Totally unique. Her favorite gift I got her was a pencil case made of out recycled plastic that had cat butts on it. Go figure.
A bit pricy, but total love for Flypaper.

FlyPaper is a nice gift and greeting card store. They have all types of gifts such as wine racks, vintage style gifts (50’s housewife), jewelry accessories, jewelry, tissue paper, gift wraps, and so on. Check them out for that different hard to find gift in anchorage.

I just popped in the other day, as I constantly drive by this place on Benson (in the same complex as Blockbuster). Unique and artistic gifts, a really great selection of birthday cards (and all-​occasion cards). These are not the same cards you’re going to find at a Hallmark or Target, or maybe even Papyrus.
They have full sets of body products in scents like ginger and rose. Candles, body wash, bath salts, lotion and perfume.
More products: local art, world music cds, bar-​related giftsets, jewelry from local artists, journals, notepads, and more. It’s a really fun store to window-​shop.

I love Flypaper! They have a great selection of cards, and I always go in at Christmas to look for gifts. My favorite item I’ve seen there was a fish bowl inside a decorative painted box. The staff is great, and they will wrap items for free.

If you’re looking for a unique gift, Fly Paper is the place for you! They have so many interesting and unique things in their store that it’s hard to limit yourself to the restrictions of your pocket book. Every single time I’ve been in there I see someting that I fall in love with and start pining for… They don’t necessarily have that special gift for a man, but if you’re shopping for a girlfriend, you’re sure to find that funny or sentimental gift you’re looking for. PLUS, they gift wrap for free! I don’t know about you but FREE is always my kind of price
