After numerous changes to management and staff over the years, this Taco Bell has improved in terms of service and quality of food. The storefront is currently going through a construction-type remodeling in the front and at first glance, I thought the place was temporarily closed and I almost missed the Open sign since it was hidden behind the scaffolding and the tarps. This particular Taco Bell is located at the corner of Dimond and Jewel Lake in a tiny strip mall next to Great AK Pizza Co. and True Value Hardware. The seating area is significantly smaller than some of the other locations in town which makes orders to-go a better option for getting food. I was greeted by the cashier and he quickly took my order. The wait was only a few minutes despite the large rush of orders from the drive-thru and working regulars nearby stopping in for lunch. Being that this is Taco Bell, the food is pretty much the same as in all other locations, but this review focuses on the taste and overall service from the place. I ordered one of their promotional cheesy double beef burrito box meals which also included a Doritos Taco and a regular taco along with a drink. The burrito had spicy Fritos to add crunch along with a decent amount of beef and melted cheese. It came up to a very reasonable price at $ 7.00 for the amount of food served. Typical fare no matter what you order on the menu although everything was hot and fresh compared to the last time. My previous visit was less than ideal regarding food and service, but like I’ve stated in past reviews, I’m always willing to give a place a second chance especially when I’m hungry and not sure what to eat for lunch. With a positive experience from my most recent visit, this place is a viable option if you don’t feel like breaking the bank for a quick lunch.

I’ve eaten the Mexican Pizza from Taco bell and never had one that bad before. It tasted like mold. This store also shows signs of unclean practices as this photo demonstrates. After the detritus was finally removed, they brought out more to set on the counter. At the least, it was unpleasant to look at while we ate. I almost forgot to mention the small lake we skidded through at the doorway.

Very good Mexican food, reasonably priced and fair quantities. Try the«beefy 5 layer burrito» you will not be disappointed.
