I can’t wait to host s party here! Located in a courtyard next to Kerrytown(formerly Eve). This is s two room space with beautiful exposed brick and decorative lighting. Perfect for a variety of small gatherings. This retirement party had a beer/wine bar and delicious mini foods; roast beef, Reuben, pulled pork — now my favorite Zingerman’s summer sandwich and chicken teriyaki skewers! The molasses cookies and bread were also very good. There were high top tables for standing as well as booths along the windows around the perimeter of both rooms. Windows overlooking the courtyard made for a completely perfect environment!

My husband and I had our wedding rehearsal dinner at Zingerman’s Events on Fourth. Working with Patti, their event planner, was a dream! She is super easy to work with and very responsive over email. She arranged a tasting a few months prior for us and both sets of our parents and was very accommodating. The pricing was reasonable, especially given the Zingerman’s food standard(amazingly delicious). The actual space was perfect for the size of our party, about 40 people and just beautiful with the raw brick and light bulbs. My husband wanted more of an «urban loft» style wedding like we had experienced with friends of ours in New York and Chicago but this is not the easiest thing to find in Ann Arbor. The vibe at the Zingerman’s Event space was just what he was looking for! I’m sure for a smaller wedding this would be lovely as well. So easy and beautiful. Highly recommended!

If you’ve tried Zingerman’s food(roadhouse or deli) then you will love the events that they setup at this location. Typically it is something every month or two(I have attended ~5+ in the last year and a half). I’ve honestly enjoyed every event here, each one is unique and brings great flavors and food to taste test. Different speakers show up to talk and answer any questions you might have. Its great meeting Ari and the team, learning about food and enjoying a good meal. Give it a try, always a great experience.

Anyone in the greater Detroit/Ann Arbor area should do an event with Zingerman’s at least once in their life. I mean, it’s an Ann Arbor staple and although I’ve heard several people say it doesn’t live up to it’s hype, the consistent lines around the corner have a different opinion. If you ever want to know how they get their great food and products, Events on Fourth is your ticket. I went to a chocolate class and tasting, hosted by their chocolate buyer. She took us through the history, processing, manufacturing, and marketing of chocolate. She told us what to look for when buying, and taught us about the different cacao percentages and what they mean. We also got to sample about 10 different chocolate pieces. While sampling, she asked us what flavors stood out, as this was something most of us never really thought of before. We started with Hershey’s which was pretty good, but after sampling the rich, organic, dark chocolates on our menu, Hershey’s tasted like processed, waxy garbage. Such an eye opener! If the chocolate class was anything like the rest of their events, I will continue to go. The hosts are very informative, personable, and really know their stuff backwards and forwards. Awesome experience!

I’ve gone to a few tastings at Zingerman’s events space and each one has been pretty spectacular. From the amazing samples of food and drink from local purveyors to the education you get on each subject, it’s all pretty remarkable. The Askinosie chocolate tasting was a delight both for my mouth and my soul. My friend and I both shed tears as we heard, from the owner Shawn himself, all the amazing things their company does abroad to give back to the communities that grow his cocoa beans. Yesterday I attended a hard cider and cheese tasting and left with a ton of knowledge on apple varieties and hard cider tasting notes. Plus, you know… delicious cheese! The space itself is gorgeous. I, unfortunately, never made it to Eve when it inhabited the space so I don’t know how much they’ve done to change it up but it’s lovely. I’m a sucker for exposed brick and hanging Edison-like lights so I’m always pleased to walk in here. The staff manning the events are experts at what they do – much like all Zingerman’s staff. My only complaint is that a few times the event has been so popular that they’ve sold out and the table spacing is really tight. Yesterday my fella could barely move his arms to enjoy his cider. I know they want to accomodate everyone they can but I think it may benefit all those in attendance if they limited it by a handful of spaces so the guests that are there could be more comfortable. Otherwise I love this space and find every event I’ve been to completely worth the money and incredibly impressive!
