Starbucks

By far the worst Starbucks I’ve gone to, it’s on my way to work and for one the drive thru line is slower than going in side. And once you get your drink it’s almost always wrong or tastes like completely shit and on top of that whoever is taking my order is usually an entitled bitch. I used to stop by every morning but when 3 days of the 5 days I stop there are the wrong order I’m fucking over it. Yes they’ll remake it for you for free but I’m not leaving my fucking job so these morons can remake my iced coffee which is the easiest drink to make. It’s cold drip coffee cream and sugar.

Alaska’s long winter nights paired with my insomnia are no friend of mine so I am on a constant quest for caffeine. So in my journey to deal with these factors after a bad night sleep, I happened to have decided to stop by Starbucks again on my way to work so I didn’t fall asleep at my desk. Given my eyes probably needed to be held up by toothpicks I know I would be getting my green tea frappucino again with coconut milk and no whip.
And even though this particular location of Starbucks is down the street from where I work, it was my first visit there. After my less than satisfactory visit at the Tudor location this past weekend there was no way I was going to try my luck there again. Even if it was a different time of day. I just didn’t have 45 minutes to spare «what if» it happened again.
I swung through the drive through with only one car in front of me who happened to just be pulling up to the window. I inched up to the speaker and was asked within literally seconds what I wanted. «Tall green tea frappé with coconut milk and no whip». The help got stuck on the no whip but when I repeated it I was asked to pull forward. As I did so I paid quickly and was on my way. Time from beginning to end? Less than two minutes.
Score! This is really the way a Starbucks should be run. My order was correct, the staff was friendly and efficient and I was on my way in less than 5 minutes. Will definitely be visiting this location again on my quest for caffeine.

Your over priced coffee taste like absolute shit and you didn’t fill cup all the way… When I asked them to fill it more the 2^nd bitch stuck it under water faucet.

I just wanted to add my insight in regards to Barry S. review. I like this location and their wi-​fi is fast and efficient for studying. That being said, the reason I gave this place two stars was because of an employee named Chelsea. I ordered a strawberry acai refresher that the cashier asked her to make and she deliberately skipped over my order to prepare the customers orders behind me. The cashier pointed out that my order was first so Chelsea proceeded to make my order and stopped a few seconds later. The cashier saw that and she was nice enough to finish preparing my drink for me. Chelsea was so unprofessional and rude. I held my tongue because of the friendliness of the cashier, but I just want to give everyone the heads-​up on this specific employee.

«Chelsey» the 17yo «barista» is a loud obnoxious twirp. While I waited for my order, she held a conversation with a friend via her headset, laughing (unbelievably loud) the entire time. She REALLY rubbed me the wrong way. The floor was dirty and ultimately the cappuccino was pathetic. Don’t stop here unless you have no other choice. There’s a Kaladi just down the road.

Stop going here. Nothing else is needed in this review.

Since this is the closest coffee shop to my house I often walk there with my kids to get out of the house briefly. The staff is always friendly and efficient, and rarely gets an order wrong. The seating area is always clean and inviting, and there is comfortable outside seating in the summer.
The only real problem is I’m not a huge fan of Starbucks coffee, it always tastes a little burnt to me, and the insane amount of flavored lattes, mochas, and «fraps» is a bit off putting.
This location is nice though, and as long as I live, nearby I’ll probably continue coming here.

Always fast in the drive thru line and great customer service. Clean as usual for Starbucks, and well stocked, clean bathrooms.
Not a ton of sitting room in here but it’s plenty during a non-​rush time.

Great atmosphere and very friendly staff. The drive-​thru can get backed up at peak hours but they do a great job moving through it as fast as possible. The inside has comfy chairs that make you want to just fall right into them with a cup of coffee and a good book. This is a great place to get some work done as it is quiet and just an all around feel-​good place. I really enjoy this location as it is convenient for my drive into the office. Would definitely stop in if you are in the area.

It’s a Starbucks. It’s like every other Starbucks in terms of what you get. Quite a line at the drive-​thru here in the mornings. But the staff are quick and efficient and the line moves quickly. So never fear, you can get your over-​priced coffee drink here without too much of a wait.

This is a very busy starbucks. The baristas are very quick.

I generally have been happy with this Starbucks. HOWEVER They allow their employees to violate the no smoking next to an entry door. So when you use the drive thru you see them and if you have your air on the smoke comes into your car! Total appetite killer! But you can’t always back out of the drive drive thru.

Very friendly staff and lots of room to enjoy your coffee and get some work done.

This place turned me into a Starbucks lover today. Grande peppermint white chocolate mocha. Friendly employees. Clean facility. Free internet. What more could a guy ask for?
I even downloaded the app and gonna get crackin on my Rewards!

Went to this location every morning for two weeks at 7:30 am, every time it was under staffed. Drive thru and inside had a line, with just a few workers, staff was nice, just need more workers during peak hours.

Nice place, just a normal Starbucks. The expresso drinks are good but the coffee is horrible it tastes like it has been sitting there for weeks. Instead of coffee, next time I would get an Americano.

Good coffee but SLOW SERVICE! Waited almost twenty minutes for my latte, not sure why… There were five employees behind the counter, but only one was making beverages. The other four were laughing, joking and carrying on conversations with one another. It was strange and bewildering, as the patrons looked at one another and wondered why the service was so poor. Was good fast and friendly. I wish one or all the Starbucks would get a clover up here. I had some in OR and Cal its amazing for black coffee drinkers!

One of the few Starbucks in Anchorage (or Alaska for that matter), this one is my «neighborhood» store when i’m in town. The staff are generally attentive and polite, but I never get the feeling that they do anything to really win me over, «go the extra mile» if you read me.
There is a small amount of seating inside, which is usually packed with neighborhood people meeting, informal business meetings and people studying by the fire. Although I’ve never used it, the drive-​through seems to be a popular attraction to this mid-​town caffeine shack.
As a former long-​time Starbucks employee (and Coffee Master I might add!), I find that I can be a little more critical about what makes a good Starbucks store, so take my review with a grain of salt.
Adam’s final thoughts: I find this place to be a solid 3 stars. Good neighborhood spot to get your coffee, probably with a smile, and relax by the fireplace.

The only ‘Bucks worth going to in Anchorage.
This place has a warm and cozy feel, due mainly to the cushy chairs and fireplace. Yep, this place has a fireplace for crying out loud. Nice.
Lastly, the coffee shop looks like its own building, despite being on the end of a chain of stores. Like I said, the only ‘Bucks really worth getting excited about in Anchorage.
