The food was decent, but the service was terrible and the person who took my order was rude. With all the options available to people in the downtown area I see no reason to come back.

I really, really like this place but it is very expensive. I love that you are able to completely customize your entire meal, which obviously comes with a price tag, but I do feel as though some items are overpriced. I loved being able to have a beer with my meal. I loved that I could add toppings to my fries as well. I went for parmesan fries and they were alright — nothing amazing but good. The burger was amazing. The space is very clean and the employees seem to be pretty nice. The first time I was there, the woman seemed to be a little bit impatient with my first-time unknowing but the service was good every time since. I love this restaurant and come back frequently but definitely be prepared for more of a restaurant-style price.

Pretty good burgers, but way more expensive than they should be. Plus, terrible service. The same woman took my order the last two times I went, and she was not friendly at all. She barely gave me time to look at the menu, and she was impatient as I tried to make my selection. There wasn’t even a line behind me! My food also took forever to prepare. Once, my order was forgotten, and I waited over 15 minutes at a pretty quiet time for just a burger. The staff didn’t even really apologize for messing up. This makes for a pretty poor experience. As for the food, the burgers are good but very small. I like that the buns are soft, and the flavors are great. They’re just not filling at all! The fries are great too, but again way overpriced. I like the space. It’s trendy and located at a convenient location on South U. It’s a nice place to grab a snack, but be prepared to pay too much for your food here.

On the expensive side, but their veggie burger is amazing! It’s probably the most flavorful veggie burger I’ve had. However, the custard wasn’t very good. It wasn’t very creamy and was a little watery /not completely frozen. Perhaps it’s because when I ordered the custard, it was the end of the night and they had to turn on the custard machine again just for my order. Also, their service is on the slow side.

My biggest advice to them would be to cut down the fry portions and make the burgers bigger. For the price you pay, you can get a considerably better deal across the street at Blue Lep for a reasonable side of fries and a bigger burger. It’s only a good deal when they have the deals on the Hooked app

This is a review just for their fries — The gf and I happen to be fry monsters and we finally got around to trying this place. We were greeted with a trendy menu that seemed straight forward at first(«hand-cut fries»), but then became this stress inducing task of choosing what flavors/toppings to have on our fries — salt + vinegar? canjun? chili and cheese? urban style? alternative style? Gone are the days when you can just walk in and order fries without having some doubt/order envy about whether you should have gotten them alternative style. We settled on canjun style fries and were greeted with a massive portion of freshly fried fries that were indeed hand-cut, which is obviously one of the best cuts(others including waffle fries and curly fries), and extremely well flavored. These fries were the real deal, and we will definitely be back in the future to try some of their burgers.

The best veggie burger in town :) The patty is very flavourful and doesn’t feel too dry like some black bean ones !! The Burgerfi sauce is really good too ! The free toppings are pretty good too :)

This is by far top 3 burger places ever. Their vegefi burger is so good — it doesn’t make you feel like you’re eating ground up beans, it just feels like a patty and you don’t leave missing out on flavor. Their special sauce is perfect, just the right amount of spice. You can get the burger«green style» and just wrapped in lettuce, which I do and don’t feel like I’m missing out on anything. The fries here are probably the best on campus. I have dreams of these fries. The Cajun are so incredibly good — and they’re not so spicy that they’re overwhelming! They just really hit the spot, and cut like actual potato slices rather than strings. They also have Hooked deals going on almost all the time and their happy hour at the bar includes $ 1 fries and discounts off their burgers.

Definitely a great place to go if your new to Ann Arbor and want a great Burger! The breakfast burger is unique and definitely one of my favorites! Cajun fries were done perfectly and not over seasoned. Sitting at some of the tables is terrible because they feel like they are about to fall apart or that they are unstable because they’re using napkins to keep them balanced. Overall a great stop and I’ll be back!

A «meh» three stars. I love a good burger. My sister was in town visiting me so we decided to try this place out. Not sure how new it is but I will say the décor and everything is nice. This place does not look dirty, and the atmosphere was nice to eat in. I’m also really huge on natural ingredients etc so that made me happy. The have a few basic burgers but then you can also build your own. I built mine — I don’t exactly recall with what. And I also got an order of fries. Overall though I was not overwhelmed. The burger tasted fine. Nothing blew me away about it. Same with the fries. I think my overall impression was that nothing about this places screamed BurgerFi signature to me. Nothing stuck out as their trademark that I had to come back for. Granted, it’s been awhile since I’ve been that I’m writing this review but I do remember my experience as such that I have since had no real craving to go back.

I’ve been here twice now and both times got the Breakfast Burger just because where else do you have the opportunity to get a burger with bacon, egg, cheese, hashbrown, anddd(wait for it) syrup? Yes, this burger actually does exist. It is a very good burger when you want to change it up, but it’s not like I go here every week for it. The fries are also delicious, you can get different seasonings if you’d like. I’ve had the parmesan seasoning, which is good but I think the cajun would actually be better. Finally, to end the meal you NEED to get one of their milkshakes. I had the strawberry banana milkshake and it was the best I have ever had, no lie. It has real strawberry and banana pieces which I think makes a shake amazing. If you’re visiting Ann Arbor, I would definitely check this place out. Not much like it elsewhere.

This place is in Ann Arbor and for us Buckeye fans and devils den, but U of M aside Ann Arbor is a nice place to go out and eat and shop. The restaurant is in the east side of campus south if the large dorms and med school in a little area of its own away from the main area starting at State street and heads west of it. The restaurant itself os stylish and modern. Its burgers and fries mostly but they have hot dogs and a few other items as well. You can buy premade or make your own by selecting the sides you want. I have been here twice. I believe they have some special selling points. when I was there last time i thought I read about nonGMO etc but looked this time and couldn’t find. The service this time was poor. The woman spoke broken English which is fine, but she seemed to rush us which was stressful since we had a hard time understanding her. And she wasn’t friendly. The kitchen area is visible by design I believe, but it creates a hectic environment. It was noisy both times but it is on a college campus so have to expect that. The food tastes like 5 guys basically. The food does look better than 5 guys and I think the fries are better here. It is expensive. Expect to pay at least $ 9– $ 10 for a burger fries and drink, and if you go upscale its more. Overall not much value other than the place is stylish. For you parents with college kids, I wouldn’t want my kids spending this type of money regularly in college for food! Not to lecture, but proper spending habits are created when young. In my opinion, If your house and cars aren’t paid off, you should only eat at upscale places occasionally. This concludes this public service announcement… Possibly worth a try if you need a burger on the east side of campus, the other places are full, and you like modern stylish places.

I really like burgers. I could lie and say that I’m a discerning burger connoisseur but that would simply be dishonest. My affinity for McDonald’s lies just as deep as that for Umami and I’m shameless in my admission of that reality. That being said, it would really only make sense that I would visit BURGERFI within my first few weeks in A2 as it is only a ten minute walk from my apartment. I came here on Saturday with a new friend and the place seemed pretty empty. The service was friendly and prompt. The only thing I wish they’d done differently was note the food was going to be mediocre before I ordered it so that I could go to wend– never mind. I ordered a cheeseburger with white cheddar and found myself thoroughly disappointed. The patty was dry and flavorless and the cheese seemed to perform on the same level as the patty. The fries were actually pretty good. Not too soggy. Not too dry. I ordered em plain. Burger, drink and fries were about twelve dollars which would have been fine if the food was better. One thing that needs to be addressed is the size of the burgers. It’s true, the burgers are tiny. Having recently moved from Los Angeles I don’t bat an eye when I see a sandwich not much larger than a matchbox, but I’m in Michigan now. C’mon. I’m supposed to have Lard dripping out of ears every time I frequent a burger place. I prepare myself for a cholesterol apocalypse when I go out these days and I felt I left not meeting that challenge. If someone offers me a BURGERFI burger I ain’t turnin it down, but it’s unlikely I’ll be coming back anytime soon.

Coming from Los Angeles and trying this spot with the«in n out» mentality and after reading all the comparisons I decided to try it. It is on another level from in n out. You can compare the two. Burgerfi has great beef. It’s a good size patty unlike in n outs thin patty. The fries are great! Thick cut and you can add plenty of seasoning to them. Great spot for a great burger. –Cocina food truck

Come on, Burgerfi. Every time I come in, I’m hoping that you will make up for my first visit, which wasn’t stellar. The second visit was much better and I hoped more representative, and the manager even responded promptly to my Unilocal feedback by comping my meal so that I could try it again. Till now, I’d only tried the custard. Today I ordered the veggie burger. It’s a great veggie patty — good texture, flavor. But it was topped with iceberg lettuce and the Burgerfi sauce was scant and uneven. The bun also tasted very processed and lacked the structure it should have had via toasting or multigrain. I’m a big sauce and bread person, so that makes me sad. This still would have been three stars, except it took them several minutes to notice or acknowledge me when I came in. I get that they were busy, but that should not stop them from greeting customers.

The burgers are tiny, but distinctive. I love the vegetarian burger here with the quinoa patty. It’s a much better vegetarian option that the black bean patties most places offer – imagine quinoa fried to crispy perfection instead of the usual mushy, grainy, sorry-excuse-for a patty that I’ve eaten far too many times elsewhere. I also really enjoy the BAD(breakfast all day) burger. While throwing syrup and ketchup together onto a burger seems a bit frightening at first, they somehow make it work. And there’s bacon in it. Can’t ever go wrong with that. As for non-burger items, the onion rings here are gigantic and the size of half your hand, which I actually thought was pretty cool. The custard is a bit too sweet, and the fries can be too salty if you go overboard with toppings(I think they let you pick and choose what you want to add to them, which is kinda fun). Definitely worth trying the unique burgers here, but don’t be too surprised by the small quantity of food you’re receiving for the above-average price you’re paying.

Let’s start by saying I’m a vegetarian. They do have a veggie burger, and it’s actually pretty decent. I like that they have a fairly large list of free toppings for their burgers. The big thing with this place is that the fries are not crispy(though they are plentiful) and the food is over priced. The restaurant itself is pretty clean and bright, which makes it a good place for lunch. It’s interesting that they also have a bar and a bunch of TVs, though BurgerFi isn’t on my list of spots to grab a beer and watch a game. I’d go back if I was going with a group and can’t vouch for the rest of the menu, but not a home run for me.

Great location, Great interior, friendly staff, Sub-par burgers. Walking in, I thought«oh this will be a good place to grab a quick lunch/late night burger craving! However, the burger just doesn’t cut it. –The bun was as flat as flat as a witch’s teet, and obviously frozen for a long time before being reheated for my burger. – Brisket burger didn’t really taste like a brisket burger… Just seemed like they used leaner meat. – I felt pretty darn gross after eating here, which could be the result of a variety of reasons. Fries were decent– didnt have much flavor or texture, even with the cajun rub.

After partying away at Rick’s, my friends and I made our way here for some late night drunchies since it is open til 3AM on Thurs-Sat. From the outside and its menu, this place reminded me of Shake Shack, but after trying their food, this place is far from Shake Shack. The pricing is a bit high for the quality of the food. They do give samples of their custards and I got to try the tropical flavored one and it was horrible. The burgers were way too small for its price. One of the cool thing was the bucket of fries that my friend ordered. It is a lot of fries that you can just share among your friends instead of ordering individual fries.

Our first and only trip to BurgerFi was painful. We waited for what felt like 45 minutes for a veggie burger(which was blah), cheeseburger, and fries. I started gnawing on my arm while we sat there, getting my hopes up with each passing minute that eventually our food come out. People that compared this place to In-N-Out have obviously been away from the West Coast too long – there is little to no resemblance in the food or service. On the bright side, the soda machine was interesting.
