besides the fact that the general mgr is a habitual felon who has 7 domestic violence convictions and is currently going to trial for being a felon with a weapon and that he gets drunk every shift off the owners liquer… the food is ok

If you are vegetarian this is the place to get a veggie burger! The food is perfect and the customer service is amazing! Love the atmosphere and proud to be a regular! Highly recommend the Minor or Major Veggie Burger with everything inlcuding grilled onions, mushrooms and a fried egg if you’re feeling it. Don’t forget the fries!

Quickie Burger is life changing. Minor Cheeseburger with mushrooms and onions melt in your mouth. The combo with American cheese is delicious!

Average, average, average. Soggy burger and limp fries. Nothing to write home about.

Extremely overpriced for shitty burgers. Place runs on drunk kids getting munchies. Don’t recommend it

Cheap, greasy, and pretty damn tasty! Get your burger with double patties because one isn’t enough. I like the whole wheat buns.

They had food it wasn’t bad and it wasn’t special either. Give it a try or don’t it won’t effect your life either way.

Amazing burgers, hot dogs, and fries. Really good quality meat and the buns are fresh(most of the time) the service is also nice and quick. As for the older man who owns the place he is the best, I can see how his sense of humor can rub people the wrong way but he means no harm.

While the service was great, food wasn’t as fresh as we hoped. The patties seem frozen, as do the fries. Onion rings were good but you don’t get many and the special sauce they have is runny but has a kick to it. We were the only ones here for a lunch on a Saturday so I wonder if it might be more of a late night place. The older couple who ones the place was very accommodating and gave recommendations, but I’ve had better burgers and for the price, was expecting more.

So I’m on a quest for the perfect bacon cheeseburger, sweet potato fries and shake in Ann Arbor. Here are my thoughts about Quickie Burger: First of all, the older man that ran the register I think was the owner. He asked my friend if she wanted any shakes or fries, and when she said no, asked if she was on a diet or something, that she didn’t need it, and then tried to guess her measurements. Rude much? So food review: 1) Bacon Cheeseburger. It was pretty good. The first time it came out it had the«special» sauce on it, when I asked for plain. Apparently the guy’s wife in the kitchen had made a mistake, which is fine. Cheeseburger was decent. Bacon was hidden in cheese, so I didn’t get the oh so good crunchy luxury I normally want when I get bacon on my sandwiches. Speaking of the secret sauce, he told us the story of how his wife created it. Apparently it was such a hit at a party that they had to dig the ingredients out of the trash to try to figure out how to recreate it. 2) sweet potato fries. SWEETPOTATOFRIES! Seriously good. They were oily, crunchy, and had brown sugar all over it. Yum. 3) Shake. The mixer I got turned out to be more of a Dairy Queen Blizzard. I got cherries and brownie chunks. It was pretty good, better than Burger Fi’s version, but not exactly what I was looking for. Overall, the meal was about $ 13, better than the $ 17 dollar comparison for Burger Fi. It satisfies, but I’m still on the quest for the perfect burger combo of my dreams.

I think they deserve way more than 3 stars. They use a whole wheat bun which makes you feel a tad less guilty for eating here! Kind of on the expensive side for fast food. But oh my oh my, this place is delicious! Super sloppy, so don’t go here on a first date! Buuut if you’re with your buddies or even solo, get ready to chow down :)

How was this place voted best burger in AA? Burgers and regular fries were disappointing. Notes: — The minor cheeseburger is a very unimpressive $ 5 burger. The patty was on par with frozen supermarket patties, and the bun was neither toasted nor particularly good. — Regular fries were $ 2.50. Minuscule portion akin to a McDonald’s small fries order. Fries were poorly fried; overly greasy and no flavor. Food-wise, nothing about Quickie Burger warrants another visit.

I can’t even help it, I love this place. It’s definitely drunk food, but you know what? Vegetarians get drunk too and they dedicated a whole menu section to us :’) I love how old school it looks, like it probably hasn’t changed since it first opened, dollar bills taped everywhere, stools up by the window for people watching. I can get a pitcher of beer for $ 5. Give me a break, that is awesome. I adore their manager whose name escapes me at the moment. He is a very chill dude, and so is his friend I sometimes see in there that owns the cigar shop. Very nice people. Their hiring process must be a series of things that piss most people off and if you’re cool at the end, you got the job. Sean and I sat outside a few weeks ago though, and there was black junk on the chairs that I didn’t see until we got up. Poor Sean had a white soccer jersey on and I spent a half hour cleaning each tiny black spot from it. I worked for that beer, I’ll tell ya!

You really only need to know one thing about Quickie Burger: Guinness Shakes! The burgers are decent, and as many have mentioned the sweet potato fries are good. However, if I’m really in the mood for a burger or drunk food I find myself going to different establishments.(Carnivore burger at Blue Tractor, and Mr. Spots if I really just want some grease.) In closing, GUINNESSSHAKES!

Quickie is DRUNKFOOD. Usually the only time I ever eat here is on game day– either right before the game for a fast, sloppy lunch or after for a greasy pre-nap meal. The burgers are a-ok: they’re fast, hot and leave everything on your body smelling like fried food. The fries are fine too, but chicken tenders are the BEST I’ve had in Ann Arbor. Seriously… YUM. They are crispy, meaty, hot and full of flavor. As long as you know what you’re in for… Quickie is always a satisfying meal :)

Honestly, I would pick this place over Blimpyburger any day. Why? THEIRSWEETPOTATOFRIES. These fries are perfectly dusted with brown sugar and each bite is like being kissed my an angel. Wow, just wow. Burger is equally as divine. It’s honestly addictive. And even the veggie burger kills it. Why don’t they give this place more credit? Maybe it’s because their logo is a woman humping a flying burger. But have a few beers or one of their blue cocktail drinks and it all makes sense.

Cheap pitchers. Place smells great, especially on game days. The food is all right. Would avoid the fried mushrooms though.

Burgers are pretty disappointing — I know it’s collegetown, but we still have better taste that Costco frozen beef patties would imply. Really bland! The prices fooled me into thinking they used fresh beef — $ 5 for a single, $ 7 for a double, and $ 9 for a triple. A little expensive for a frozen patty. On the plus side, a wheat bun is automatically included, so props for that. They have beer specials too. After 5PM, cheap domestic for $ 5/pitcher, then decent ones for $ 7 or $ 10/pitcher depending on what it is specifically. Not a bad deal, although the seating downstairs doesn’t really have décor for you to enjoy all the pitchers. Try Blimpie’s for burgers. They’re about the same price and way greasier, but at least it’s fresh beef.

On the plus side: it is indeed quick; they use a wheat(or at least tan, rather than white) bun, which i guess is supposed to add a certain panache; the place is clean; and the fries are great(if you don’t mind those kind that are coated with something slightly bumpy that keeps them crisp). Biggest downside is that the meat part of the burger itself is nothing at all special, indeed disappointing — it’s larger than the usual hamburger-stand burger, but has a machine-stamped appearance, slightly mushy texture, and bland taste that all combine to indicate it’s some frozen commercial product. This place is fine if you just need some fast food, but don’t expect a special burger experience.

I loooved my minor burger with American cheese. The burger was juicy and the bun was big enough to soak up the burger and not fall apart like many burger chain buns do. I wasn’t super impressed with the curly fries, I will try the sweet potato fries next time. Overall, I like Krazy Jim’s Blimpie Burger more, but for the price and quality of the burger I think Quickie deserves four stars =)
