Stopped in for lunch with a friend for the buffet. As far the décor is concerned, wow it’s dark in here! They could use a facelift for sure. As far as the food is concerned it was just okay. I’m sure it’s more authentic than most Chinese you’ll find in this area. But not totally my cup of tea. There were only maybe 20 options and nothing«American». If you need a Chinese fix I would say order to go. The sweet & sour chicken was pretty good, skip the crab ragoons, egg rolls were excellent, & the broccoli chicken was good(broccoli was perfectly done). Pro tip: If you want steamed rice you have to ask for it.

So good! And cheap if it’s not on the menu they will make it for you! I get carry out and the portions or huge for the price. Give it a try!

I drove into the parking lot and was taken back in time. A-frame building, lettering on the sign, it was the 1970s again. I stepped into the restaurant, and it was the same. This place had a very old-school Chinese Restaurant look. I decided to try the buffet. I was disappointed to not see steamed rice, but some was quickly brought to my table. The management explained that they don’t put steamed rice on the buffet because it doesn’t keep well – and they’re right. I was probably the only white boy in the place who was eating steamed rice, so better I got it fresh. At first, I was leery of what I would have, the buffet was small, but there wasn’t anything blatantly non-Chinese on it. So I took a few different dishes and went to my table. That was when I was amazed. The food had real wok hay!(That’s basically«wok breath» or «wok flavor».) There is this trait that food gets when it’s cooked in a very traditional Chinese way in a wok. Likewise, the seasoning of everything was very Guandong(Cantonese) – old style. Lots of different flavors but very delicate touch. Finaly, the chicken was real velvet chicken. Everything was quite good. Vegetables were not overcooked or tough. Even the sweet and sour was old school(«white» not«red»). I was pleasantly surprised and intend to go back.

More traditional than most buffets. Wonderful egg rolls. Not the best crab rangoons though. Very nice people. Good buffet prices, too.

The building is scary from the outside and the décor inside is frightful, but the food here is good! The buffet is tiny, but the food is excellent! Real eggrolls, not the nasty kind with the rice paper… Real fried rice… Even egg foo young. Two adults had the buffet and the bill was less than $ 17. This place is way better than the Great Wall of China. Some tables were ordering off the menu, I’ll have to try that next time.

our family of 5 had the lunch buffet and it was typical average American Chinese food. The preferred dishes were the egg rolls, the sweet and sour chicken, the chicken and broccoli in white sauce. the owner was very nice as well.

You will not find better Chinese food. Do yourself a favor and eat here! Personal favorites: buffet, eggrolls, roast pork lo mein, chicken lo mein, sizzling steak, etc etc etc. Too good. Best quality and cost in Anderson.

I got the buffet here and everything just tasted old like it had been sitting out all day. I was definitely disappointed in the quality and selection of food and would not come back.

If you want a true Chinese meal that is NOT the same pre-packaged«Chinese» found in so many«Chinese» restaurants, then you must try the Wing On Inn. The Wing On Inn has been in Anderson for over 30 years, and serves true unique recipes. Hands down they have t-h-e b-e-s-t egg drop soup I’ve ever eaten. I finally quit trying to eat it anywhere else(and I don’t even live nearby) because it simply did not measure up to the Wing On’s recipe. Their egg rolls are hot crisp and fluffy, and oh my gosh… their fried rice is one of a kind! I had not had the opportunity to dine there in 23 years and just visited with my husband. Same people, same menu, same excellent service, and same incredible unique flavor. I was literally purring with delight when I left! My husband said it was by far the best Chinese he’d ever had in his 50 years. The menu items… be prepared to take a huge portion home with you. They don’t skimp on portions! Now… don’t expect glitz. It’s not fancy, and the building and interior are pretty worn and dated. But don’t let that deter you. Finally, the price. The fact that it has hardly increased in 23 years nearly blew me away. They are charging about HALF of what the meals are worth. Definitely a must have for the Chinese food lover!

Wing On Inn has been a staple Chinese restaurant in Anderson, ran by the same family for the past 20 or so years. Their lunch buffet is a steal being around $ 4 with dinner being only $ 6. The buffet table is always being filled with food fresh from the kitchen. Also, you have the option of ordering an entrée from their extensive menu, my personal favorite is the Wing On Sizzling Steak which is a New York Strip steak grilled and served on a fire-hot plate with mushrooms, broccoli, snow peas, and a brown sauce. Most of these entrees aren’t more than $ 10 and for lunch, everything is $ 4 – 5. Wing On Inn is the best Chinese restaurant in Anderson.
