This place is incredibly average. The food is decent but way too expensive for what it is. I got the chef sampler and split it with two other people and I think that was worth it, but to buy an individual meal here is just way too expensive when there is better and cheaper food elsewhere.

I came many time and this is not my 1st at the restaurant. The restaurant is authentic Lebannies serves variety of halal dishes. We ordered the chef sampler which comes with the appetiser and soup or salad. The portion was good and large enough for more then what the description says. It was Sat night and the seating areas almost full. The restaurant accommodates large groups family kinds and good for fried gathering or big meeting. Although it was fully booked the service was great. We were so happy and very delighted going to the restaurant over and over. Over all we definitely recommend to give it a try.

This place earns marks for being what is essentially the replacement of La Shish. It is beautiful inside. They have stained glass windows, and has larger booths where you can sit on red plush cushions as you dine, if you are in a larger party. The food is good, but not great. I actually can’t bring myself to go here anymore, since Pita Pita is down the road. It’s just really too expensive for what it is. If we could get the Pita Pita’s food with Palm Palace’s décor, that would be perfect. I think it’s a good place to bring somebody who has never had Middle Eastern food before, since their food is not quite as zesty as the more authentic places. They also have a very small area with a few sauces and spices for sale, but again, there’s an awesome middle eastern grocery less than a mile away as well. It is definitely an elegant dining experience.

Their Fattoush salad is decent, awesome grilled chicken. The garlic yogurt is a little too spicy for my liking.

Great place we went there twice and we loved it. The meat is very tender and juicy. Kofta lamp chops fantastic. Shawarma was great too. If you are big party call and ask for Peter he will hook you up.

The food is great! Very light and fresh. The staff is also kind! They have good choices! I definitely recommend the tabouli! I would definitely recommend coming for a nice lunch or dinner. Prices are very reasonable!

I stopped eating here after reading the health department reports. Go to washtenaw county health department to check out any area restaurants so you can make an informed decision. I used to love the hot pitas with garlic sauce and the mint flavored lemonade was really excellent. I was sad to give this place up but we also had some less then ideal service too. All too much to handle.

Some restaurants create value through quality. Some restaurants create value through quantity. I wanted to give PP three stars at first, but the meal I was served dissuaded me. Perhaps if I enjoyed quantity over quality, I would have given them three stars. It’s up to you.

I have had a number of poor service experiences here. Once, two waitresses had a brief but LOUD verbal altercation in the dining area about which one was waiting on a booth of customers. Awkward. Another time, a different waitress accused me of lying about my order when she got it completely wrong. All three still work there, as of very recently. And the food, which used to be quite good, is now mediocre on a good day. I’ve had raw meat served to me(I didn’t order kibbee fyi) as well as kabobs that were literally cooked to the point of being charcoal — they were carbonized. Nasty food, rude servers. There are many better places around for Middle Eastern cuisine — Haifa Falafel, Pita Pita… Try them.

The food was very good. We ordered the vegetarian combo. The variety was good, hummus was delicious and bread was fresh. The service was slow and never removed plates before bringing dessert, our coffee became warm by the time she brought out creamer. I will go back but ask for different server next time.

Probably would of given 2 stars for food, zero for service. Ordered — lentil soup, lamb grape leaves, and a side of grilled vegetables. Since there were all appetizers, I would of expected these items to arrive at the same time. Soup came first, than the veggies(after soup was finished plus a few minutes afterwards)… Grape leaves didn’t arrive until 45 mins later! Once everything was gone. Lentil soup was under seasoned — I’ve diffidently have had better, and made better myself. The grape leaves were dry, and leaves were tough. Grilled vegetables were just all carrots. This meal took over 2 hours from start to finish!!! Not only did the food arrive late, but it took an extra 30 mins to get the bill — to which I was over charged by $ 4 on my credit card. Instead of fixing it, the waiter gave me $ 3 in cash, which still didn’t equal the difference I was over charged. This was my first time dining here, and will be my last.

There were only 2 things good about palm palace. 1. The ambiance. 2. The complimentary fresh pita bread with garlic butter. Everything else was average at an above average price. The first bite of my chicken tawook was raw, and so were a couple other pieces I found. The good thing was our waitress quickly brought some cooked pieces. My husband and I ended up paying $ 50 for dinner(without drinks or dessert). This would be ok if the food was cooked properly and had good flavor, but it was neither. Won’t be back. I’ve also read somewhere that the portions are huge, which I disagree with. Plates are huge but so are the rims around the plate, leaving a smaller area for food.

Palm Palace has always done me well. I’ve eaten at the restaurant 10 – 15 times and have gotten takeout 5+ times in the last 4 years. I see a lot of negative reviews about the service, I wonder why I’ve never had any issues? The hummus here is excellent. Creamy and smooth. The baba ghanoush is great, and the pita(although not traditional) is absolutely amazing. My favorite dish here is either a fattoush with lamb, or the hummus with chicken or steak. I’m not going to give it 5 stars because I read some reviews where the male staff were objectifying female customers. If that’s true, then get your act together Palm Palace. This is the 21st century.

For some reason, I had remembered liking Palm Palace a lot more than I did in my recent trip. I usually get the Falafel sandwich, and normally I like it, but this time, the falafels were completely cold. The tomatoes weren’t chopped small enough for a sandwich wrap like this. It seemed like it was thrown together very quickly. I also ordered the Vegetarian Grape Leaves, which also came cold. I’m not sure if this is standard. I’m comparing them to Jerusalem Garden in Downtown Ann Arbor, which serves heated grape leaves. The spices in the grape leaves were just okay. Our waiter was very hasty with taking our orders and didn’t really seem to understand our questions about menu items.

I grew up in Dearborn, so I have been eating mediterranean food all of my life. I know what it should and shouldn’t taste like, and this restaurant was under par. The service, food, and prices were horrible. The fatoush salad with«chicken shawarma» was awful. The«chicken shawarma» wasn’t chicken shawarma. They don’t cook it on a rotisserie like authentic shawarma would be cooked. The flavor of the salad can be compared to an at home recipe experiment gone wrong. The lentil soup had a terrible flavor and the chicken soup that they gave us to replace the horrible lentil soup was slightly better but not quite edible either. The waitress was constantly MIA, at the end she finally offered us another glass of water… and filled it half way. Pita Pita Mediterranean Grill isn’t as nice in the inside as Palm Palace but their food and service is so much better. Drive down the road and have some decent mediterranean food and save yourself and your pallet from this horrible place.

I enjoyed the food here. It was a spontaneous visit. I was actually searching for a Mexican restaurant but decided to check this out instead. The fresh baked bread was good. Hot with garlic sauce to dip in. I also decided on the Lamb swarma which came with rice. The rice was the typical Mediterranean style dish with almonds. I always love this rice. It was well seasoned and a good taste. The lamb was good and there was plenty to eat. It was a little dry. I tasted the Chicken breast dish which my friend had and I would probably prefer that. Overall it was a good expereince.

I have no problem with not talking to anyone for the rest of the day, and just loading up on Palm Palace’s garlic butter + bread. You get generous portions, which are also generous on salt. Food is great. It’s like Ann Arbor’s Al Ameer.
