I would not normally write a review of a supermarket, but I had to do it for this one. Best selection I’ve found at a Meijers yet. Wide aisles, very open floor plan, comfortable shopping environment if you are not a fan of crowded and cramped stores. It does have it’s flaws. The prices of everything I looked at were higher than I’ve seen in other similar stores. The further to the rear of the grocery section I walked, the stronger a nasty odor became. It smelled like a sulfur plant; reminiscent of Dundee’s infamous aroma. It was enough to detract from the shopping experience. This was my first visit to this store, so I don’t know if the smell is always there. The cashiers were astonishing. Some were working fast as hell and still taking forever, while others were slow, sluggish, chatty with other cashiers, and with no sense of urgency when they have a huge line. We were at the latter. A long line of full shopping carts behind us and our cashier had to stop scanning or bagging whenever she was talking to us, which was the entire time we were standing there. I couldn’t believe the work ethic of these cashiers. She. Would. Not. Stop. Talking. Our baby was crying, she asked«Tired or hungry?» My wife said«Hungry.» That was all we ever said to her the entire time. She went on for what felt like an hour talking about her mom and her sisters. Keeping in mind that she was unable to do her job and talk at the same time, and that she knew our baby was hungry and crying the entire time, it took much restraint to remain polite towards her. I assume Meijers managers make next to nothing per hour if they can let that level of productivity slide. I looked up and down at all the lanes and saw what looked like the exact same situation happening to every other shopper. While driving home we discussed this ridiculous experience, and found that we had a mutual feeling that the theme throughout this store, not just the checkouts, is «Lazy & Careless.» The outer façade of the building is very cool; it looks like a small historic downtown district by pure design. That earned one star for being so unique, and the second star was earned by the great selection available.

I have had negative experiences every time I’ve gone to this Meijer. Extremely Long lines, shelves rarely stocked, terrible customer service. I have 2 kids and asked one of the outside workers to help me load my grocers in my car. He was so rude and walked away when I couldn’t find my car right away. I’ve learned my lesson after going 4 times and each time it never getting better. I won’t be going back.

Great selection. Checking out is terrible. I just stood in line for 45 minutes while a cashier named Joanna went as slow as I’ve ever seen a human check anyone out at a register. She stopped twice to refill her drawer, and then again to switch out with a new person who was equally as slow. She also asked me 5 times — not exaggerating — if I found what I needed. Please find faster and more capable register attendees or we will be shopping elsewhere.

Great grocery store — One stop shop everything you need you can find here! I love how many employees asked if I needed assistance — Everyone was involved and working very hard!

Open 24 hours. Clean. Good prices, and good parking. They have pretty much anything you might need… ever. What more could you ask for?

Can’t this store ever have enough lanes open? It’s 45 minutes of shopping and 30 minutes to check out.

This Meijer is for people who like to eat, not cook! Located in a faux village façade, it’s more cozy than most. The aisles are shorter and wider. Lots of prepared food in front, a very small clothing section. Register lines are shorter, too, but what’s even better is that the staff seem happier than the staff at Kroger’s. And the prices are the same as at more modest Meijer stores!

I love this Meijer! I know that generally all stores are the same but for some reason, I really enjoyed shopping here. The produce is always plentiful and fresh. They always seem to have everything that is on sale… very infrequently are there items out of stock. Hubby and I enjoy the beer and wine samples… we always end up picking something up :)

I purchase my gas at this store for all 4 family vehicles, they have a longtime employee named Madan who solves ALL problems quickly. The employee turnover rate and constant training of new employees makes checkout slow at times but Madan solves all problems quickly and positively. Whatever his title is he deserves twice what he is paid…

This Meijer is a pretty reliable one. There is plenty of fresh produce, a lot of weekly specials that keep costs down, decent parking, and a courteous staff who has helped me on many occasions when I’ve tried to find something and gotten lost. It’s generally a clean store although there are times that I’ve been here and items have been scattered on the floor. I’ve noticed this more in the clothing area but I also have seen it in the grocery and produce section. I do think that the selection here is outstanding(but also, that is true of Meijers in general, all stores). If you need health items or first aid items or medicines, this location has an excellent selection. If you want higher end, international groceries there is a good selection here. My only complaint is that it gets really busy here at times in the evenings, but there seem to have enough checkout lanes to get people in and out.

I know it sad but this store is an every day stop for me. This is our go to store when we need basically anything. The pharmacy is great! I like that they have late hours and make filling prescriptions super easy. They’ve even started an auto fill on prescriptions like vitamins and other regularly needed medications which is nice because the customer doesn’t have to do anything other than pick it up. The pharmacist here really enjoys his job and is super friendly and helpful. I have a toddler and often have questions when sickness arises. He’s eager to get answers and comes right out onto the floor to help get the correct medication needed. The general merchandise here is great. It’s rare that we don’t find what we need and often at lower prices than other places. They have everything here. The store is always clean and kept up nice. Things are easy to find. The grocery is well organized and they have all of our favorite brands. The vegan/vegetarian section has a great variety and yummy brands that we love as we do not eat meat. The fresh produce is very often fresh and enjoyable. There have been a couple of times when I’ve wondered but mostly we have been satisfied. In this area I definitely recommend supporting local farmers, which we do, but we enjoy Meijer produce for fill in items. The prices here on produce are great too. Other local grocery chains are more expensive for things like strawberries and avocados and many other things. Lastly, my favorite, the garden center. I have been impressed this year with their selection and prices out there. I’ve gotten flowers and shrubs from local nurseries and spent a lot of money on landscaping items. I went to Meijer to get a few annuals, the selection was great and I spent way less than I thought I would. Great store, great staff. We enjoy visiting this Meijer every day ;).

Nothing screams quality like a bottle return where 1 machine is off, 1 is out of order, 1 only takes 3 cans at a time, and the other 2 are full. The checkout situation is also quite dire. Out of 20 aisles you’ll be lucky if there are 2 actual people working, and whomever decided those self-checkout stations were the way to go was an idiot. Very entertaining watching an employee have to blow in to the bottle slip/coupon slot for each of the 15 slips you got at the machine that only took 3 cans at a time. Next time I’ll just go somewhere else.

Since I worked at Meijers in college and have shopped at one Meijers or another for my whole life, I know where everything is here, which counts for a lot. Also, I think it’s a good middle ground between low prices + low quality(Walmart) and ridiculous yuppie products and prices(Plum, Whole Foods). This Meijers needs to get its act together in two areas of importance to me though. THEDELI: What the heck happened, people? First, Hot Deli Man quits, then it’s all new people who don’t know what they’re doing, then it’s a new batch of people who don’t even know where they are, and NOWTHENUMBERTICKETMACHINEISBROKEN?!!‘najfirk Also, they are always out of chocolate milk drink boxes.

Looks pretty clean and is spacious. AND it’s right across the street from a Culver’s, so I don’t really have any complaints.

While my preferred grocery store is the west side gem, Arbor Farms, this west side Meijer is excellent. Clean, well stocked with excellent staff, it’s a great place to shop locally(Meijer is a MI-based business) and find whatever you need. The pharmacy is efficiently run, customer service moves quickly even when the line is long, the deli is also efficient under pressure(and always willing to give you the cheese they are slicing for you). They have an impressive beer selection, good-sized gluten-/allergen– free department and a huge fresh produce section. We’re hosting a boy exchange student this year so with mperks and already fair prices, Meijer has helped us keep our grocery budget reasonable.

This s the Meijer I go to for most of my grocery shopping. It’s the newest of the three Ann Arbor area Meijer’s. It has the usual set up and I like the produce and meat departments. It’s a pretty nice place to shop all in all. I think I save the most money there too.

I would say that this Meijer has gotten better over the past few months. I really appreciate that on a busy evening they have multiple check outs open. I have been at store when every check out is open which means customers don’t have to wait in line for an exorbitant amount of time. This is awesome. Meijer has almost anything anyone would need. Vegans, vegetarians, omnivores, and everything in between! I will say that their meat counter has been a little disappointing. Not their staff per se, but the steaks I have purchased have been tough. Their packaged beef/hamburger and every other meat has been great! I love their produce. I really like their deli. It can sometimes be slow, but they always apologize and are really friendly! I ordered a cheese tray from their deli and it was outstanding! I wish their bakery section had more artisan breads. They have loafs, sandwich buns, etc, but I wish they had sliced artisan french/italian breads… Their prices are reasonable! I love that this location is convenient and highly recommend it!

I usually go to the Ann Arbor Saline Rd or Carpenter Rd locations, but this place has the best garden center of the Ann Arbor Meijer locations. So I head there in the spring for sure. You can get roses and other perennial shrubs. Just be sure to get them soon after they arrive at the store. Veggie & herb plants arrive in time for spring planting. Nice selection of annual flowers like petunias, impatiens, etc. I have a hard time not trying to buy everything in the produce section. It’s fresh, and the prices are great. The Health & Beauty section has nearly everything I could want to make myself feel healthy & beautiful.

My most important items are produce(for me) and pasta(for hubby and toddler) and formula(obviously for the little baby). Everything else is just gravy. I love the super fresh produce. I was told that meijer does a taste test when the trucks bring the fruits and whatever they don’t like gets sent back where it came from. Out cold. Throughout the store you will find a more than just a store brand version of wonderful products. You will see«meijer basic», «meijer gold» and«meijer organic». It’s kind of fantastic. On top of all the groceries I need, they have all the household things I need(and then some) on the other side of the store. Here’s the cherry on top of the cake. When you go to check out, they have a normal sized(not 12 items or less) self check out. Conveyer belt and all. You don’t have to deal with a single person if you don’t want to! … I never want to.
