I went to the salon looking for a haircut with shape and style. The stylist listened and did a very good job. I left with a manageable haircut. I was not impressed with the hair wash technique. At one point i thought i was going to get soaked. As it was the spray from the hair washing did sprinkle me. I was not given a cape to wear until after my hair was washed. The reason there are 2 stars is because the salon(at the Burlington mall) needs work. It was messy and felt dirty. The front desk staff was not professional and carried on personal conversations while I was checking in and out. Other stylists in the salon were not professional. They were sitting in client chairs and joking around. Very unprofessional. Given the price of the service I expected a more professional atmosphere. The salon itself needs a makeover and the staff needs work on customer service.

Julie is fabulous. Fun but professional. Good price given the quality of the haircut and overall experience. I’ll be back!

Back in May, I came here to have my hair done for my friend’s wedding since I was a bridesmaid and this is where the wedding party came to have their hair done. I requested a blow out and the stylist that was assigned to me did not seem happy to see me at all… Maybe she was having a bad day? Anyway, I requested that she blow my hair out to look nice with curls since I’m going to be a bridesmaid. I’ve made this request before at other salons and have always had great styles. Full disclosure: I have *very* easy hair to work with — it holds a curl no problem. She starts blow drying my hair and I realized that barely any hair product was used, so I say, «would you mind making sure that you add some product in my hair that will keep it from frizzing?» And her response, in a grumpy tone is, «well, I already added product but ok, what product would you like me to add? Mousse?» Excuse me? First of all, I don’t know much about products, hence me coming to a professional, but I have been to enough salons to know that they normally add quite a bit of product that keeps my hair tame even on rainy days! She proceeded to blow dry my hair completely straight, and I’m thinking that I am *not* paying $ 50 for something I could have done with a straight iron at home myself! So I tell her nicely that I was expecting some curl, so she pulls out her curling irons and curls my hair that way(lazy way out, and something I should have just done myself at home considering). Plus, she did not look happy at all when I made this request. When all was said and done, my hair looked pretty flat and not impressive by any means. It did not at all look like it was professionally blown out and cost me over $ 50. I am thinking she must have been pretty inexperienced and having a bad morning. And, btw, after dancing that night, during the reception on a cruise ship, my hair did become frizzy. Very disappointing experience. I don’t think I’ll be coming back, at least without requesting a specific person based on a good recommendation.
