Choice Quick Lube

They were wonderful. Very kind, quick, didn’t try to rip me off. And they were hot, assuming you like dirty young men, and all smiles! I went to two other places first who couldn’t get me in.

Came in for an emergency change. Rich and Dave were quick, courteous, and didn’t mansplain the problem to me; rather they talked me through the issue, charged me fair prices for parts, and made sure it was running right and working clean. Couldn’t have been more thrilled. Good, honest, easy-​to-​work-​with mechanics can be hard to find; but these guys were great. Recommend anytime!

For your own safety, DO NOT GO HERE
1) In my original review I noted that they froze my washer fluid lines in the winter, resulting in a road salt buildup on my windshield that I couldn’t clear unless the temperature was above freezing. Since then:
2) I took my car to another shop and they told me my serpentine belt was going to break at any second. He showed me the belt and sure enough, it had cracks every millimeter along the entire length. This is something an oil shop should check as part of their inspection.
3) After taking my wife’s car in, I found that they had overinflated the tires. Recommended was 33 PSI, and they were all 45 – 47. Again, shoddy service, they clearly just attach the air pump, count to 10 and move on. At PSIs that high above the recommendation, one hard pothole on the freeway and who knows if the tire would burst.
I’m done with this place. The belt was so bad they clearly neglected it for several oil changes worth of visits. And the tire and windshield fluid issue, just lazy, shoddy operations. For your own safety, take your car elsewhere or you might find yourself in an accident directly caused by Choice Quick Lube.

I’ve been coming here for years and I really love this place. VERY fast like 15 minutes on average. Back in the day, I used to go to Midas– OMG Midas was awful. they took forever and it was a whole afternoon thing. plus they always upsell you.
These guys at Choice Lube are really awesome. Friendly convenient and efficient. They usually give me a discount as a repeat customer, like $ 3 off (available to those returning before 10k miles). I get the synthetic oil which is a little more expensive but it’s fine. For my Civic ’11, the oil change costs about $ 29. ($ 27 if I show the Clipper Coupon ad available online).
I only come here for my oil change needs! you should too!

These guys do excellent work and are very open and clear about the car. I’ve been to several other places in the Saline/​Ann Arbor area, but I am a customer here for life!

First time and it was a pleasant experience. Vince, the gentleman that help me, was very nice and explained everything as it was happening. Didn’t feel like something was being pulled over me, which I have felt at other oil change places. Thanks for oil change guys!

Oil changes. Always respectful of customers. I mentioned offhand a perennially loose lightbulb, and they fixed it for free with a simple dab of conductive grease! Works great now.

Can I really be a fan of a quick lube joint? I suppose. Here’s what I like: location is super convenient for me. No appointment needed. 3 bays, so I was able to get in without waiting at all. Employees were incredibly friendly and polite. Got the whole however-​many-​point inspection. What I don’t love? I always feel like I’ve got «sucker» written across my forehead. Upsell, upsell, upsell. Oil change and new air filter = $ 66.

So far so good. My first time here, first time at a «Stay in your car while they Change the oil» Kinda weird, but a great time saver. Rich is very friendly and walked me through what my car needed. I was introduced to Al who did the actual servicing– both seem like upstanding genuinely trustworthy guys. I’ll definitely come back.

Went here for a simple oil change based on reviews, left with a great respect for this place! Over and above my expectations. Quick, easy, and cheap. They did so much more for free. They checked liquids, inflated tires, washed windows, checked many other systems like brakes and calipers, lights, etc all for free! They never tried to sell me on anything, but they did offer suggestions for possible problems and things I should be aware of. Very professional and courteous. Go here!

Ahh! SO nice! I pulled in on a blustery Thursday evening and they took me right away. It’s one of those drive in places so I just hung out it in my car while they did their thing. They asked me every step of the way what I wanted/​needed (fancy oil? Standard?) so I got to give my approval to everything.
They were very thorough, attentive, and checked over all the details – from my tires to my lights, and washed all my windows. I paid a little bit more than I usually do for an oil change but that’s because they gave me the ultra sexy synthetic oil so I don’t have to go back in for another 7 – 8,000 miles. I am lazy so this appeals to me greatly.
Fab service, excellent work, and awesome people. A little further from my house but I can definitely see myself heading back out there.

Excellent bunch of guys. Very friendly, courteous, and fast considering how busy they sometimes are. Prices are already reasonable, and they always have good coupons on their website.

Been here a few times, and nothing but friendly and quick service! One time I had a low tire pressure light on my truck that I couldn’t make go away, since all tires seemed to be fine. They told me that it likely was the spare that is stored under the bed of the truck and even filled it up for me after we lowered from the mounting bracket under the truck.
I’d go back in a heartbeat!

I have mixed feelings in my review. I went here to get my oil changed and the guys worked very quickly and seemed very knowledgable and like they were trying to do their best to help. The service was quick and good prices. The problem was that the day after my oil change I was driving to work and my engine started to badly smoke. After letting the engine cool I opened my hood and could clearly see that the smoke was caused by spilled oil visibly collected on the engine block. This is not a huge problem but one that is caused by simply not being careful and paying close attention and one that I should not have to deal with. I was late to work because of this so I recommend paying closer attention next time.

Came here again this morning, and can I just say, these guys are awesome. So courteous and fun to converse with. As usual, they weren’t pushy at all. Got to use the $ 10 off Early Bird special (on their website if you show up between 8 – 10 am), so my total for a standard oil change came to a little over $ 22 – not bad!
AND they actually only took like, 10 minutes. I was impressed!
Definitely going to tell my friends about this place. :)
(I really wish it weren’t so close to that epic shitshow of a roundabout though…)

This is a first rate customer service oriented business. Love this place. I’ve been here once a month ago and with a different car Nd I pulled in today and they called me by name. WHAT!!! These guys are great and listen to there recommendations

I have been getting oil changes here for a couple years now and have been perfectly happy with the service. They almost always suggest I replace my air filter, and I say no, and they don’t push it.
Yesterday I dropped in after work because I’ve been having a sporadic issue with my car that was worrying me. I commute about 80 miles every day, and on the highway my car has been randomly pulling to one side and making a noise like it has a flat tire (but it doesn’t). My regular mechanic has limited hours, so I wasn’t sure how soon I could get in. I just wanted to make sure nothing was dangerously wrong.
The Choice Quick Lube mechanic said they can’t do alignments there, but he did check all the axles, connections and tire pressure. Didn’t see any obvious problems, which was a relief to me. He also topped off my fluids and washed my windshield, then sent me off without charging anything. I wish I had noticed his name — great customer service!

courteous and helpful. I was in and out pretty quick.

Love these guys. I was sent here by a friend because I needed a mechanic while I’m around for school. My car hadn’t been starting and I took it in they said I needed a new alternator/​battery. Fine. Replaced that. Week later still wouldn’t start. They worked on it all day. Vince manually took out all y fuses, took it to the electrician and the whole shebang and couldn’t figure out the issues. I decided to leave the car there and Vince drove me home. Turns out my car is an early release model and it needed a completely different kind of alternator all together. Car works wonderfully now. I’ve only mostly worked with Vince and he’s a great guy. I will definitely be returning for my car needs.

Just got my oil changed today. I’ve been looking for a legit place to get my oil changed since moving here from cali… a place where the mechanics won’t hassle me about things I need to get fixed. Normally I go to uncle ed’s but after reading all the reviews about the overpriced service charges and oil change cost… i decided to go somewhere else. I didn’t have a bad experience, but after comparing costs… I realized that choice quick lube was at least $ 20 cheaper than uncle ed’s.
I found Choice Quick Lube from Unilocal (of course). My main mechanic was Sam. Vince and Al helped with the oil change and transaction. They were all very friendly and professional. I felt very comfortable with them. They were extremely honest. Checked everything. and told me everything looked good and that I didn’t need to get anything else fixed (which is a rare experience for me while getting oil changes). I know they are honest because I recently got my car 90,000 mile service check at the Acura dealership like 2 months ago.
Price: my oil change was $ 39.99 for synthetic blend oil (found the deal on their website under coupons). I also came between 8−10AM for the early bird special which is $ 10 off your oil change. So all in all… it came out to ~$ 32. I was almost going to spend $ 59.99 at uncle ed’s for the same oil. Whew! :) good thing i checked Unilocal!:)
Time: super speedy! I was in and out in ~10−15 mins! awesome!
