Kind of a hole in the wall place located next to Taco Bell. Mom and pop run restaurant. They are very friendly folks, with good food. I had the spicy phở mixed combo and it was really good. Vietnamese is good simple healthy ingredients and ideal for people looking for a quick, tasty and healthy meal. Highly recommend this place for phở!

Great phở! Our favorite local spot. Wish they served beer and wine but still a great restaurant. Always fast service

The first thing to mention about this place is that it is OPENSUNDAYS, which a lot of Thai/Vietnamese places are not. I know this place as Phở Vietnam 3, a walk-in right next to a Taco drive-through. There is ample parking in the strip mall lot. The tables are well laid out, the single lockable bathroom is clean. There are other restaurants is separate parts of town, Phở Vietnam and Phở Vietnam 2. I –think– they are commonly owned and separately run places. One is not exactly like another. This place offers Thai and Vietnamese food. I’ve had Phở there once and Thai curries there several times. the Penang curry was tasty and came with big cooked through chunks of pineapple. The other curries I’ve had there were tasty and filling. If you ask for brown rice with your meal instead of white they have it for $ 2– additional charge.

Great phở here! However my favorite is the vermicelli bowls. They are fresh light and flavorful. I ordered the duck bamboo once however and was a bit disappointed. Like any restaurant not every item is amazing. I frequent here a lot ever since a poor experience at a competing phở restaurant. Thanks guys keep it up!

My favorite thing here is the Chicken Red Curry with Rice. It’s always consistent and not too spicy unless you ask otherwise. My go to spot for red curry!

I’ve eaten phở at a few places around Anchorage, and this place is by far my favorite. The prices are good, the portions are decent, and the food is phenomenal. Everything is always really fresh, from the meat to the veggies used. The waitresses tend to be a little quiet and shy, but are always courteous and pleasant. Some of the other reviewers say the food isn’t very authentic, but judging by the number of Asian clientele regularly there I’d say it probably is. They serve both Vietnamese and Thai food. The Thai food is good, but the Vietnamese food steals the show. I actually go here at least twice a month I love it so much. I highly recommend this place!

With the traffic in and out of this place, I expected to see a few more reviews than the current five. So, I decided it must be done. Here’re my $.02. When you are trying to go out to eat with a ravenous, busy [read: grabby] tot, places begin to fall into a couple of categories: places where it’s, we’ll, *challenging* to have a little one in tow, and places where it is not. Phở Vietnam #3 is one of the latter, and is a good solid neighborhood pick for basic comfort-food grade curries, spicy stir fry veggies, glass noodle and oxtail soup and other savory broth-type steaming bowls of goodness. Comfort food might not be «authentic» or cool enough for a foodie at a 3-star Michelin restaurant, but most of us have a few favorite hole in the wall places. This is now one of ours. Out on a walk one evening with Squawky Tot in tow, we came upon this little spot in the strip mall, gave it a try and were super happy we did. The feel inside is bright and simple, quiet but busy. There is constant traffic in and out of the place, but the server, Linda, is fast and efficient while friendly and helpful for figuring out what you want to eat. She has no problem with substitutions, which is great when picky eaters(or people with certain cravings) come along. :) Prices are on par with other Thai spots in Anchortown. And the tables are packed with spoons, straws, chopsticks, little bowls — everything a busy tot could want to keep busy with until the food comes. And, bonus points, the food comes quickly. A solid spot to warm up with solid, comforting spicy food.

Just like the midtown location, I like this place. Perfectly seasoned broth. Don’t sit near the door on a cold day though. Lots of take out orders are fulfilled here and the constant in and out causes a really cold draft.

The Phở is just fine and the sandwich is one of the best in town(the orignal Phở Vietnam is the only better one that immediately comes to mind.) Don’t get the Pad Thai, go for stir fry noodles instead.

If you like standard Chinese food and are not looking for good Vietnamese or Thai food go here. What they are cooking is not Vietnamese food despite what the sign says.
