Cheapest place that is close to the University of Michigan, so it does the job. I stayed one night for ~$ 55. It’s rather dirty in that there was hair of the worst kind on the bed and the air smelled like cigarettes, but again, it serves the purpose of providing shelter, rather than a luxurious stay away from home. The shower is sufficiently hot and pressured, and towels and small packets of soap and shampoo/conditioner are provided. Free, strong wi-fi. The hotel staff is very friendly: I had to check out in the morning in a rush and no one was in the front office so I left a note with my key on the front counter. On the way out I ran into a hotel manager, explained what I did, and he was totally chill with it so I ran along on my way.
