Sorry to say that I did not have my Phone with me when I came here. So I did not get any photos. But, it looks as if there is a lot to begin with. A few friends had been here and liked it. So since I was in Anchorage on Saint Pat’s Day. I was out looking for Irish food in the Downtown Area. I had walked by earlier in the Day and seen the sign. About their Irish specials. I went about my business and came back later as I really did not see anything I thought was to my liking. When I got there it was between lunch and dinner. There were a few people in there dining and drinking. I was greeted right away by a very nice girl who was the Bartender and also my server. I ordered the Lamb stew which came with Yukon Mashed Potatoes. It was divine! I know that Hard Rock is not known for their great food. But, this was wonderful! Plus it was only $ 7.00. I had a Hot Tea to drink. It was Chamomile and Honey vanilla, lovely! No, alcohol as I had to work that evening. I also got the Bread Pudding, another Irish specialty they were offering. It was good as well with a true Vanilla Ice Cream that was not the High fructose corn syrup version. I was beyond surprised at good all the food was. The Table next to me said all their items were wonderful as well. The Bathrooms are modern and clean. Except the doors should open outward, You should not have to touch a handle after you have washed your hands. Just a small thing, but it is a new build so they should of thought of that. The shop is also there. Lots of cool items to buy, and not over priced either. I bought a few items including some really cool Pins, those things are wonderful! You know the Hard Rock collector Pins. I will diffidently visit this place again, and hopefully have more time to enjoy it. It was decorated beautifully as well. The glass ceiling over the bar was magnificent! Pieces of Glass hanging down with different colors. It looked like gorgeous Icicles.

In the interest of full disclosure: these guys helped me throw an Official Unilocal event(and they were AWESOME to work with!) As I helped host that event, I did not review it. I came in here for a beer last week and was blown away. The bartender(dude with black bushy beard) was insanely friendly and fast. Blown away. Maybe the best service I’ve had sitting at a bar in all of Anchorage. I should have got his name. And the beer I had(that he suggested) was the Alaskan Brewing Jalepeno Double IPA. I know what you’re thinking«WUT? Alaskan Brewing? That’s for lower 48’ers!». No. I’m probably in the minority, but I’m starting to get burnt out by everyone in town have the same two IPA’s on tap. STAHP. When I first started sipping this beer I thought«pretty good, but, I guess he poured me the regular IPA on accident» Then, about 5 minutes later, my mouth slowly began to warm up. A slow burn, awesome! It was a great beer. I had a date at a concert down the street so I had to leave after only one. I tapped out and… this beer cost me $ 4. WUT?! WHAAAAT? I haven’t seen a $ 4 beer since I lived in Portland. Seems everyone in town now thinks it’s OK to charge 6 bucks for a pint. And the bartender told me this wasn’t even on special. This is the price it always is. Blown away. $ 4IPA = automatic 4 stars in my book.

We already know the food is overpriced but decent but if you’re bad at math don’t believe the suggested tip on the bill because what they’re telling tou is 18% is actually over 20% and the service is good but not that great

Food was pretty tasty and absolutely loved our service. Waitress and staff were very attentive and we greatly appreciated it. Atmosphere was great and will definitely return soon.

Whoa, Big surprise here. The food was good, no waiting for a table, parking was easy and close and the service was excellent! Unusual for a downtown place to eat! I eat out for lunch fairly often-as much as three times a week. So, when my sister came to town, and she loves Hard Rock Café, we had to give the Anchorage addition a try. The result far surpassed my expectations! I like my BBQ like my women. I had the Texan — a bbq sandwich — that was just saucy, spicy and sweet enough to leave a big smile on my face!!! The brownie Sunday was positively huge — and every bite delish!!! Two stars off for having a corporate menu(using a mix in the virgin pina erased all the good will gained from the sandwich), + one star for outstanding customer service by the whole staff.

I have tried this place three times, each time I had a new unfortunate person who fell victim to their inedible swill. Service was HORRIBLE and RUDE! I’ve been to my share of Hard Rock Café and this one is by far the worse! To save yourself from a horrible evening, please don’t go here.

Attended the Official Unilocal Event here and it was great. The brunch specials are spectacular, especially the Cap’n Crunch crusted french toast. They were amazing hosts, and I look forward to bringing the wife to a brunch here.

The extra ranch we ordered at the beginning showed up 40 minutes later when we were leaving… I don’t know WHATS going on with the service & food, but we are SERIOUSLYHITORMISSHERE lately. The featured burger — the«schnitzel burger» was a good idea, but seriously pink and chewy, and a little cold on the inside. Never mind the fact we never got our drink refilled like we asked, the fact the girl dropped a STACKOFPLATES on us — seriously, a stack of plates. Disappointed. I don’t want it to be such a gamble as to whether or not we’re going to have a good experience.

Went here to get drinks and buy souvenirs for my siblings. Didnt bother with the food since HRC food quality hasn’t improved in years. Great cocktails and beer selection.

I lost custody of my favorite Sunday football spot in a breakup, so I had to find a new site to watch the NFL. I ran across an ad announcing that Hard Rock Café televised all the games, so time to give it a shot. I’m not that big of a fan of this chain, although I’ve been to many all over the world. This one really impressed me! I was pleased with the very nice décor, and was very surprised at how roomy and well-furnished it was. The staff was very nice, but there was hardly anyone there. I pointed out to the server that Unilocal was showing the place Closed on Sunday, and this information was relayed to whoever is in charge of their presence. I just had some beer and nachos, a similar order I’ve had at other Hard Rocks. The fare tasted the same as in London, Louisville, and Manhattan. I don’t come here for the food, but I will come here for the service, atmosphere, and football.

Average chain restaurant food here, tourist town prices. Not really worth the money, but there is a massive lack of options in this part of town. It’s good to see a menu offer something besides reindeer sausage and seafood for a change. The customer service was excellent, which is always a plus. I ordered the chicken strips, fries and a tea. Decent portion size on the strips, which were nice and crispy, fried and coated in fine panko. The French fry portion was small, but the seasoning was good. 4 strips, fries and drink $ 21. I would come back just because the variety in the immediate area is non existant.

Alright, so maybe I’m bias because I love me some Hardrock, but I really have nothing bad to say! We had excellent service. The manager came over and introduced herself and made sure we were taken care of. The waitress was on point. I have been to several Hardrocks and this one was pretty good. The food was good, we didn’t have to wait long at all. If you spend over $ 30 you get a glass that says Anchorage Alaska on it. They gave us 2 =) I have read some pretty bad reviews, maybe they changed management? We went on a Tuesday afternoon and it was not to busy. Bathroom was clean, restaurant was clean.

I thought I was safe ordering a burger for lunch — you can’t mess up on a burger, right? WRONG! I ordered the BBQ bacon burger. I couldn’t even taste the sauce, the bacon was limp, and the burger patty was black and hard to chew. The fries were okay — some tasted fresh and some pieces tasted a little old. I enjoyed the orange dipping sauce even though it was slightly too salty. The décor is nice and our server checked on us frequently despite spilling out waters initially.

We went here during the Iditarod«faux» start so it was packed with a 30 – 40 min wait. Summary sentence: It’s pretty typical upper-end bar food. I had the Salmon Caesar Salad. The salad was quite good. My only complaint on this place is that the service is pretty slow. It doesn’t seem to be the waiter’s fault; they just seem to be understaffed for the number of tables they have to serve. I hope the management can fix that. Our waiter was actually really cool and nice. He just seemed to be running around a little crazy. Overall atmosphere was great. Nice building and interior. I never made it upstairs but I see on other reviews now it’s a cool place to check-out.

Sigh… I am usually known for being generous with my stars but oh man I don’t even know where to begin. I decided to give this place a second chance. Maybe things would be much better than last time? Nope. We walked in and the host was very friendly and this was a plus. It wasn’t crowded at all so we were seated right away. I thought«awesome!»? Everything but. Our waitress was pretty nice at first, but with an empty bar we were all surprised the drinks took sooooo long to get to the table. Our friends had never been here so we mostly came here for them. Let’s just say the appetizer arrived before the drinks. Only my tea made it, and even my friend who didn’t order an alcoholic beverage had to wait quite a bit. So picture this, 4 people sitting at the table, one tea, one appetizer and no appetizer plates. The appetizer was the spinach and artichoke dip. The chips were completely stale and all we could do was stare at each other because as we were chewing I guess we all questioned whether they were stale or just made that way. The unanimous conclusion; stale. When the waitress arrived and we told her about it she seemed annoyed by our complaint; but brought chips. The chips weren’t any better. Anyhow for dinner I ordered the fajitas. It’s a small amount of meat top a deceiving mound of peppers and onions. My guacamole was browning, the tomatoes looked like when tomatoes look when they’ve been sitting out too long. By the time the fajita meat arrived, my actual fajitas were cold. Everyone was eating at a different time and our waitress just seemed annoyed. She livened up a bit towards the end though. We appreciate that they tried to correct the situation with our food, but it still didn’t come out good. The quality of food is just not there. Dinner was just mediocre at best. You do not get your money’s worth here. It is severely overpriced in our opinion and we decided none of us cared to come back here unless someone is visiting and they insist on it. We were all pretty unhappy with our food. Our friend thought his mashed potato tasted like the powdered kind and the vegetables tasted like the frozen vegetable blend. My husband enjoyed his Caesar salad with Salmon but that was about it. The was probably the only decent meal. And even then, his salmon had lots of bones so he was akways picking them out. My fajitas were just ridiculous for the price. Honestly I wouldn’t come here for dinner or food in general. Drinks? Yes! They make wonderful drinks but food? Nope. The ambiance and music are great, but I wish the food could back this up. It just cant. $ 65 felt like a punch in the gut considering I can get much better quality food elsewhere within a one mile radius. The only other plus thing was that this place was nicely kept, clean, and the bathrooms were also clean. Hopefully you’ll have a much better dining experience, but I would just go for drinks and dessert. Two trips are enough for me. Your wallet will thank you! ***Update: My husband’s salad ended up not agreeing with him ATALL. You know, that Caesar salad with Salmon I mentioned earlier that was decent? Yes, that very one, and he spent all night pretty miserable***. Not cool.

While I don’t typically find myself supporting chain restaurants when I’m traveling and trying to discover local hot spots in new-to-me cities, I happened upon this shiny new Hard Rock in Anchorage and decided to check it out. The entry is divided into the restaurant sort of straight ahead and a small retail space to your left. In the shop you’ll find your assortment of Hard Rock gifts and collectibles like shot glasses, bandanas, shirts, hats, keychains, etc. The restaurant itself is quite gorgeous. The ceiling has shards of glass resembling ice. Sort of an homage to Alaska and icebergs? But backlit with different colored lights and looking pretty rock n roll. The bar takes up a major part of the restaurant and it’s U shape allows for tons of people to sit, hangout, engage with friends or talk to bar staff. Really cool layout and smart design. The dining area is sort of typical — you’ve got tables, you’ve got booths, etc. And of course the walls are adorned with rock n’ roll memorabilia, TVs playing music videos, etc. What’s REALLY cool though is that there’s an almost hidden upstairs area. And it’s a friggin’ venue! There’s a separate bar, a big expansive room(could be for dancing, could be for dining, etc) and a stage for actual live performances. Very very cool for private events, weddings, company parties, birthdays, etc. Food has some local focus, some local beer, but in true Hard Rock fashion, it’s typical pub fare. Burgers, salads, fries, sandwiches, and so on. Definitely a cool spot to check out if you haven’t been. That upstairs area… wow.

So bad. Just so so bad. We went on Halloween and the place was a ghost town. Since everyone was dressed up, we saw all the staff pose for a picture. So we know there were 25 plus staff in house. With only 4 other tables of customers, you’d figure service would be lightening fast. We sat at the bar and ordered drinks and apps. We noticed a family that was seated at a table where everyone had there food but one person. She didn’t get her food until about 30 minutes later. Our drinks alone took 15 minutes, even though there was only 2 other people at the bar. Both of us had foreign objects floating in our drinks. My cucumber margarita was good, but it was mostly ice, as was my hubby’s drink. And the drinks are SMALL. For 12 bucks, I expected more. The apps took about another 15 minutes, which is again, inexplicable given the fact there were no customers. I mean really, how long to crappy crappy CRAPPY nachos take? And the app combo we got was mostly GROSS. The chicken fingers were amazing though, very tender and tasty. Everything else was just meh or gross. If you want crappy food but better atmosphere and much better value tasty drinks, go to the Rock. The Rock also has crappy food, but at least the atmosphere and drinks are better. Don’t bother with the Hard Rock. Big waste of money.

First time I went to Hard Rock and the ambiant noise was louder than the music. Must be an Alaska thing. Or the acoustics of the building is just bad Waiters are nice enough, but not as enthusiastic as their colleagues elsewhere. Food is as always great, music tonight took me back to the 90’s.(Good thing). Could have done without the chatter though. The kicker came when the bill arrived. A seven dollar tip on 35 dollar warrents a small gesture of appreciation, don’t you think? All we got was a have a good one. And off he went Something in the water? Strange because when i bought a shot glass the lady in the store she was very friendly. In short a nice HRC but not as nice place as the other Hard Rocks I visited.
