I loved my beignets! I’m from New Orleans and they tasted almost just like home! I got the funky monkey which is with Nutella and bananas. Delish! My husband got the quiche which was delish. The only reason o give them 2 stars only is because we came in when they had been open for an hour already… But only the cook was there! He was very accommodating and did everything he could for us including getting out food started til the owners got back! But the lack of having a server and then the lack of acknowledgement from the owners when they finally got there was very disappointing.

A short drive from the mountain, definitely worth it! This was the warmest place we ate at, like physically warm! It was so cold everywhere. A very unique décor makes this place very fun. It features an open kitchen which is very cool. Nothing to hide! The staff was very friendly and we enjoyed talking to everyone. I was just saying how I couldn’t believe there was no Mexican food in such cold weather, then we came here and guess what?! They have Mexican! We got the nachos as an appetizer and I could’ve eaten that as a meal! A hearty portion with tasty ground beef and yummy queso!!! Don’t skip this one! We got the «famous hand battered chicken strips» and they were better than we imagined! Yummy! We got a burger and fries, (love the fresh dark green lettuce) and the beef fajita tacos and chicken tacos. They were so flavorful, no fat, tender and the portion was great for the price! (Also yummy dark green lettuce!) On the way out we got a divine Smores latte, they are a full blown coffee shop also!
Soooo when my teenage sons got off the mountain we returned for more chicken strips and coffees and hot chocolates to go! BTW this is the best hot chocolate in town! Thanks for the yummy food, hot chocolate, coffee and amazing organic lip balm!

We tried Firefly for the first time this week. Really sorry to report that the service was slow and the food mediocre. There were only two other couples in the Restuarant at the time, so it wasn’t a busy day.

Received an arrogant message from one of the owners about my review. I withdraw my comment about nice people. Never coming back.

Don’t know when they are open! When you happen to catch them open their wifi is the worst you can imagine. It is so slow you can’t even use it. They ran out of coffee at 9:00 in the morning and took another 30 minutes to brew more. The table we sat at was dirty from leftover crumbs from the last person. We will not be going back!

Firefly offers up over-​priced, below average beignets, served with a complimentary side arrogance that makes it worthy of its own episode of Portlandia, but probably not your patronage.
I just received a response to my prior review from one of the owners that was sufficiently insulting to cause me to withdraw my previous comment that the owners seem like nice people, and ensure that I will never go back.

This place is great! We were passing though and it was their grand opening so we stopped in. They were quick, friendly, and so kind! The food was fab as well! I am quite sure the chicken strips were freshly cut and battered in house vs being frozen — and so good! Great quality. We will stop here again next time we’re in town.

I had to write a review on this place because I couldn’t believe how good the coffee was. I’m a Starbucks snob but my husband likes trying new coffee shops. This place was adorable, and the coffee was Amazing! !! I had never heard of apple nachos before but now I have to have them they were soooo good!!! If your at this little resort town you have to try this place. Next time we stay down here we will definitely be back.

This place is AMAZING! Seriously, I would drive to New Mexico just to visit this place. As luck would have it we were in the area to visit some friends and were able to stop in for their grand opening. The beignets are light and fluffy, the chicken is obviously FRESH chicken they cut and hand bread because it is juicy and the breading is light and crispy. I would eat that mother clucker all day long… if it wouldn’t make me gain weight… ha ha
Their coffee is obviously a specialty coffee… move over Starbucks, this place is going to take over your coffee empire with coffee that good :)
Also tried the apple nachos and… omg…they were AMAZING! I can’t wait to come back to this area again…
Also, the décor is adorable. They have floors that look like they are leather! The owner told me they are paper bag flooring, that’s so unique! And the penny floors are amazing! I can’t believe they hand placed every single penny… awesome!

This place is a true Gem! First off the décor is adorable! It’s so welcoming and comfortable. We ordered some chicken strips to share and they were soo good. I want this recipe! It tasted homemade and fresh! We also had some beignets and coffee. I love coffee, so much so it might be an addiction. This coffee might be the best I’ve ever had. Seriously, this isn’t your run of the mill coffee shop. Oh and the beignets were so light and fluffy! And delicious!
Overall, I can not recommend this place enough. The service was amazing and FAST! The food was delicious and the coffee was to die for.
The only down side is we don’t live in town so I can’t visit every day. :(I will be dreaming of that coffee and the Flying Porker Beignet until my next visit!

This place is adorable! Just visiting family in town and managed to stop by for their grand opening. The workers were really sweet and welcoming! All of our beignets were fab and the coffee was really great. haven’t had coffee that good in a café in probably ever. seriously it’s good y’all! I wish we lived here because I so wanted to try the other beignets on the menu. Will definitely be back next time in town!
