This was bad right from the start. I wanted to try a new optometrist, and Meijer Optical had a half-off coupon. I made an appointment online for Thursday after work. When I got there, it turns out the Ann Arbor-Saline branch isn’t set up for online appointments, and forwarded it to another branch. I came back the next day for the eye exam. It turns out, the optometrist missed my astigmatism entirely and made an incorrect prescription. The glasses selection was awful and overpriced, I chose the least offensive frames and was told the whole thing would come to $ 385– about 3 times what I was expecting, and delivery was 3 weeks in the future. When I got the glasses, my vision was swimming badly even though I had done progressive lenses before. I was told I ‘needed to get used to them’ and to allow time. The frames were too big for my head, I was assured the adjustments they could do would fix that– it didn’t. Two days later, I was physically sick from the swimmy vision, I took the glasses back. It seems only the manager could do a refund, and, of course, she wasn’t there. The woman was shocked I was returning it only two days later, and the manager finally refunded me. Even though they may have the Meijer’s logo– this is not Meijers, and they don’t follow Meijer’s guidelines. Beware!!!
