I flew in a grabbed lunch today. Although I do not normally eat burgers, they have a great one, and I was planning on that. They have always been good at the Windsock and I changed my mind to have the special. The special today was a turkey muffaletta sandwich. It was a great sandwich on very good bread. My only change would be more olives. It only had a few black olives and they were the plain ones pre-cut out of a can. I like the multi-olive muffaletta sandwich. I will still say this was a great sandwich and deserves four stars.

The desire to go here is in search of my headline, to find the best $ 100 hamburger. This restaurant is located on Brazoria County airport. My buddy and I flew in one Friday for lunch. We walked in and the place was pretty full and there were few planes on the ramp so this meant the locals must like it. We both ordered burgers, fries, and a drink. The burgers were OK, nothing to drive or fly across town for, but if you are looking for a reason to fly then they surely hit the spot. The fries are on the larger side, not the fast-food thin cut, but would not classify them as homestyle either. On the next table over we saw the huge chicken fried steak plate so I may need to make another trip :) The waitstaff is downhome friendly and a good enough reason to visit. We were short on time and needed to get back to work in Sugar Land so we got our pies to-go. When I did get around to eating it later in the day it was amazing. It is definitely worth making a trip. Since I flew, my buddy picked up the tab, I would guess the total was around $ 30 including tax and tip since we ordered dessert.
