A true Anchorage gem. By far the best fly shop in Alaska. True and honest fishing advice with a superior selection of fishing rods, apparel and flys needed to fish in Alaskan waters not somewhere outside of Alaska waters.
Having fly fished for over 30 yrs and a new comer to Alaska — I have truly enjoyed this shop — with an owner and staff who’s priority is about successful fishing not sales. This shop rivals most I have visited in lower 48, Canada and Europe.
Visit — I promise you will not be disappointed !!
Oh and if you have time try one of his fly tying, casting or two handed fly casting classes.

My favorite place to buy all things fly fishing in Anchorage. The owner (Dennis) knows pretty much everything about fly fishing and Alaska. He also has a black lab that always wags his tail when you walk into the shop.
Sage, Loomis? Get ‘em. Fancy reels that cost more than the GDP of Bolivia? Yep, got them too. Hand tied flies that will catch lots of big trout and salmon in Alaska waters? Yep, got a nice big collection of them.
The Village Inn is right next door if you are hungry. Pretty decent breakfast (skillets are my favorite).
