We love this place. We come here often when we are in Ann Arbor, and we have never been disappointed. The service is fast, and the final product is delectable! The prices are also fair, I usually end up paying about $ 12 for pizza and breadsticks for my wife and I. You come in and place you order to a person standing behind the counter. They proceed to roll out the dough and make the pizza right there in sight. The store is efficient in the way they take orders, and this efficiency does not at all come at a sacrifice for quality. Now the pizza, it is so simple yet so amazingly delicious. I love pizza(like most people), but I always have this gross feeling after filling up on greasy pizza. I do not have that feeling at all after eating here! Their pizza tastes so fresh you will almost think you are eating something healthy and not stuffing your face with bread and cheese! We usually order either the margherita pizza or the classica pizza, both of which are delicious. The margherita pizza has that fresher taste that I really desire when I come here(it is topped with pieces of fresh mozzarella), while the classica pizza is a simple take on the classic pizza a lot of us grew up on but so much better. The bread sticks are also super tasty so you might want to get a side of them as well! If you go to school at UofM, live in Ann Arbor, or are in the city for any reason and are looking for a place to eat check this out!

Yummy pizza! Try the prosciutto with onions. Definitely get butter crust and chili oil.

The pizza here is the best in town. I’ve tried the others(Mani, Bigalora) and Neopapalis wins hands down. The north beach Bianca is better than NYC pizza. I’m serious. It’s that good. Their beer selections are aways on point and it’s a great place to grab a meal and enjoy it on the patio when the weather is good.

The best thing about the pizza is the crust: crisp, airy exterior and a tender crumb. But the toppings are mediocre at best, and, worst of all, they overwhelm the good crust with way too much cheese. There’s too much even when you ask them to use half as much.

They make great pizzas! But also… they make great salads! One salad and one pizza is enough for two people(don’t make our mistake and order two pizzas and a salad… way too much food). You get a slip to write down what you want in your salad, pizza, or sandwich, order at the counter, pay, and then you get a number and sit whenever you want. I got the north beach Bianca pizza(figs on pizza… yes!!) and salad with house dressing. I got literally every vegetable in the salad and it was great. Definitely recommend this place for the food!

easily best pizza place in Ann Arbor. Friendliest staff around, great deals, and the best selection of toppings. The north beach bianca pizza is to die for, and the sweet potato fries are unlike any you’ve ever had before!

This review is in particular for the sandwich/wraps they sell since it’s the only thing I ever order. They’re well packed, full of quality ingredients and well priced. Have never gotten a bad sandwich in the few years that I have gone there and the owner and staff are always welcoming. Definitely an Ann Arbor staple, look forward to see their business grow.

Neopapalis has been added to my rotation of good restaurants to visit in downtown Ann Arbor. If you want to feel classy and sophisticated by ordering something made only for you, but still want to keep it real, this is the place. The prices are great. One of the best places to get a real salad in this town– with toppings like Canadian bacon, garlic, house made dressing… yum. They don’t skimp on their sandwiches either. And last, but not least, the pizza… One pizza(one size fits all) will easily make you full. You order from scratch and you can see them put it all together, from stretching the dough to pulling your creation out of the oven. Everything is fresh. Subway’s got nothin on this place. The staff are always friendly. You order and pay first, but each time I’ve gone, staff always come by to make sure everything is made to your liking.

I’m a fan of Neo’s. The food is really tasty and reasonably priced. I’d highly recommend getting a pizza with a buttered crust, which they’ll throw in at no extra charge. On top of that, the staff is friendly and the environment is nice. They have a good bar in the back of the restaurant. If you’re looking for pizza by the slice, you won’t find it here. Only personal pies are served. You’d be better off heading to NYPD, which is just a short walk away, if you’ve only got room for one slice.

While I don’t think their pizzas are the best deal in town, I’m a huge fan of their salads. Priced at a reasonable $ 6(+), it comes in a humongous bowl that actually fills you up. Their ingredients all seem extremely fresh as well. To leave y’all with a pro tip: get the sweet potato fries! They’re delicious.

I’ve been coming to Neos since they opened and have been a loyal customer and supporter. I am so disappointed by their customer service and food quality at NIGHT when Joe leaves and apathetic college kids run the place. Joe really needs to hire a night manager to keep these kids in place. Several times, at evening service, the kids offer the worst service possible. Here are a few examples: The bartender is scatter brained asking us to pay after we already cashed out. «chef» burns pizza and they mess up peoples orders around us. the cashier argues with customers. NOONE offers any apologies over mistakes(they’re kids). Seriously Joe needs to hire a manger to train these kids on basic customer service. It pains me to leave 2 stars. I hope Joe cleans up the night crew.

Very good pizza for the price! The service is great as well. Neopapalis has one of the best salads in Ann Arbor too with fresh vegetables.

Ordered Margherita Pizza for $ 8.50. Went to Pieology two days before thinking I had a better experience at Neos but it was a long time ago so I had to revisit to determine which was better. Our pizza was thinner than last time and carried less cheese. A total of 5 Basil leaves does not make a significant impact on taste buddy. If you’re gonna up the price for a specialty pizza it better be worth it. I also requested to have some pesto on the side to dip my crust into. One employee said no cost, then one butted in and said it would cost $ 1. I was okay with that, but by the time I got to the register a simple scoop of pesto on the side became $ 3. It was as if they were BS-ing me… Unsatisfied with my experience, I think I’ve decided that I prefer Pieology over Neos. Pieology has some downs too but they have a lot more pros that are significant(cheaper, unlimited toppings, delivered to your table, free pesto on the side).

This is easily the best pizza in Ann Arbor. It slightly beats out Mani on taste and kills it with price. If you want to be blown away, you have to resist the temptation to load up your pizza with all kinds of toppings. Simpler is better here. Must try: 1) white pizza + garlic crust(no toppings) 2) pesto pizza w/fresh mozz and garlic crust(also no toppings) 3) margarita(obv no toppings) The classic and red pizzas are good, but if that’s what you order you won’t realize why this is the best pizza you’ll ever have for under $ 10.

It was my first time there so the workers there explained how the whole pizza sandwich salad process worked. They were friendly and informative. I decided to get a custom made salad and my friend got a custom made pizza. The food was made quickly and it tasted delicious. There were unlimited vegetable toppings and my salad only cost $ 6. I got the chipotle ranch dressing which I highly recommend. My friends pizza was delicious As well, and we got sweet potato fries to share. It was overall a great restaurant and I will be back for more!

5⁄5 stars for customer service, 5⁄5 stars for the pizza, and 4⁄5 stars for the pricing. I had never been here before and I thought they did slices, so I stopped in. Instead I ended up with a HUGE pesto pizza with mushrooms($ 9 for the base pizza, $ 1 for each topping) and the pesto must have been basil pesto or something, as it tasted sweet. Very interesting combo. I was wearing my film fest pass when I stopped in and the older man behind the counter chatted with me a bit about that, and also said goodbye to me when I left — very nice customer service. A2 Restaurant Week is coming up and this place does 2 for $ 15(two one-topping pizzas plus 2 drinks) which is a great deal, so I may revisit them then.

I like the sandwiches here! It’s only $ 6 each!(You pay more if you want more toppings). When you come in, you fill out a sheet and check the boxes of what you want in your sandwich. Then you give it to the server and they prepare your food! The sandwiches are cheap and delicious!

Finally, salvation. Ever since moving to Michigan, I have been stuck in the Ann Arbor dining conundrum: Cheap, greasy food that may taste ok but leaves me bloated and hating my life decisions, versus tasty, elegant food that will burn a hole in your wallet. It seems everywhere I have gone has either cheap, meh food or tasty food that I can only afford like once a month. I now need to look Neo more! NeoPapalis serves delicious, high quality pizzas that are definitely share able for $ 10 a pop and absolutely delicious sandwiches for $ 6 Pizza was great, but I really fell in love with the sandwiches. The options they give you are pretty much the top shelf of Babo’s(roasted garlic, brocollini, olives, artichoke, arugula, mushrooms etc.) yet for a fraction of the price. All this comes with delicious meats and freshly baked bread. Definitely had a mouthgasm. Everything is clean and staff was incredibly friendly. They offer a nice patio area, so so bring a date and split a pizza and sandwich!

On my first night in Ann Arbor my cabbie recommended this place as a must before I left town, so on my last day I made it a point to swing by with a friend and grab some pizza. To lay out the feel of the place, you walk in to the area where they are making the pizzas, stretching the dough, and doing all the other pizza related things they do… then you order your pizza at the very same counter, take a buzzer and simply seat yourself. So, if you are expecting a sit down, waiter service style place, NeoPapalis is not your jam. It was nicely laid out, in a newer building with an almost cafeteria style feel and a small bar in case you want some wine or locally brewed beer. Now, moving on from the building and onto the food! The pizza was good. I cant say excellent, but it was definitely good. We had the special chicken, artichoke and pesto pizza, so I cannot comment on the red sauce which seems to be a hot button in several other reviews. The crust was on the thinner side, but not too crispy and definitely not too dense. The one down side was the pizza crust was almost too light to hold a pizza with more than a couple of light ingredients on top of the cheese and sauce. That didn’t really detract from the meal, just made me work a little harder for the first two bites of each slice. Also, we got the parmesan ranch bread sticks on recommendation from our driver, so of course we ended up partaking in an order. The bread sticks were standard sticks, and oddly enough… a tad sweet. But all in all the service, atmosphere, pizza and bread sticks gave what was expected of them, a full belly and no major complaints.
