Tried calling them. When I asked if restaurant was open, rude man says NO and hung up on me. Website says permanently closed. Grrrrr.

I recently visited the establishment and while my server /bartender was fabulous there was a mix up in my order I spoke to a manager named Leslie who is beyond rude inappropriate and bobbing her head as she spoke to me. I asked to speak to her boss because of her unprofessionalism and she decided to laugh and give me attitude I would have to say that speaking to the owner he acted very nonchalant but more appropriate than his manager. I would tell you that there are better restaurants in the area that are not overpriced. In fact I would love to quote Leslie as their prices have gone up since my last visit and when I expressed my disappointment in a portion sizing because I normally order two portions and get a certain amount today I ordered three of that same thing and received the same amount that I had previously gotten for two orders. Leslie said just because our prices have gone up doesn’t mean are portions have how rude can you be to the customers that you want to come back to your establishment.

I only gave them one star because there was nothing less to give them. My date and I went there and were greeted by a ‘less than friendly’ hostess. We were seated at a booth. It was not busy, there were probably 2 other couples seated in this area. We sat there for 10 – 12 minutes while staff scuttered around us not even making eye contact. There were 2 or 3 female staff that were at the end of the bar talking amongst themselves. Not sure if we had our invisible suits on that night but we got up and walked out without anyone even speaking to us. I was appalled at the lack of customer service and can’t believe staff like that is tolerated. My b/f and I, and ALL of our friends will not be patronizing this establishment again.

A little hesistant to try at first after seeing the below comments. But I don’t regret it. I went here for a quick lunch and got the Santa Fe Egg Rolls. They were perfect. The service was fast, but that was most likely because it was empty. I definitely will be eating here more often.

Good food. Large menu. Something for everyone. Moderately priced. Great for lunch. Not the fastest place if you’re in a hurry. But overall good.

What a nice menu! Something for most everyone! Brett is excellent… Left us wanting more :-) …but enough to satisfy as a free appetizer, LOL Food is very good… But can be rich! Feel free to order at your leisure… They will change for you without a nasty face. Nice atmosphere

Restaurant has nice atmosphere. Kids eat free on Sunday & Monday. Food over priced and just«OK». Service lacking. Very slow waiter… took forever to bring requested items to table, not good at refilling drinks. Sat most of meal with empty glass. When speaking with manager about things that could improve experience, he seems uninterested, and didn’t really seem to care. Would not go back again

I was visiting Ann Arbor and friends recommended this place. We were disappointed. We ordered 4 entrees and only one was good. Some examples – The salmon was overcooked(ordered medium and it was very well done), the smashed potatoes tasted like medicine, and the caesar salad dressing was brown and tasted funny. The rolls they served before the meal were good. The service was just fine – pretty fast, and reasonably attentive. The location is convenient by the highway, but it should be called«highwayside» because we didn’t see the creek, just the flow of cars past the window.

I live near this«restaurant» and have visited several times over the years. The service and food quality has been going downhill over time. My husband and I have been forgotten a few times, and left sitting alone waiting… and waiting… and waiting. I talked him into trying one last time. The place was not crowded. Our waitress came, took our order, and left. Then a large party came in and sat near us, and she once again forgot us, and waited on her friends with another wait staff, laughing and joking while giving the party 2 for 1 service. I finally got up and found someone to ask our waitress for our food, which she delivered luke warm. I sent it back. We then had to wait and wait and wait again for our table to be cleared and then wait some more for the bill(after again finding another staff member to assist us). All the while, she was laughing and pulling out all the stops for her friends sitting near us. When she finally showed up, we were exasperated. I told her that this was our last trip to Creekside. Not only was the food of very poor quality, but now the service is nonexistent. I said what a terrible experience this was and we were done with the place. She quickly exited and went into the kitchen. Never offered to adjust our bill or take any steps toward customer service. I’d rather go just about anywhere, than to ever walk into Creekside again.

First off, let me say our server was fantastic and wonderful. The service was great however the food was not for me. Our waitress said that the sirloin French Dip sandwhich was delicious. I asked her if it was sliced(I am use to large slices — think like cuts of ham). She said yes. I guess I wasn’t clear enough. While the sirloin was sliced it was sliced in small chunks. It just was not appealing and swallowing all these thick chunks of meat was not appetizing. I really which they would specify this on their menu as this is not a cheap meal. I left still hungry and unsatisfied. I guess I won’t be going back :(

This place is not a fancy restaurant. It’s a diner that serves up some good sandwiches, burgers, and fries, and offers a decent selection of beers. We also ended up with a pretty cool waiter — he helped make some selections, and bothered us only when we needed him to. Overall, I really enjoyed this place. Is it the best restaurant you’ve ever visited? No. Will it fill you up, and allow you to hang with friends and catch up? Will it also do so in a fairly cheap and tasty way? Yes. In my mind, that works just fine.

Three strikes and you are out, Creekside… I came here last night for a dinner before I did some volunteer work. The parking lot was packed, like it is every Friday night(although I am not sure why)… but thought that since I wanted a seat at the bar, I would be «In and out»… That’s not how it really worked… I stood at the hostess station for quite awhile before the hostess pointed me towards the bar. Then once at the bar, a waitress kept pointing at me and barking to other staff that I hadn’t had someone see about my drink order(not sure why she couldnt do it). A very nice waitress came, took my drink order, and gave me a menu. The service was extremely slow. I asked for the happy hour specials and the waitress told me they weren’t going to be available for long. While some of them looked good, it took so long for the waitress to come back that they really were not avaiable for me to order… I ended up getting the smoked ham and cheese on a pretzel roll with a side of fries(could of had chips or coleslaw). The sandwich was ok. More lettuce and tomato than ham and cheese… It was supposed to have jalapeño mustard on it, but ended up having no mustard at all… While the fries looked good, they tasted bad. When I bit into the sandwich the bun fell apart and I ate most of it open faced… This place surely has it’s regulars(they are the drunks at the bar yelling and making the rest of the area feel uncomfortable)… Overall, the place was ok(environment had a «old feeling»), food was less than great and the prices were poor… I wouldn’t be back…

Have been going there for years and years and they used to be awesome. Tonight might have been the last time. We were seated and then forgotten about. Being short-handed can do that. No problem. Stuff happens. But the place wasn’t that crowded and how much effort does it take to at least acknowledge someone? Example of tonight: When the hostess seated us she noticed a big blob of something that was left from a previous party. She even exclaimed, «Whoa, that’s knarly!» So off she goes to get rag to wipe down? Nope. After about 15 mins I walk back in to ask if we could get some water and there she is(the hostess) sitting at the corner of the bar texting. When I mentioned the knarly blob was still on the table, she didn’t remember what I was talking about — or she was faking it? We waited a few more minutes and then walked out without ever having heard a peep from anyone. They have some real management issues. The only good thing left there is a guy in the kitchen named Eduardo. If you do want to go to CS, do it on Wednesday. If you are patient enough to get past the fully abysmal customer service they have ½ off Margaritas and they do dull the pain. When you order ask Eduardo to whip something up for you. That is the only part of Creekside worth the gamble. And one last item… the angry old guy with the white hair –fire that guy or if he must remain on the payroll, keep him in back doing dishes. Don’t let him anywhere near the customers or Unilocal will need to offer a 0 star option.

This is probably the WORST restaurant in Ann Arbor and almost the most expensive – bad combo! I have eaten here at least 10 tries as it is the closest restaurant to my home and we love to eat out! If I am paying $ 9 for a lunch sandwich at least the tomatoes could be red ripe in season August in Michigan. What happened to quality ingtedients? The salad was dismal with a lonely dried out carrot sliver. The mashed potatoes looked like they were globby from last week’s dinner .darn right gross! One bright spot was the gazbacho… very fresh and tasty. Lunch service was inattentive at best. I HADTOBEG to even get a glass of wine. So over $ 45 plus tip for a beyond sub-par lunch… NEVER again will I step in their for HIGH outrageous prices and LOW quality food. No thank you no mattet how close I live.

The target customer base for this restaurant is probably old people with money to spend, so that could be why I found the experience entirely unremarkable. When my bf and I entered, we were greeted by a disaffected young lady who looked bored out of her wits. She wasn’t unfriendly or anything, but come on… make an effort… Our waitress was friendly and was probably the best part of the experience. The interior was kind of cute, but the small curtains separating the booth seats were dirty from food being splattered on them… It looked like some kids had a food fight(not sure how recently). The food itself was not great for the value. I ordered the escanaba fish(panfried whitefish with a pesto cream sauce, topped with spinach and tomatoes) and a side of buffalo tots. The fish was waaay too fishy in taste and overwhelmed the sauce, which I thought was bland and could have used some more salt or some parmesan or something. The buffalo tots were just too intense – soggy tater tots drenched in buffalo sauce and sprinkled with blue cheese. I did enjoy the first few bites but couldn’t finish the side portion. The roll(rosemary bread?) was okay… The bf got the chili mac and enjoyed it, but he is not picky at all about food. He thought it wasn’t great given the price, but the portion was huge and he left full. It wasn’t a bad experience or anything, just not one that would convince me to return. At least make sure to get a booth by the windows. It’s a nice view on a sunny day.

I just had the worst dinning experience of my life this evening at Creekside Grill. The highlight of the evening was the assistance and good customer service we received from Ginger the hostess. Food was decent although we were not told there was a $ 3 up charge if you did not have the soup of the day. The food absolutely does not make up for the HORRIBLE service & lack of professionalism on the part of the evening shift manager or Tom the owner neither of which would come over to the table to address our concerns. Upon leaving we called to share our concerns with Tom and he was short and rude. They have lost two customers!!! We had a table of two and it was not overly busy, it took over 40 minutes to get a glass of sangria and a single beer. And only received the beer when we notified the hostess how long we had been waiting. The manager stopped by to say sorry it was the waitresses first night she would now be our server & comp. our glass of wine & beer. After another 20 minutes we notified the hostess once again we needed someone/anyone to take our order. We finally received our food about 30 minutes later. We again had to go the hostess to get our bill again we asked to please speak with the manager again we were ignored. The hostess delivered our bill. I was in the restaurant industry for over 10 years and my dinning partner for over 12 years & we have never experienced this total lack of customer service & professionalism.

Food was great. Service was friendly but mostly unattentive. Queso con Chile soup was very spicy. Half off margaritas Wednesday was a bonus. I have to remember to not get chips and salsa again. I swear the salsa was GFS bulk tomato paste crap. My Portabello mushroom ravioli was fabulous. My husband loves the smokehouse stack. Pulled BBQ pork, w polish sausage, and cheese. Looks like heart attack on a bun. I will be back for the ravioli again.

This place totally takes me back to when I was a kid and my mom would cook for my brother and me. For starters, the food is not pleasurable to eat at all. You have this feeling due to the surliness of the waitstaff and the fact that you know they won’t make you anything better that you better put the food in your mouth and eat it. Crying won’t help you here. They seem incapable of making food that isn’t greasy, soggy and made without love. I had some passionless salmon with mashed potatoes and rubbery green beans that really made me feel at home. My dinner mate had clam strips and calamari which is of course greasy, but there was no joy in those greasy plates of seafood. We tried to cover them in salad dressing to make it go down easier, but it was barely tolerable. My chowder was so unbelievably salty that it was like it came from a can and then they decided to throw more salt to give the illusion of homecookin’. When the waiter noticed we weren’t eating it he informed us that all seafood is made of salt and that it was good. Thanks… I’ll just put that soup right in my mouth and eat it because you say its good. Their drinks are once again right out of the back of 1970 sunset magazine. There are probably two that are even bearable and the rest are just an amalgamation of cheap crappy liqueur and no real booze. None of the coffee drinks contain espresso which means you’ll get old tasters choice and thats what you get. Don’t let the packed parking lot fool you, I think there is a baseball field or something nearby because people can’t possibly all be eating here.

I have been here for dinner several times. Decided to stop for lunch while running errands on a Saturday afternoon. We wanted to sit down in a nice place with air conditioning. Our table was sticky. My reuben sandwich was good. Hubby’s hoagie was great, with home made freshly fried thick potato chips. My onion rings were huge, but heavy and greasy. The cole slaw had too much liquid, but tasted OK, if bland. The bottomless lemonade was way more sugary than I’d make at home, but we needed cold liquids because it was a hot day. Most people would like that sweetness level. A bit much for us. The waiter was attentive, and refilled our lemonade glasses without delay. There were only a few other parties in the restaurant for lunch on a Saturday. This visit brought my rating down a notch. I would have given the place at least a 3, based on past experiences. This time, I’d have to rate my experience as a 2.

All-in-all a very nasty place. Park in the lot, walk towards the door and you are greeted by the nasty smell of the stale cigarette catchers perched each side of the door as you walk in. Horrible. We entered anyway to(hopefully) enjoy a quick drink and an appetizer before visit to the movies. Normally I wouldn’t mention this, as it shouldn’t matter in 2012, but my wife is beautiful and she is black. Now it transpires that the clientele at this«establishment», at least last night are both classless and racist. Old and middle-aged white males gawking at my wife as we walk in. A older couple sitting at the bar opposite giving nasty racist stares, the barmaid apologizing for her shaking hands(I honestly think she was nervous about serving an interracial couple). Two glasses of wine and the calamari. The calamari was a very small portion for $ 8.95, greasy and tasteless. Considering the wine was only $ 2.50 a glass it was OK — but it is late January in Ann Arbor — where the hell did the fly come from in my glass? This place is just dirty. Yuk. Never again. Dirty place, classless, racist regulars. Me thinks not!
