****This place is now closed. *****I checked Unilocal to see where a good place for breakfast was, but things looked bleak. So we were resigned to traveling to Taos for a(very) late breakfast. We were famished, though, and so we stopped at Avalon’s. We were pleasantly surprised. Friendly waitress, good coffee. Eggs were cooked properly, served with home fried potatoes with peppers and onions. The bread was homemade sourdough, thick and toasted nicely. Now if they had more than grape jelly on the table things would have been even peachier. Yes, I recommend Avalon’s and someday I will have to try some of the baked goodies displayed in their cases.
