I probably go here a couple times a month, with a guy I work with, for lunch. It’s a pretty good place to go when you don’t want to settle on one thing to eat.
The prices are pretty good and the place is usually clean. The staff is friendly and pretty quick to clear away dirty plates.
I’ve also brought the family here a couple times as well. The mini-​yelper likes it because the usually have some type of pizza out so she can have that if she’s not up for the noodles she likes.
All in all, I keep coming back and will until they give me a reason not to.

Not a huge selection but good food. The service is excellent. It doesn’t take long before you will have a refill on your drink and your plates cleared away. They are going through a remodel right now. I can’t wait for them to re-​open.

This was just absolutely terrible. The worst part was the dishes… many of them were visibly dirty, with dried on food that apparently survived the dishwasher. I would guess the food comes from the same supplier that every Chinese buffet seems to use. So, in other words, it’s not good. We were seated, brought our drinks, and then no one returned even to offer refills. I wish I could suggest another buffet in the area, but I’ve yet to find a good one.

I’ve been to this buffet twice and can say there’s nothing special about it. To be honest, it doesn’t compare to the Chinese buffets located in Des Moines, food quality is okay here, but I’ve had better in every other Chinese Buffet in Des Moines. Since this is the only place in Ankeny, there is no other option I can think of nearby for Chinese Buffet.
Staff is friendly and location is clean.

Just your average chinese buffet. There is hibachi grill and some sushi which is always a plus.
