Found a table outside on the patio waited 15minutes, no service so we went into the bar and found 2 seats. Waited another 10 minutes till our drink order was taken(a glass of wine and whiskey sour) The bartender was going on about APD was around busting place for not checking ids as he checked others around us .but never asked for ours. It took him literally 20 minutes to make a whiskey sour, I am not exaggerating! We put our appetizer order in bacon macncheese, it came out timely and was fantastic. The fish and chips was bland and the fries limp and boring. The butter burger was the same. Bland and boring with dull limp fries.:(to bad for this place, hope the can get it together. The bartenders need to get it together, I don’t care how technical and pretty you make your drinks it’s all about service. I can vouch for this because I was a bartender all through college at an upscale restaurant.

A nice little café in a mall downtown on 4th Ave. Sort of a hole in the wall location but worth taking the time to find. They have a varied menu with sandwiches and brunch type items with a special or two daily. They make their eggs Benedict with a buttermilk biscuit and salmon cakes. The salmon cakes were delicious and the eggs poached perfectly! Good hollandaise sauce and a nice salad of mixed greens made a great late breakfast. They have a nice selection of sandwiches made with tasty fresh bread, they usually come with a small side salad and some chips(Alaskan chips of course). They serve their drinks in Mason jars — the sweet tee was pretty good, but please, can’t you put a little ice in the«ice water?» Nice laid back atmosphere, locally owned. I am looking forward to going back to try a few more items from their menu. If you are looking for a tasty bite downtown, look for South in the blue mall on 4th Ave… across from the Army-Navy store.

Came here for lunch with another Unilocal friend. I got Eggs Benedict made with Buttermilk biscuits and Salmon Cakes. The eggs were cooked perfectly, and the salmon was wonderful. It came with a fresh salad that had wonderful dressing. A very filling and good meal. My friend got the special which was pulled pork sandwich. Which he said was very good. Water and the Cole slaw were served in these really cute mason jars. I would defiantly go back and i would order the same thing because, it was great!

Although it’s a cute little restaurant downtown, the food for the price is mediocre. I got the banana foster french toast, which tasted good, but it was only one piece of french toast with nothing else for $ 9. The«skillet» had okay potatoes, an undercooked egg, dry biscuit, and 2 slices of overcooked thin bacon. The sweet tea wasn’t anything to write home about either.

The CHICKENBISCUIT is off the hook. Seriously, I adore a good Chik-Fil-A biscuit, and since that will never ever come to Anchorage, I am more than happy to get my fix here.
