Oh my goodness… several months ago my husband and I happened upon this place while we were shopping in Angola and wanted breakfast… it was awesome. Then yesterday I took my mom for lunch and was even more impressed. We both had the homemade breaded tenderloin sandwich… it was really homemade… it was huge, crispy, and real tenderloin. And it was just as good as a leftover today. I highly recommend this place… it is an old Mom and Pop shop — great menu, great food, great prices, and great service. I am only giving it 4 stars because it could use a little updating — the bathrooms were pretty old and worn out. But a definite step back in time to when things were the real deal!

We were in town for work for a few days and decided to give this place a try. I tried the turkey club and cup of stuffed pepper soup. Both were very good. The next day I tried the patty melt with tater tots and Cole slaw. The slaw is excellent and obviously homemade. The patty melt was nothing to complain about at all. Don’t let the décor or atmosphere take away from the great food. It was also very affordable.

The best breakfast place I have been to in a really long time! I had the farmers omelette and it was incredible! My brother would recommend the skillets with «mama’s good gravy.» The atmosphere is exactly what you would expect in a dive place like this. The staff is friendly and helpful. The price is great for the quality and quantity of food — The coffee is even FREE with a meal purchase! What a great idea!

Update! I went back in Sept 2014 to see how things had progressed since my last review in June.
Service is much better, prompt, attentive and helpful with menu items.
Biscuits and gravy, Yes your biscuit is HUGE, but gummy and tasteless. The sausage gravy is bland, no seasonings and I do not know you make sausage gravy without spiced sausage, they managed.
Turkey Manhattan was dry, bread hard (stale??) and gravy again lacked any flavor at all. We will NOT be back to give it another try.

We stopped in here for breakfast after the Angola Balloon Festival Sat. I had to get the biscuits and gravy to see if their sign was true. It’s True and the biscuits are HUGE.
I wanted a cinnamon rolls and was hoping they had some, but was told it is a specialty item and the waitress suggested we try the cinnamon roll pancakes. OMG very yummy.
We plan to go back to try their desserts and dinner items.
