Been buying wine kits and supplies from them for over 8 years. Recent wine kit I purchased had 2 yeast packets in it and one yeast packet was contaminated. Called the owner and his first reaction was he didn't make the wine kit. I responded that I bought it from his company so it doesn't matter who made the kit and he immediately cooped an attitude and said he didn't like my tone. I told him I'm not mad at him and just wanted the yeast packet that my kit was supposed to have because the kit was already made with one of the two packets that the kit came with so to follow the recipe in the kit I needed the other yeast packet. Was told he would mail it out and never got it.

I went in looking for kefir and came out inspired to make cheese, yogurt, wine, sake… This place has it ALL!!! Huge! I’ve even found some very hard to find ingredients I use in food. They have so much more than beer brewing stuff. Great customer service too!

I can’t say enough good about AIH. I have been using this store for a couple of years now, i feel very blessed as they are right on my way home. I have a homebrew store in Jackson to go to, but i don’t use them because Adventures is so much better of a store. They have NEVER failed to have any esoteric part i needed no matter what i was working on. Building a keezer in your basement and need a special stainless fitting? They have it. Very very good prices too. Its basically like shopping online but you get to see and touch it before they ship it instantly. If you’re into brewing, you owe it to yourself to come here at least once. You’ll be hooked.

It was definitely worth the drive from Metro Detroit. The staff were extremely helpful & mindful of my budget. No high-pressure sales pitches. No stuffy attitudes toward newbies. The store itself is beautiful, clean, well-stocked, & has a great lay-out. I highly recommend giving them a try, whether you are a beginner or expert home brewer.

So I help run the family business out here in Los Angeles and I called homebrewing to buy some supplies for my restaurant and Robert happily took my phone order right on the spot… very courteous… very patient with me… I asked him like 100 questions and he answered them with pinpoint accuracy. It’s my first time purchasing anything from this online store but I will most definitely be calling them back for anything in the future. Thank you guys and keep up the good work. Peace

Stopped in here as we are from California and order most of our homebrew items from here! Huge location compared to Cali brew stores and helpful staff. Lots of parking and if you know what you want you can be in and out pretty quickly.

Our über favorite place! This IS the store for adults. They have absolutely everything for brewing beer, making wine, cider, cheese and everything in between. The workers there are extremely friendly and willing to help out with anything. We ended up buying all of our keezer supplies there and they explained how to set it up! Stop in and you will not be disappointed!

This place was much bigger than I expected! They have a lot of cool stuff, including spices for making your own bitters, vegetarian rennet, and ‘MERICA bottle caps. The employees were pretty friendly and knowledgeable, and the music selection was great. I distinctly remember Foreigner being played at some point.

Huge homebrew store. Fantastic prices on equipment and kegs! I wish it wasn’t so far away, but its worth the hour drive to AA if buying big ticket items like a kegging system. They have pre-made kits for popular clone brews ready to go. It was really busy on a Sunday, so you may need to wait a while in a line. If you are a homebrewer and in AA this is a place you have to stop at. They have a great website too so you can make a shopping list and price things out before you go.

After I wrote the initial review I was contacted by the owner personally to make it right. I really appreciate this level of customer service and will make sure to give it another shot as the merchandise really is beyond compare to any other supply store I’ve found.

I went in to buy some cheese making supplies and wandered around for 30 minutes. They have EVERYTHING for the home brewer, wine maker, cheese maker, and more. There is one in Taylor but this one is MUCH larger. The staff was very helpful. They have premade kits for the less experienced brewers and a lot can be ordered online and shipped right from this location. They have a rewards program!

I love supporting this place. The store is gigantic and stocked beyond compare. The entire staff is incredibly knowledgeable and eager to help — their passion for brewing is something that permeates every conversation. Beyond the abundant selection and excellent customer service, for every $ 200 that you spend, they will give you a $ 10 store credit. A+

H U G E !! A knowledgeable staff and a ton of supplies. Every time I walk in here I end up finding more things I didn’t even know existed. They fabricate brewing system components and can help you design your own system. This place is great for a beginning homebrewer, and a destination for a traveling brewer on his way to some of the areas breweries. The Taylor store still is worthwhile, and is going to be better I hear now that their mailorder and other warehouse activities are at the Ann Arbor location. The owner has lots of ideas for the new Ann Arbor store; I look forward to a library with seating, classroom area, and maybe even winemaking on premises???
