Pho Hot

Great phở! Very nice clean ambience! Good for groups! They give you a lot of meat compared to most places. Everything is pretty good. The broth is very tasty and I find that the bowl size is slightly larger than at other phở places. I gave it 4 stars because the staff is not super welcoming they are way too fast and sometimes you feel rushed.

Worst quality noodle ever. The noodle itself was so overcooked, I thought it was a rice cake soup at first. It was not a noodle. It was a one big chunk of white goo. Broth was average (C+). The spring roll was «okay» and the customer service was pretty bad. I walked out without paying a tip. Will never return here again unless I am dying from starvation and got nothing else to eat.

I visited this Phở Hot place a few years ago for the first time. I went back a second time recently and was reminded why I have not been there for a long time. Both times were late evening. First time, I had a combo beef phở bowl. Second time, I had chicken phở with a side of summer rolls.
You know how (most) soups generally taste great when they are piping hot and not as good when they are luke-​warm? The phở broth went from «okay» to «just stop it». So slurp it up fast.
Did I get a old or bad batch of broth? Alot more onions than usual were added as well, which bothered me because the soup almost seemed more like onion soup. Almost.
The noodles were overcooked, thin, and stringy, which means the noodles were old. The summer rolls were one of those shrimp/​lettuce wraps. Not a fan of it. Pescatarian-​friendly though. In my opinion, this place is towards the end of the totem pole among other phở places in the DMV area.
Service was fast. Dining environment okay. Not so keen on the decorations. but no bother. I care about the food.

This is my to go place for the convenience of its location and late hours.
The soup is like any other place tbh. But don’t drink too much of it because it will taunt you with thirst in couple hours.
The lady who usually gives your takeout order is nice.

The old lady working in the front was extremely rude and impatient. She barely spoke English and when I asked her for extra sauce, she started getting very angry. I’m not sure if she was the owner or not, but the restaurant should reconsider who they have greeting their customers. I don’t expect much in this regard. That’s not the type of environment I want to come back to.
Food was ok, but forgettable.

Very surprised. Walked-​in at 10:47 PM on Saturday night hoping to get a hot Phở soup with flavor and was pleased at the fast, affordable, and very GOOD «Imperial» Rolls. The Thai Tea w/​boba was little too watery as stated by other reviewers. If I ever want a hot and fast service of Phở, I would go back to this restaurant. Right off Little River Turnpike and as late open until Midnight (everyday).

Good memories here.
I love their phở here. They give you a lot of noodles and I greatly appreciate that. The Vietnamese coffee and the bo vien phở is my go to meal especially if I want comfort food.
I like this place a lot, I’ve been coming here for years.
I also like that they close at 12 so when I have a late night class I can come here for a good dinner.

Great Broth, lots of meat, fresh vegetables, and good sauces. My go to Phở spot in Annandale. I usually get the #1 or #2. Tripe is always a pleasure. Their Vietnamese iced coffee with condensed milk is wonderful and so is the boba tea (theirs are frozen). I would also recommend the spring rolls for an app.
All in all, the service is always nice and the food is always fast. Carry out took less time than it took to finish this review. I highly recommend Phở Hot.

Generous helpings and options to order «sides» of meat along with your phở, and yummy egg/​spring rolls! I love their mango bubble tea as well. Its my main go to Phở spot. Walk in, hold up 2 fingers so the staff can see it’s just me and my boyfriend, and we are seated immediately. It does take them maybe 10 minutes to come to you. Recently there are newer people that have greater difficulty understanding English and keep missing that we want spring rolls, but I won’t trash it because of one person. They are a bit lax at filling your water, so I tend to leave my cup at the edge in hopes they come by more often than not. They stay open till 12 which is a huge plus. Lighting is a little dim but they do have tv’s going, although only for folks facing the kitchen.

I love phở and this one was delicious.
They are generous with their food portion. Service is efficient but little absent. Restaurant itself is kept clean and maintained well.
I will be coming back for the cold winter days to come.

Delicious and cheap! Only downside is that the phở is super salty and super flavourful, and water isn’t enough to help the salty aftertaste. Serves the perfect amount.

Poor quality. Let just leave at that because this place went down hills since they first opened. I’m sure they changed to cooker because the phở did a 360 degree changes in flavor.

It’s a pretty nice place and the food is pretty good! The only complain I have is that they don’t have WiFi!
They should seriously think about having it because it would attract more people and make they stay longer, at the same time consuming more food/​drinks/​etc! It would be a win/​win situation!

This place is fine. Its not the best Phở, but its darn good and they are open fairly late. The service was prompt and there was ample space. No major complaints, but nothing to rave over either.

This is the first time I have left a review. And I am doing so because they have earned it. The location is good with lots of easy parking. The atmosphere is very relaxed and the staff are polite. The phở was very tasty with lots of meat and noodles. All at very reasonable prices. They just gained a regular customer.

I come here frequent because I like how there’s always parking easily available, the place seems clean and is a nice size dining area so you don’t feel cramped… you actually have some space between your table and others. I pretty much order the same thing everytime… the beef stew with noodles. It’s really good!
I wish the staff were a little friendlier and more attentive though. After they bring your food, they pretty much abandon you. I had to go hunt the server (s) down to ask for my check and one time had to ask about my food that I had ordered 20 minutes ago.
The old man (owner maybe?) seems pretty nice, but the rest of them don’t deserve tips in my opinion.

I love this place. It is the only phở place I know of with an awesome vegetation phở. The meat substitute is awesome as well. My husband loves the number 1 or 2. They are with various cuts of beef.
Do not expect five-​star dining. This is a cafeteria like experience at best. The people will be responsive and will get you what you ordered. They will nickel and dime you for anything extra. My rating is based solely on the consistency and quality of the phở. Also most of the waitstaff do not speak good English so it is hard to customize your order.
I love it that the patrons at Phở hot are very diverse. People from all over the community go there at all times to get a nice satisfying fulfilling meal.

I really like this place, I’ve tried others around and this is my favorite so far. Service normally sucks but the waiter tonight seemed like he made an effort.
The phở was great as usual but my sons bubble tea took a while to prepare.
They dont seem to honor the fact that an appetizer is an appetizer and not an addition to the meal, one reason I didn’t order one tonight. I suggest you order an appetizer and remember the dish number and order it after you finish the appetizer.
I will still return because overall I like this spot.
