This place is not, I repeat, NOT in a gas station. It shares a parking lot with one, yes, but that’s about it. If I could give it 10 stars, I would. Great, authentic Mexican food. I’ve been on a 10 year quest to find a torta as good as what I had regularly when we lived in Houston. This place has it. Delicious, fresh, light and crispy chips. The two salsas they bring to the table hit the spot, and there are 5 – 6 more to try on the salsa bar. Prices are reasonable. Check it out!

Excellent food, great service and a good salsa bar. Prices are also very reasonable. Too bad we discovered it passing through. Next time we are in the area we will definitely be back.

First time eating here and I was very impressed. I have expensive taste buds because I’m use to eating in Atlanta but this was very good. It’s a family ran restaurant and a lot of the staff came up and checked to see how I was doing. Next time I’m in town I will definitely be visiting this place. I’ll give it an A+ for a non-chain restaurant. And if you’re a guy like me that doesn’t drink soda unless it served in a bottle then you’re in luck. They have 500 ml BOTTLEDCOKE!!!

Torta carnitas and el best burrito are our favorites. Great service. Nice selections. Mexican sodas with real sugar. Don’t let the location turn you off. It is next to a gas station. They never seem to be on a wait!

Came here because of the other reviews — would not have stopped based on location or outside appearance. We were en route from Durham to Atlanta and looking for dinner but tired of fast food. This place was outstanding. Cozy and welcoming –wonderful wait staff and food to die for. I had the shrimp fajitas — lots of juicy shrimp. Others had enchiladas and tacos — all full of high quality meat, chicken and shrimp and freshly made — but not a long wait at all.. $ 50 for dinner for 4 people was also very reasonable. We will be back for sure.

Don’t let the outside looks be deceiving! It’s located next to a gas station which almost turned my husband and I away, but boy are we glad we have it a chance! The food, as well as the cleanliness and friendliness of the staff was EXCELLENT! I had the vegetarian quesadilla and my husband tried a variety of tacos that we’re all very good. They have a salsa bar that was very tasty. We will definitely be back! It’s a diamond in the rough!

Best salsa I’ve ever had. Fast, great service. Flavors are authentic. You will not be disappointed, don’t be fooled by the fact it is connected to a gas station. This is our favorite Mexican restaurant. We always take visitors here and they end up loving it too!

Walked in and sat down. Waiter was really nice, brought chips and salsa, and took my order. Got horchata and two small burritos with chicken and pork with quest and retried beans(dinner portion). Fan freakin tastic! I would come here every day if I could.

At first, I was hesitant, I mean, gas station Mexican food! But my friend took me one day for lunch and to my surprise, it was really good! I haven’t been back, but I would definitely recommend it, the tacos are good, I haven’t tried anything else but its really clean and the service is quick and good.

I would have given 5 stars but they DONOTTAKEAMEX. Servers take note, I tip better when I can use my business amex. Don’t make me pull out my personal visa. Food is great. Service is very good. This place is surprisingly part of a C-store. Don’t let that stop you, unless you prefer amex.

Was in town on business on a Monday night and none of the local BBQ restaurants were open so I found this place on Unilocal and decided to try them out and am so happy I did. It was relatively slow but I was greeted immediately and served hot chips and excellent salsa. The salsa bar had a few other salsas I tried and all were excellent with their own distinct flavor and heat levels. As I read through the menu I received my beer and some of the best guacamole I have had. I ordered Shrimp in a Creamed Chipotle sauce and it was amazing. The owners came out and we talked about their restaurant and their specials and they were so personable. I will try to eat here whenever I am in town and grabbed a couple of menus to share with others that love Mexican food like I do. The local company I visited were not aware of them so I left a menu there and hope they will support them as well. In short Excellent Real Mexican food … Just like when I travel south of the border.

The food and service is absolutely great here. Portions are plentiful! My husband and I just can’t say anything bad. The restaurant itself is small, clean, tastefully decorated, and is next to a nice gas station. When we first started coming here, we couldn’t believe this place was located next to a gas station but it doesn’t matter. The place is awesome! Our little secret Place to eat!!! We will keep going back!!!

Stopped in while in town on business. Slow night so not sure what to expect. Was met at the door with friendly greeting. Chips were fresh and came with three different salsas. Ordered the Shrimp Fajitas and they were outstanding!

Very good and authentic. Some of the best lengua(cow tongue) tacos I’ve ever eaten. Horchata is pretty good and available every day. Salsas in the salsa bar are very good and for a small restaurant they have a very large selection of beer abailable.

Have been here a few times, decent food. More«authentic» than other Mexican food in town. However our last and probably final experience, we decided to use a Restaurant Certificate we had purchased. As soon as we presented it, the owner/lady who was also our server got frustrated and loud saying they didn’t take those any more. Her attitude and customer service at this point really went down hill. I even told her we had purchased 2 of those certificates and all she could say was too bad. Even with that, I still left more than a 20% tip… my mistake. She did give a discount but wow, poor attitude.

Really good Mexican… Much more authentic than most. I’m just not able to rate it a five given that it’s in the same building with a modern gas station… I know this is weird, but an old gas station is ok, a current station is not.

I was definitely surprised when I found this little place next to the gas station, but man was it great! Very friendly staff, great food, and terrific prices. They have beer and margaritas, just don’t try to go for drinks on a Sunday. Look forward to going back on Tuesday for 99 cent tacos!

Stopped here for lunch while travelling. Was a little unsure at first, as it’s housed right next to a gas/C-store, but there were plenty of cars parked in front, so… Restaurant was bright and clean. I ordered a ham torta, and a lengua taco and beef taco. Tacos were good, torta was really tasty, if a bit less ham than I’d have liked. Bread was soft and sweet. I didn’t go away hungry. Off the beaten path by a couple of blocks, but worth the search.
