If you are moving to another house and it needs renovations before move-in the first thing Ken will tell you is that it is his passion to help you get the new house ready for move-in. Do not believe him. His passion is to make money and to do it with as little effort as possible and as cheaply as possible mostly at the expense of the customer. The next thing he will tell you is the best way to get work done efficiently is for the house to be empty. Not true. When you are not there to oversee the work the workers show up late or leave for hours at a time. When you show up and they are not there, they say they are out buying supplies. The biggest problem with this company is that they bill by the hour but just total up the hours at the end of the day and do not tie the hours to specific projects. Also they do not write down the tasks or projects you want done. They just rely on their memory. That is why when we asked for a simple task to be done(priming some paneling in our lower level) they primed the entire room — rough hewn beams, woodwork and all! It was a mess and ruined our lower level. Since our job was apparently a small one for them they came and went as they pleased. Sometimes they would be working at another job for days at a time and we did not see them. Given their erratic schedule no wonder they could not remember what needed to be done at our house. They said they would fix the mess they made but refused to write down who would do the work(they mentioned using trainees), when the repair work would start and how long it would take. We took a small reduction for the cost to fix the mess from what we owed them and cut them loose. Overall we think they overcharged us by at least $ 3,000 not to mention the stress and misery they caused us by ruining our lower level. Oh and I forgot to mention they used our porcelain kitchen sink for clean-up and left a big chip in it. Never acknowledged it as if it was just part of doing their work. These people are very unprofessional and unethical. Employ them at your own risk.

Our two projects went a lot more like da. described than Jerry. When my husband asked the team head to correct something that was done sloppily, he was told that he ‘sure was picky.’ Looking for someone else to do our other projects.

Ken’s crew is administered from afar by Ken in Seattle. First turn off. Although the scope of the work fluctuated at my fault they did do their best I believe. But the attention to detail was not there. Three years later I was having a problem with the type of material they used. Contractors said it was wrong for that application. I called Ken and after he told me he stood by his work and quality refused to come and look at the problem I was having unless I paid him an hourly fee. Astonishing. He claims to stand by his work but denied he caused any problem and refused to come look at it with out me doling out at least $ 50.00. Don’t hire these guys.
