We were here over the weekend with a large group for a birthday party. The outdoor patio is quite spacious. You can access it from the parking lot or from the beach(with stairs up to the patio/outdoor bar). There is a small covered area with(2) pool tables. There is a large U-shape bar with 3 – 4 bartenders serving everyone. The drink prices were reasonable given the atmosphere. They had a large list of beers for $ 5.00. The best bang for your buck are the 16 oz. bottles of Bud Light Lime for $ 5.00, otherwise the rest were 12 oz. cans. The crowd was varied from young twenties to a couple of groups 50+. I am not sure if or how the scene changes at night, but the day time scene was not rowdy(read: like Sunset Bay Beach bar) and you could hear everyone talking around you. There are plenty of tables and umbrellas on the perimeter of the patio to enjoy a beverage or some food(from the stand on the other side of the bar) while looking out at the beach. We did not have to pay any type of cover to gain access. There is also free parking outside. However, the Mickey Rats side was blocked off by a divider and they were charging $ 10/person for access because of an event happening. I probably wouldn’t go out of my way to return, but giving the circumstance I wouldn’t mind coming back.
