Friendly, willing to tolerate and distract a restless two year old, great haircut

Sadly, I will not return to Zoey and Joey’s again. Both myself and my daughter really loved our hair dresser, Anne. She really has a passion about cutting hair… However the woman who runs the place was incredibly rude when there was a mix up about the time of our appointment that I will not return.
Disappointing she really ruined it for us and themselves.

This place is the best! We recently moved here from Chicago and were thrilled to find such a cute, kid-​focused, clean and affordable place for our boys to get their haircut. We’ve been 4+ times and have received great cuts every time. The hairdressers are great with their clippers and even better with knowing how to handle little ones. I love this place and would recommend it to anyone. Z+J has a great rewards program and also offers lots of coupons/​discounts. Plus, I am super excited that a 2^nd location is opening on my side of town. 5 stars all around for Zoey + Joey!

Took my daughter here for her first hair cut and she had so much fun! Tricky part was getting her to leave. Also important to note, they gave her a great haircut, it looks amazing. We will definitely be back!

As good as it gets! My one year old was squirmy and wouldn’t sit down the entire haircut. Somehow he came out with a great haircut! Fun toys, tv’s, slides — what a great idea!

Carla was great! Took my daughter for her first haircut — was super quick and the cut looks great! Would highly recommend to everyone! Don’t forget to mention the 20% discount for your kids first haircut. You don’t need to take a coupon along, just have to mention it at checkout.

The great waiting area has a climbing structure and slide, toys, and enough for my kid to do so he doesn’t get cranky waiting. The staff are kind and patient. My son was fascinated by the car chairs to sit in for the haircut, and it helped that the car had all kinds of gear shifts and things he could play with. They also have a TV at each station so you can distract your kid with cartoons during the haircut if needed. We especially appreciated the gentle, adept stylist who knew how to handle scissors around a squirmy toddler who doesn’t understand the need to sit still while someone has sharp blades near his head.

Ann gave my son Logan the best haircut of his life today. He looks super handsome. :) No easy task cutting a wiggly 4 year old’s hair.

Anne was so patient with my son who tends to move a lot and be fearful at times. It’s nice to have a place that’s totally designed for kids!

Hair cut was really uneven, even though it was a simple clipper cut. Won’t be taking my son back there. For $ 19, I’ll just cut his hair myself.

Our favorite place for haircuts! Julie had great ideas for our 3 year olds hair, to emphasize her few curls :) it’s an «event» for our daughter and she looks so forward to it!

We love this place. We have been going there since it first opened! We have two very energetic boys and one with autism. They are very patient and do a great job too. Hint… they don’t sit still. So happy to have this place for us!

Zoey and Joey makes it as easy as possible for both my son and I to go through the hair cut process. My son doesn’t love getting his haircut, but he’s always excited to visit Zoey and Joey. In the past I took my son to the salon where I get my hair cut, and it was a disaster. Since finding Zoey and Joey I will never go anywhere else. He loves sitting in the car, watching a cartoon, and getting a lollipop from the counter. They have a small play area he loves too. We always arrive a little early so that he has time to play. It is about as pleasant an experience one can have when taking a three year old to get their hair cut. Their stylists give a great hair cut, and are extremely gentle and patient with fussy toddlers.

Love this place. My little man was born with a LOT of hair and received his first hair cut at 6 months old. Their stylists are great and very friendly. I highly recommend it for children of all ages. If you sign up for their email you get coupons every 2 to 3 months.

Stylists are prompt, kind and very careful to tell children what to expect. They are patient and aware of children’s movements so that haircuts come out well, but are done both quickly and carefully. The salon is very well decorated to catch the attention of children and is always clean.

I’ve been taking my son to this salon for the last two years (about every 2 months). I love the hairstylist, Sabri. She does a great job with my son’s haircut and is really great working with kids. She will be leaving on maternity leave shortly and I’m saddened to have to find another stylist but, so happy for her because, she seems like a great Mom.
I never knew that a wash/​shampoo and blow dry were included in the cost of the haircut. I can see why they wouldn’t have mentioned it to me because, my child has been going since he was 1 yr. old and just turned 3 therefore, I would agree with them that that age is too young for a wash/​shampoo however, it would have been nice to be asked.
Also, I’ve read some of the negative reviews (under reviews not currently recommended) and can understand why some people felt that the owner isn’t very friendly. I also had the same impression the first few times I came however, now that time has passed and I’ve interacted with her several more times… I think she is actually a very nice person she just might not have that «fake-​friendly» personality that so many of us are used to encountering in a customer service representative; therefore, at first she comes of as not being friendly or welcoming. She also seems to have definitely gotten better at this over the years. So please don’t let that turn you away from going to this salon; she is actually really great!
I also love the setup of the place as there is a play structure right there in the front of the store so your kids can play while they wait. Once it’s their turn they get to sit in these cool little cars with steering wheels and if that isn’t enough to keep them still then they also offer T.V.‘s at each station which does really seem to help keep them occupied. I personally have a T.V.-free home and so at first balked at the idea of him watching T.V. but, it does make the haircut go so much smoother when he stays still. They offer coupons via email and once you accumulate enough points (100 pts.) you get a free haircut. They also offer free Keurig drinks while you wait and free suckers for the kids as they are leaving.

Always a great cut for my son! The staff is friendly and can work with busy toddlers, plus there are toys and fun distractions. Best part though may be the Keurig coffee for mom :)

Absolutely love this place. Brought my four year old daughter in for a haircut. They were friendly and made her feel comfortable. They listened to what I wanted done with her hair and delivered. When I was getting ready to pay, they even told me to check in on Unilocal to get a 3 dollar off coupon. The play room and cute car chairs (my daughter insisted on sitting in the pink one) really made getting her hair cut a fun and memorable experience. On the way home in the car my daughter said, «thank you for taking me to that haircut place today, mommy. I had a lot of fun.»
