Was experiencing irritation with my eyes/​contacts so I called and left a voicemail to see if EOM could take a look. Rick called back within 5 minutes and saw me a couple hours later! Very friendly, funny, and seemed to genuinely care about my eye health. I will certainly return for glasses!

Fantastic! Went to Eyes on Main for the first time on March 14. Sara was phenomenal! She was so helpful in picking out the right glasses for me (my first ever prescription glasses). Not only did she get the best ones for me, but also great sunglasses too! She worked with me to keep the price down as well. They were ready in less than week and she threw in some floaters for the boat! I loved the whole experience! Thank you Sara!

I have a difficult prescription and were the 11^th place I looked for glasses. They have a good frame selection and staff who are really good at knowing what will work both for the look I want and for the prescription I need.
And their follow-​up service has been great (going on 4 years now).

These place was amazing. I purchased a Groupon for an exam and lenses as I already had glasses. Regularly the exams are $ 90 which is actually a good deal because it includes a full eye exam with glacoma test and dilation to check the retinas. With my groupon I only paid $ 100 for the lenses. They had the lenses in stock and were able to have my glasses ready in 15min. I found the place to be super friendly, super fast, and very reasonable on price.

I thought my service was great. These are only my second glasses ever, but compared to my Lenscrafter experience, this was phenomenal. I was given advice and recommendations on glasses that were flattering for my face and head, in general. In the end, I luv my TF glasses and get so many compliments. I paid a lot, but I was thrilled with my experience!

I purchased a Groupon in November 2013 and redeemed it the same month. A few weeks later I got a scratch on one of my lenses and it was replaced free of charge since the glasses were under warranty.
Fast forward to August 2014 and one of my ear pieces fell off. I must admit that I was nervous to have to bring my glasses back in because of the negative reviews on here. But when I came in Pam was very friendly and helpful and let me know that a new part would have to be ordered. The manufacturer ended up sending the wrong part and it had to be reordered, but even with the delay it only took about a week and a half to get my glasses back. Once again, my glasses were repaired free of charge.
The only reason this is 4 stars and not 5 is because of the poor quality (in my opinion) of the frames, which is not anything Eyes On Main can control. Overall, I have had a very pleasant experience here.

I have gone here for years and refuse to try another place for my eyes.
The owner Rick is fantastic, and is a straight shooter. He gives accurate information instead of what you want to hear or not hear.
The low reviews on here are bogus. I moved out of the area to DC years ago and still go here because they are awesome.

I’m blind as a bat, but Eyes on Main made me see again!
Soooo, I refuse, refuse, R.E.F.U.S.E.!! to get lasik surgery. I’m a chicken-​butt when it comes to surgery, especially surgery with your eyeballs peeled opened. NO WAY! Sooo… that means I’m stuck looking like a nerd. But nerds can still look cute too, right?! I’m always looking out for glasses that will make me look like a super hot sexy nerd. Okay… that may be going a weee bit far but at least I can look like a respectable cute nerd.
Walking into this eye glasses boutique nearly brought tears to my eyes. It’s beautiful in there. The product selections they carry are today, trendy, fresh, funky and very fun to wear. It’ll turn any geeky nerd into a cute nerd, if not a sexy nerd.
The staff is so friendly and they’re FUN to talk with. I shop at Eyes on Main a lot and no matter when I stop by Im welcomed with open arms. The staff at Eyes on Main makes me feel like we’ve been friends for years. I’ve purchased over 10 pairs of glasses from Rick. I love switching up my fashiion and eyewear is no different. I like to think Im his number one customer! Sarah is a gem, no matter when Sarah picks out a pair of glasses for me to try on and BAM! instant cuteness.
I don’t know how many people I’ve converted to Eyes on Main. It’s not a new religion but once you experience the brilliant design, stellar customer service and inexpensive prices you won’t know how to live with out it. I’ve convinced friends, family, co-​workers to go here and pick up a new pair of stylish glasses.
These glasses aren’t just functional, they’re art. Forget the same name brand frames you’ve seen over and over in those mall stores. Come here and get something different, something unique, something stylish. You’ll be glad you did. Trust me.

I’ve used this business twice for prescriptions, contacts, and glasses. The initial experience (eye exam, contact fitting) went well, but they are not helpful for any information down the road.
First appointment (2011) went well, got contacts and glasses.
In May 2012, I went in to get a new prescription and contacts. They asked me if I was interested in glasses and said that they all had a two year warranty. «Oh that’s good. The ones I purchased from you last year have recently broken so would you be able to repair those?»
The owner apparently had a better memory than I, saying I got my glasses three years ago. I asked him to double check in the computer, and it said I got them a little over a year ago. After that was the case, he didn’t really offer any explanation, but the warranty did not apply for those. I just said I didn’t want to get glasses through them since the warranty was apparently unclear. I did get one years worth of daily contacts though.
I was able to find a deal for glasses online yesterday so I called Eyes on Main to ask for my PD measurement. Talked to the secretary, was put on hold, talked to the secretary, was put on hold, and finally talked to the owner. He told me he couldn’t give me the PD since I wasn’t getting my glasses through them (ultimately. He attached a lot of unnecessary explanation). I asked him if it was on file, and he even told me he was looking at it at the moment.
So it’s fine if you want to pop in and get a prescription, but they are of no assistance if you need some information afterwards.

Very disappointed. I bought a Groupon for use at this establishment and we had a disagreement over how it could be applied. I found the owner to be very shortsighted and argumentative. Basically I wasted my money on the Groupon.
I really strive to support local area businesses and do so every chance that I can but I simply cannot support this establishment. He simply shows no sense of community, there is no reason for me to give this place my business or loyalty.

I picked up a groupon for Eyes on Main because I needed a new pair of glasses. My current pair are back from the last time the Mets almost made the World Series. Yep, a long time ago.
My eye exam was conducted by a knowledgable doctor and I had great help in picking out a stylish pair of frames. The amount of choices for frames was extensive. There is also a nice set up where a camera-​mounted computer can take photos of you to do side-​by-​side comparisons if you have narrowed down the selection of glasses to a few. Nice use of technology.

Very friendly warm atmosphere. These folks really know what they’re doing.

I signed up for Unilocal just so I could write a review of my awesome experience at Eyes on Main.
I generally find that getting new prescription glasses and sunglasses is an arduous, expensive, frustrating, and not terribly satisfying experience. After having a very bad experience at a place in DC, where I got a pair of glasses 6 months ago, I went to Eyes on Main for sunglasses.
It was a total departure from my previous experiences. Both Rick and Shannon provided excellent customer service throughout the process of choosing, ordering, paying for and picking up the sunglasses. Shannon helped me pick out the frames (which I always have trouble with, since I can’t see what they look like on me). They explained to me all of my options in plain English, and they were very knowledgeable about my insurance plan.
They also did a lot of nice things that were above and beyond what they needed to do – they allowed me to pay for the sunglasses in two installments; they fixed a problem with the pair of glasses I got from the previous place; and they gave me a good deal when I was hesitant about ordering yet another expensive pair of frames.
In fact, they were so friendly and helpful that I ended up doing a contact fitting and ordering contacts from them as well (which I hadn’t even planned on!). I came back for probably 4 follow-​ups to make sure the contacts were just right. They made it feel like I could come back as many times as I wanted. Rick, Shannon and the doctor (whose name I cannot remember) were determined to make sure my contacts were just right.
I can’t recommend Eyes on Main enough. In a world of disappointing eyeglass stores, this place is a beacon of light.
