Great place. I had the turkey club with homemade chips. Very yummie and fresh. I odered the brown sugar ginger latte. Also, very tasty. I just wish that students didn’t hang out using the majority of the tables for the free internet. The place is small enough. I will be back to try the other interesting latte flavors.

Excellent, quality food. The grilled cheese was delicious and unique. I visited their Plymouth location one other time and I was excited to see they opened a place on the west side. The parking situation needs improvement. I hope it doesn’t become overrun with people on laptops using it as a substitute for a home office, as was the case when I stopped in. Definitely worth a visit for the tasty, unique food!

Wifey and I were in search for a coffee shop to help get us our fix. Since we moved from California this was difficult to find something that met our expectations. Enter the Songbird Café! Oh how I love everything about this location! The staff is always friendly, food is always great and their coffee hits the spot every single time we’re there! Keep up the great work Songbird Café!

I’ve been here on multiple occasions, tried different specials, sandwiches and drinks. The atmosphere is super cute, and the staff is very helpful. I don’t see any reason to keep me from coming back!

Stopped in today for the first time. Very nice interior and very friendly staff. Gave us a sample of today’s soup, tomato bisque. We ordered a bowl and a cup(bowl was significantly more), and soup was delicious. Only improvement suggested was the soup should have been a bit hotter. It was lukewarm. Accompanying plate of bread, drizzled with oil was excellent.

Best chai tea latte I’ve ever had! Friendly staff, decent décor, and reasonably priced, what more could you want.

Finally, a decent coffeeshop on the west side of A2! I’ve been here a few times since the place opened a few months ago. I’m easily pleased when it comes to coffeeshops. The coffee needs to be great and the wi-fi needs to be reliable. Everything else is secondary. THECOFFEE Songbird serves Mighty Good, which if you haven’t heard, is well-named. $ 2 for a 12oz pour isn’t bad. WI-FI They have it. It works. EVERYTHINGELSE — The service is a bit curt but who cares. Smiles don’t make the coffee taste better. — I got a turkey sandwich once and it was tasty. It had apples. — They play music most millennials would enjoy — The National, Beach House, all the favorites. — Songbird is popular among Korean women for some reason. I see a gaggle of them here every time I stop in. I guess they enjoy Beach House too.

I agree with those who appreciate the addition of this restaurant to the local options. The restaurant, however, suffers from having an undersized parking lot. If they’re busy you may find that you have to find parking on a side street. I think that parking has been the leading issue faced by former tenants at the location, so I hope they manage to find a way to deal with the parking shortage such that it doesn’t detrimentally affect their business. The food was well-prepared and attractive, but the food I had was a bit under-seasoned. I’m not a fan of being presented with a tablet-based purchase system that solicits a full-service tip for counter-service, before you’ve even seen the food.

Mornings should be easy — including breakfast! And this place is a winner! It’s a small storefront on eastbound Jackson road just before the I-94 overpass. Carry out or stay in, their large chalkboard menu is packed with upscale breakfast and lunch sandwiches, soups and«snackers», and speciality coffees. Also grab n go beverages like juices and sodas, and some awesome looking sweets as finishers! My first venture was for breakfast: The Florentine — warm goat cheese, spinach, tomato, and a fried egg on a slightly crusted bun. This is not yo mamas Panera — way way WAY above! I want to come back for the Pistachio Turkey, or Spicy Pork and Avocado, for lunch. You are missing a real gem if you pass this one by!

I have been wanting to try this place for a while and it did not disappoint! It’s located right next to the 94 East off ramp and a cemetery, but the inside of the place makes up for it. Very cute. We both ordered the phoenix breakfast sandwich and it did not disappoint! Hot brioche buns, savory cheeses, carmelized onion, egg, and sauce. Yum yum yum! $ 7 for a sandwich tastes like a $ 7 sandwich. Yay face to the max. I ordered a large pumpkin chai, which literally came in one of those large cereal bowls with a handle that you would eat your cereal in. Whoa. whoa… I had to have help finishing it. It came warm the first time so I asked them to reheat it(I hate being that person, but I wanted to be able to enjoy the whole bowl and have it still be hot) and they were obliging and remade it. It didn’t necessarily taste like pumpkin, but it was a tasty chai overall. I’d come here again I think, if just for the breakfast sandwiches.

I love the songbird. This location is so close to work for me that I was both thrilled they were close and sad that my clothes will become tighter. We(5) of us stopped in today and it was packed. Perhaps they weren’t ready for the crowds, but there was a lone seemingly overwhelmed gal taking orders and payment, so it was a long line. I had the prosciutto mozzarella which was fabulous! So fresh and yummy. But huge, so I brought the other half home for dinner. Everyone else loved their sandwiches as well. ½ star missing due to the parking situation. This is going to be an issue with overflow. There were several people working on their laptops, so limited space to sit. We table stalked the corner and they delivered food right to us. I think I’ll be ordering take out unless I’m alone.

Cute little location on Jackson just west of 94. Walking distance from my house = major points! Got the florentine breakfast sandwich, which was the perfect size and delicious. Coffee was great. The menu is pretty similar to the original location. The space is definitely smaller than their Plymouth location. There are a few bigger tables, a bar with seating for four, and a handful of two-tops. There are a good number of outlets. A great study place; I will likely be here quite a bit!

I tried this restaurant out for the first time today. I had the phoenix breakfast sandwich, which was pretty good. My daughter had the egg and cheese breakfast sandwich which was very good, and my son had the sausage, egg and cheese breakfast sandwich. Dear God, whatever you do, do not order the sausage. It was full of gristle, not a little piece here or there, but literally every bite was a nasty mouthful of inedible, springy masses. My son offered me half of his sandwich with the side comment of «The sausage is hard to chew». After 2 bites, I was so grossed out, I threw the remainder of the sandwich away. I feel awful that I let my son eat something so disgusting.
